They changed owners and have a new location. It threw us off when trying to find the place because it is no longer off the highway. The staff is very nice. And the place is pretty. I was a little sad to see that the wine selection is also very different. They used to have a great selection of sweet wines but now they have only one sweet wine. It was a very good sweet wine so we got a bottle. read more

Visited this winery in the Boise area. There is an area of numerous wineries and we were glad we picked this one. Social distancing is in place and masks are worn. The most amazing thing is the tasting was free. We tasted five wines all local favorites. The server was very attentive and informative. The winery is very nicely decorated In an appropriate wine motif. Very highly recommended. We did buy two bottles to take with us. read more

I ended up buying two bottles from here... oops and I can't wait to sit and drink them from the bottle and not share. So delicious! Teresa Moye was wonderful, fabulous, wonderful! She embraced our large group with open arms, was patient and extremely knowledgeable about the wine. Pour-by-pour she answered my questions and I ask a ton of questions. The tasting room is wonderful, clean, and very welcoming. The setup is perfect for groups, and by groups I don't only mean large (ish) groups, I mean groups as in .... I don't know what I am trying to say... Basically there are multiple counters to taste. Most tasting rooms have one counter for everyone to stand at. This place has multiple counters spread throughout the room with multiple wine geniuses pouring. Great idea!! That way our group of birthday girls could have our own counter without being in too many peoples way. If you are doing the ole tour, this should definitely be on your stop. Put money in your account because you will want to buy several wines. read more

Okay so between November of '20 and May of '21 the service here has drastically changed. If I would have taken the time to write a review in November, my first time here, it would have been a 5 star. But after our experience last weekend...it's a 3, at best. We were greeted very kindly for our reservation at the host stand and taken to a nice table in the back. This is a nice room...I guess they have dolled it up the best they can but there is no windows. So you are in a cave of tables tasting wine. I am always ecstatic to see Andy here, he is my favorite pourer. His attitude did not disappoint this time, but his helper, Helen...this is where our trouble started. After we all decided on the flights we would be trying, she started us all off with the wrong wine. At first I thought maybe she was just suggesting something to start off with...but then the second wine was wrong too. At this point - 2 whites in, I didn't want to switch to red - so we all let it ride on the wrong flight. The second thing that felt a bit off was that Andy was offering his homemade chocolates in little plastic cups alongside the wine tasting. Instructing us on how long to leave it in your mouth before you taste the wine - I don't know, it just felt weird. Helen offered no information about the wines, the grapes or what she was pouring. That makes me sad. I want to buy a wine because it peaks my interest! So while she is pouring our last wine, SHE BRINGS THE TABLET OVER and hands it to our group and asks what bottles we will be buying. Wow! Aggressive much? (We were the only table she was helping, so it wasn't like she needed the tablet readily available for other groups.) Then as we are discussing, she comes over, grabs it out of our hands - then says "oh I guess you haven't decided yet." it was so weird! So pushy for such a laid back place. Of course we purchased wines, but I was shocked that we were seated at 1:30, and we were OUT THE DOOR at 1:53. We probably won't stop back by here for a while. read more

We needed a distraction due to some unexpected life events happening. So on this beautiful sunny wintery day we took a drive that ended up at the tasting room of Fujishin Family Cellars. We were quickly seated and had a delightful server, Brittany. We enjoyed a tasting flight that focused on their red wines plus a Chardonnay. We are not generally white wine drinkers, but we love this Chardonnay and took two bottles home. It has a great finish, not sweet and very tasty. We enjoyed all the wines. They are each unique and delightful. During our visit while talking with Brittany we shared a bit of what was going on through conversations. The surprise was when we got home and opened the bag with our wines, we found a handwritten note from her. It was a very special touch that made our hearts smile at this trying time. We will definitely return to this lovely winery that has some incredible views and great customer service. read more

We stopped in today after sharing a bottle of Fujishin Tempranillo at dinner last night. WHAT a lovely tasting experience. Drake was very friendly and knowledgeable. He even told us stories about some of the wines and the naming of them. We loved two of them so much that we bought a case of each, (the Tempranillo and the Late Harvest Riesling). I would have loved some more comfortable places to sit but all in all...a lovely spot with warm and friendly people who know their stuff. Thank you! We'll be back. read more

Wine tasting in the Snake River Valley and what a great find this was. Free tasting for up to 6 winycyxxcycy es which is awesome. Tried the Riesling (Dry), white wine blend, Mourvèdre, and old shed white and reserve cab. Really enjoyed most of them but had to take home the reserve cab Sauvignon and the old shed white. Prices were good and service was great. We're even considering joining the wine club which looks great. On to the next winery read more

It's rare that we go some where and not but at least 1-2 bottles but there really wasn't a wine in their tasting that we thought was good. Another of my favorite wineries in the area. They have a diverse selection of wines, tempranillo, sarah, petite verdot, mourvedre, and the Amatino ( a blend which is my favorite). Fujishin was a great introduction to wines from the Snake River Valley! I visited the tasting room as part of a party of 3 on a weekday without a reservation. The petite verdot was fantastic and a great introduction to what Idaho has to offer that differs from other regions. Annie was helping us in the tasting room during our visit--she was incredibly knowledgeable and a wonderful host. All of this on top of the complimentary tasting of 6 wines made our visit to the Fujishin tasting room a highlight of our trip to Boise. read more

We had never been to this place before. Yesterday we tried it and actually liked a couple of the wines so we purchase 2 bottles. While at our table, we were talking and laughing. No inappropriate talk, no cursing, just talking and having a good time. 2 separate times, the lady doing the pours walked over to us and shushed us. Shushed us like we were in a school library. The second time she looked at my wife and told her to quiet down. I was embarrassed and pissed off. It was done in a very rude manner and clearly they want to run the winery as a library. No talking, no laughing, no fun. This was not a warm family style establishment. The 6 of us will never step foot in this place again. We don't even want the damn bottles we purchased prior to the librarian lady disrespecting us. Plenty of other outstanding family friendly wineries nearby. This one gets two thumbs down read more

Very disappointing experience. We came in as a family group jumping from winery to winery. We spaced out our experiences so we could go to the different ones in the area. We were cut off at our 4th flight drink, and given no grace or kindness. My suggestion is do not laugh or have fun with your family or they will cut you off relentlessly. read more

We drove from Boise just to check out this winery... The Japanese family history is fascinating and the wines are truly exceptional. The late harvest Chardonnay was absolutely fantastic and the staff couldn't be any more welcoming. I really, really enjoyed visiting this winery. First off, they were the only winery in the area open until 6 pm, which was great because we got a late start driving out from Boise and were only able to visit a few wineries in the area before they closed. This is a locally owned winery by a man, his wife and daughter. We had a nice chat with the man who told us the history of the winery - he was just so nice and helpful. The tastings were FREE which was awesome! And he got my mom to taste a red which she would have never done. She told him she only liked sweet wines and he recommended a sweet red which she loved and ended up buying. I would definitely recommend stopping by this winery when visiting Caldwell. I visited 4 vineyards and this was the only vineyard that had FREE wine tastings. I'm old school and would rather not pay for a "taste" of wine that I may or may not like. Fujishin wine cellars had a welcoming atmosphere with several attendants at several wine tasting bars. Our attendant was knowledgable and friendly. I bought a few bottles of wine to take back to Denver. I will definitely stop here again, the next time I'm in town. read more

The wine was ok, but the woman treated my sister in law and I like we were worth very much less than the elderly couples that left as we arrived. She made it seem like pouring for us the lowest task she had ever had to undertake. When we left, we noticed the license plate on her Stratus said "vinsnob," and it all became clear. If I had known it was going to be a screw top, I probably would have just stuck with my Franzia back in his box at home. On another note, the woman at Hat Ranch, just a little further down the road, was very nice. We tasted some great wines there, and had some great conversations. read more
