Wow where do I even begin here? This place is so special. My son is highly allergic to eggs and milk so taking him to restaurants and bakeries wasn't really a thing for us before I discovered Peach & Pine. Being avegan bakery/cafe means they don't use any animal products and not only is that wonderful on its own, but it makes it possible for my son to enjoy a fun treat from their shop with zero worry of contamination from his allergens. (YAY!) Ashley is just wonderful. She is always present and always happy to help. She is very passionate and it shows. My son especially loves the margherita brioche pizza but he also enjoys everything he has tried here! I had an amazing oreo sandwich cookie the other day and it was life changing. They have a weekly rotating menu (they are open Friday-Sunday) and I love that you never know what fun treats they are going to be serving on a weekly basis. They post their menu on their instagram and its exciting to go check it out every Friday. They also have an amazing coffee menu so don't miss out on that. My sons first birthday was last weekend so of course I had to order him a cake from peach & pine. This cake was GORGEOUS and the highlight of the party! Just WOW!! Peach & Pine is truly something special. It totally lived up to the hype from following them on Instagram (@peachandpinecafe). On the day we chose to finally get ourselves there, it coincided with their 1st anniversary since opening this quaint brick & mortar storefront. As expected, there was a long line of people. No one seemed to mind not one bit because it's worth the wait! And everyone we chatted with on line was friendly and had been there before. They happily shared their experiences, favorites and suggestions. This is a small shop. Once inside, you are greeted with the wafting of pastries and coffee. It's delightful! On this morning, the bakery cases were full. Everything looked absolutely beautiful and yummy. It was difficult to choose because everything looked amazing. There was both sweet & savory. So there is something for everyone's palate. Both my husband and I got our own boxes filled with delectable goodies. The menu changes weekly. Once home, I was so excited to dig into our boxes and wondered if my many beautiful selections would taste as good as they looked. And oh boy, they did not disappoint!! YUMMY! Collectively, we tried the dark chocolate hazelnut croissant complete with speckled gold shavings, almond croissant, rainbow cake slice, blueberry lemon scone, raspberry pistachio danish and a Biscuits & Gravy. Unbelievable! The selection, the flavors! Had to limit myself to only 2 pastries the plum danish and apple croissant. Both were baked to absolute perfection and the flavors were top notch. Took me a good while to decide on what to get because obviously wanted one of each. Also got a latte. Unlike many places that sell you a large latte that tastes like a glass of milk with flavor and a hint of coffee, the latte here was also perfection. A truly pronounced espresso flavor under a layer of oat milk. Staff were very friendly and offered to help explain any menu items or options if I had questions once they noticed my eyes bulging and jaw dropped to floor, drooling. Service was very prompt. Prices are as expected, not Dunkin' Donuts prices. But very fair. I'm happy to pay for perfection. Didn't post what I actually ate cuz licked that box clean (box pastries came in). Not bad but after trying I don't understand the hype. I think for Vegans it is a slam dunk. If not vegan, might as well stick with regular bakeries. The lemon blueberry scone was the best item and tasted great. Croissant filling was good but the pastry part was too crispy for my liking and took a lot to reach the filling part. Cinnamon rolls are one of my favorite treats and this one fell short. I tasted banana in it, I'm assuming they likely use it as a binder since it is a vegan bakery. Would go if I needed vegan food, would not go back if vegan was not needed. Friendly service, clean place, expensive prices. read more

Holy moly! My insides were doing some serious dances after I had scored some of Peach & Pine's goodies. I opted to stand in line one morning and I was the 4th or 5th customer which wasn't terrible by any means. So many choices so many decisions that were made in a split second but everything I got was delish. The cafe is quaint and everyone seemed to be hustling with a smile. an absolute gem in st james! just a block away from the lirr station, this place delivers the most unique and amazing pastries, both savory and sweet. it's all vegan too! I ordered: becspk croissant: 10/10 (!!!) pistachio brioche roll (9.5/10) I usually don't order savory croissants but the becspk was extraordinary. flaky, buttery, and packed with flavor, it's a must get. pop it in the microwave for 10-15 and it's even better. the pistachio brioche roll was amazing, creamy with a hint of cinnamon taste and crunchy with the pistachios (highly recommend)! there's unfortunately no indoor seating, but they have some tables and benches outside. it definitely gets crowded and they always sell out early, make sure to get there before noon to secure some yummy goodies! read more

Came here due to word of mouth and left pleasantly surprised! This place is only opened on the weekends, but depending on your timing you may end up waiting on a line out the door! We showed up at around 11 and was able to walk in freely. Inside is of course, tiny, but decorated very nicely: think bookshelves lined with old photos and memorabilia. For a vegan bakery, they have quite a selection of baked goods and drinks. My mom and I ordered the almond joy scone, the pain au chocolat, a iced pistachio cortado (yes I know, technically that is not a real drink), and an americano. As per my mother: the americano was perfect. Which is high praise from her indeed! The pistachio cortado was sweet and a bit nutty. Just like the almond joy scone! The scone itself, tiny, but dense as well. The croissant however was the complete opposite. Absolutely massive, and very airy inside. Had almost a sourdough taste to it. If you hadn't told me it was vegan, I would have never guessed. If sweets are not your forte, they do have a variety of unique savory options as well. This small bakery is a not so hidden gem!! After trying their caramel apple and raspberry pistachio croissants, I get why there is a line out the door. I got there right at opening at 10am and waited about 20 minutes. They are some of the BEST croissants I've ever had, with a generous amount of filling and a perfect flakey, buttery texture. I liked the raspberry pistachio croissant the most as it wasn't overly sweet. The croissants are massive and definitely what caught my eye when choosing what to get. They don't have any indoor seating but they do have a couple of picnic tables outside. There is a small parking lot behind the bakery which was a plus. I've been a fan of Ashley's for close to 10 years now. I was so excited to hear she opened up a bakery in St.James. Walking up to the bakery, the air smelled like butter and sugar. It was divine. The bakery is stunning and everyone is friendly and welcoming. We ordered a few different items, a piece of strawberry shortcake, a cookie butter cinnamon roll, and a raspberry sweet corn sandwich cookie. Everything was delicious. One thing I have come to know and love about everything Ashley bakes is that it WILL taste amazing. Also, she makes the BEST frosting (Italian meringue buttercream) you will ever have. Finally got to try Peach & Pine food truck this past weekend as I was on Long Island visiting a friend! They were parked at Secatogue Brewery in West Islip and I got to try so many things from their menu. Everything was absolutely delicious. For savory food- we got two orders of wings (BBQ and Nashville hot) and both were sugar-cane-bone-in with a crispy coating. The Nashville hot were coated in a spicy dry rub and served with a spicy sauce on the side. The BBQ was a wet sauce served with one of the tastiest vegan ranch I've ever had. We got two orders of p'ork dumplings (because they were THAT good), an order of metal fries and the mother clucker which was crispy, spicy and had a well balanced slaw. Even my non-vegan husband couldn't stop raving about the food. For desserts we had the cap'n corn cookies which were my favorite mix of sweet and salty and the cookies were perfectly chewy, just how they should be. We also tried the rainbow scone which tasted like funfetti birthday cake and the dark chocolate chip cream pie which had huge chunks of dark chocolate chips, flaky sea salt and a creamy marshmallow fluff filling- all were an EXCELLENT balance of salty and sweet. However, the show stopper by far was the key lime pie. My husband and I usually don't go for pies, but this was truly outstanding. The filling texture was perfect and unctuous, the merengue was fluffy and lightly toasted and it was truly a wonderful balance of sour and sweet. I think my favorite part was the brown sugar graham crumbles which added a crunchy texture to the pie. The truck itself is super adorable and there were only two people who were running it (short staffed) to a packed brewery and the entire time they were so sweet and friendly. They did their absolute best to get fresh, made to order food out to lots of customers and it was entirely worth the wait. If Peach & Pine cafe is ever parked anywhere near you it is a must try!! read more

I've been meaning to try this place for so long! I've been following on Instagram and looking at all of their delicious pictures week after week. We decided to come down to the betterman distillery in patchogue, which seems to be their usual spot on Sundays. It worked out great, because the better man distillery doesn't start serving food until after 3pm. We ordered the hot lil biscuit and the mother clucker. I just have to say my husband is not vegan and he really really enjoyed the food. The mother clucker had a nice crunch to it and it complimented very well with the slaw, everything seasoned perfectly. But the star of the menu was definitely the lil hot biscuit. I could probably eat like 10 in one sitting. The biscuit itself was seasoned in such a way that had enough heat to it without being too hot. The vegan egg combined with the caramelized onion confit and arugula..... to die for!!!! I can't say enough good things about how delicious everything was. I obviously had to try a desert and although em everything was mostly sold out we tried a dark chocolate chip cream pie, which was amazing! If you are vegan and looking for delicious vegan food, this is the place to come. And if you're not vegan and looking to convince some non veggie friends, this is the place to visit! Got a chance to visit this food truck while at a vegan food fair the truck itself is beautiful they had flowers on it and small menus but also a large board menu. The workers are very personable as they ask for your name for the order and thank you on your way out. When you place your order they gave buzzers so you wouldn't have to stand around for long the food did take about 20-25 minutes it was also very cold outside this particular day so it was a great addition to have. We ordered a New bacon-Ings the sandwich definitely should be eaten while it is warm it was good had a good taste and was a large size. The bacon didn't have much flavor everything seemed to blend but nothing stood out. The BBQ wingz come 4 to an order and also comes with carrot and celery and a sauce I think it may have been ranch. Honestly just from the look I wish I would have ordered another. The wings looked so much like the real thing and had a really good texture. Vegan food and pies... SIGN ME UP! I've seen this food truck at a few spots but I'm writing on the location at the farmers market in Patchogue. Now I understand they're new so they lost a star based on their readiness. I've come twice, the first time the wait for food was over an hour!! i can understand bc the food is made fresh but cmon... i did give them a second chance and came 30min before they opened.... BUT they didn't open till 45min after they said they would and then we still waited 30/40min for our food. the food is amazing. we had the chic'n on their biscuit and it was really good but my fav was the banana pudding pie. i would love to return but hoping they can open on time and without any delays, otherwise ill pass. read more
