One month ago today, my fifteen-year-old yellow Labrador had an emergency while we were out of town. Sarah answered her emergency line at 6 in the morning on a Saturday, and with pictures sent she was able to diagnose the situation quickly, and directed me towards the emergency vet in the town where I was. Unfortunately I needed to make a decision to euthanize my baby, Sarah consulted with me and the local vet at the hospital and between the three of us the decision was made. A sad situation, but Sarah had helped me to be ready for such a situation and helped me through it all. I am very grateful for Sarah and ark veterinary practice!

I was left to needlessly worry about my dog, who was having surgery. Also, my 3rd dog, who is still a puppy, had a bad reaction to a vaccine and the staff didn't take my concerns seriously. We have 3 dogs and will be moving them to a different vet who has office staff that treat their customers with respect and vets who care about communication. I no longer trust nor recommend this veterinarian any longer. Things sure have changed!

He treated him, gave us meds to go and some more in case this happens again and called the next two days to make sure he was OK. To start the process off for a new dog, there's a pretty comprehensive questionnaire. It's as much a questionnaire of the owner as it is about the dog, which is incredibly smart-- many dog owners are as much a problem as their untrained dog! After reviewing my answers, I got a call from the staff, getting Sombra and me scheduled up for a trial day. They managed my expectations, letting me know what would happen if Sombra turned out to have trouble at KTD, or if they needed me to come get her early. I booked a date for the trial, and off we went. The drop off was seamless. I got checked in, they said hello to Sombra, and she was escorted off to the daycare. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and gave me a little card with a phone number to text if I wanted updates. They let me know what to expect, and when I could come pick Sombra up. Hours later, I come by to pick her up. The staff gave me the sitrep on how things went-- Sombra wasn't a great fit for the first play group, so they moved her out into a quieter one, where she fit in great! She spent the day playing with them, and things went smoothly. After the trial day, Sombra was approved to come by without appointment. I'm stoked to use KTD for daycare and possibly boarding in the future. They've won my trust, and Sombra's high standards for play groups. Thanks, KTD!

She is certainly fearful, but under the circumstance I felt like the aggression was a reaction to the pain and stress. She had been spayed and a few of her stitches came apart and she got an infection, obviously she was fearful and in pain. In combination, she is a very fearful dog anyways. At All west, they were understanding of our bad experience and they take things at the dogs pace. I appreciate that they are very upfront and clear about pricing and services. The technicians are patient and helpful, the vet has been amazing...and probably more patient with me! I've been really nervous about getting care for my dog fearing that the veterinarian would be always a terrible experience. They make it positive and we don't avoid it any more!
