Delicious food, excellent beverages and friendly staff. We were there on a summer evening with a busy festival happening across the road. They were swamped, but we still got food quickly. The menu had a number of dishes with local ingredients. The pizza was very good with a thin crust and lots of toppings. Portion size of the truffle fries was huge. Everything we had was great. Just happened to see the roadside sign for this establishment in Townsend. We were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and menu. We ordered the hummus platter which was just right for 4 and too much for just us two as an appetizer. The margherita flatbread was delish. Would come back again for sure! read more

Fantastic! What a great find. We just happened to be driving by and swung in for lunch. Great atmosphere, spacious, outdoor playground for the kids, patio, plenty of indoor seating, lots of local brews on tap. The food is American fresh gourmet farm to table and is wonderful. My boyfriend and I are visiting Tennessee and we were going to go down the street to Monte Real but it was closed. We decided to check out Peaceful Side Social and were immediately surprised and satisfied with our choice! The food is INCREDIBLE and the atmosphere was very nice and friendly. Delicious locally crafted beer and original food choices that break away from your typical diet in the smoky mountain town areas, this place was a real nice place and a good reset. We needed a day to break away from the chaos that is Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and found this wonderful gem in Townsend. Helpful service. The pizza was greasy and the three meat pizza had a 1/4 of a strip of bacon at best. No ham. Pepperoni was the only visible meat. My husband had half of a chicken and it was very dry and over cooked. Beer was okay at best. Table was greasy and dirty. VERY expensive for the nasty food. Wait the hour and a half or two hours at Pigeon Forge and don't come to this place. Going to buy tums and turn in for the night. read more

This place is a great find. Tucked away in a corner off of 321 this brewery has it all! Great friendly service with a twist on American fare. My favorite spot to eat in Townsend. The Peaceful Side Social is a very neat restaurant with good vibes inside and out. Everything is kept very clean. The food was wonderful and the service was fast. Recently moved to the area and after a day spent exploring the Smokies, we stopped in for a quick adult beverage before heading home. So glad we did! We came here from Austin which has an amazing beer and brewery scene. Feel like we found a jewel at Peaceful Side. Sat at bar and sampled a few brews before making our choice. Everything we tried was great. Most were local TN beer and they are working on their own brews as well. GM Johnny was washing glasses and we started chatting. He was so excited about what they are doing, the staff, and what's to come. Plenty of seating inside and out. They are expanding their patio and adding some taps outside as well so this summer this will be the place to be. We didn't try any food but what we saw going by looked amazing. They are pup friendly (outside) so next time we will bring the fur babies and spend a bit more time. Awesome place! Great beer! Get here soon but save us a spot! read more

Loved this place! Lots of room for the kids to play outside and pets are welcome. The beer cheese and pretzels were heavenly. Pizza was hot and tasty. We tried the taco bar. I wasn't very impressed with the taco meat. It tasted and felt like a pork roast that was cooked in a crock pot. It was very greasy too. I got three of them and they came with only meat and onions on them. No cheese or sour cream. Won't re-order those again but will definitely return for the fun atmosphere and the beer cheese and pizza! read more

Food was great, when it finally arrived. Guest beers (they are all guest beers -- brewery?) are good. But-- if they are busy, they are clearly in over their heads regarding service. We waited over 11/2 hours for part of our order. They really need to address this. I was expecting the round to be half the size it was! It would have been enough for two people. The staff was so friendly and helpful. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. What kind of restaurant has a bar but no actual service to the bar? I sat there for 15 minutes before I finally got in line to order a beer and food, only to find out they stop serving the full menu at 8PM and I couldn't order what I needed because I waiting too long to get in line.
