He explained everything in detail and what needed to be done. The next day, he arrived with a new water heater and showed me the rust running down the back of the old one. He installed it using earthquake protocols. Upon inspecting the water heater after installation, he noticed that the sump pump was not working correctly. A tester came out in early July and, due to some overly enthusiastic spring mulching, 'couldn't find' my back flow device (its in the same place it was last year, I guess the company doesn't keep any notes?). Instead of knocking on the door or calling, he filled out a form saying they couldn't find the device but that they would contact me to reschedule. It's now late august, they have not contacted me to reschedule. I get that the company might have a policy about not digging around in customers' mulch, but i think it took me less time to clear the mulch after finding the form than it took the technician to write it out. Why fill out a form and leave instead of even trying to contact the owner?
