After a fun day at a local Jeep event bestie and I decided to give Peach House Restaurant and we were so glad we did! The restaurant was clean with beautiful decor inside, nice clean bathroom (a definite plus), and friendly staff that were happy to help! Bestie and I both ordered a Bird Dawg Club with pasta salad. Every layer of the Bird Dawg Club was fresh, crisp, and flavorful, making me want to go buy some Boar's Head deli meat the next time I'm at the store! The pasta salad was fresh as well with a nice Italian Vinaigrette. I got a Southern pecan bar for dessert which was ok but you know not everyone makes pecan pie bars to my likings. The Guinness Cream Cheese brownie really stole the show as it was warmed and I'm so glad my bestie shared a bite with me! We will be back the next time we are rolling through town! read more

A little disappointed there were no peach items on the menu. The food was good, but kind of ordinary, the soup tasted like canned soup, and my sandwich was ordinary, basically what I could have made at home for far less. My wife was disappointed in her sandwich. She found it bland and dry. No soft drink fountain, so I bought a bottle for 10X what it costs to buy in the store. I get markup, and I don't deny any business a profit, but the drink was like buying a soda at movie theater prices. read more

We love Peach House! I work in Kinston and if we are ever ordering lunch, we always choose Peach house. Their lobster bisque is amazing and is usually on Wednesdays. Other favorites include: the zip chicken salad, the chicken bacon ranch wrap, the buffalo wrap, and the coffees are also out of this world. Usually there is a wait, but we order online and pick it up which minimizes wait time and is a great feature. My only critique is I do wish the sides of pasta/potato salad/etc. were served as larger portions for the price they charge but overall the food is excellent and I've never had anything I didn't like. read more

Stopped in on our way to Beaufort around lunch time. There was a solid local lunch crowd, which is always a good sign, saying good things about the sandwiches and salads on the menu. This place was fantastic. We came by during my lunch hour but the line was outrageous so I worried whether I would have time. I ordered half a blt and a cup of cream of crab soup and my boyfriend ordered the Pollock St grilled chicken sandwich. It was crowded but we found a table upstairs. The place is adorable and reminds me of my parents' house. I mean the place is obviously an old house used as a restaurant and that makes it adorable. So we sat for no longer than five minutes when our food was brought out. My boyfriend could not stop talking about how wonderful his sandwich was. My blt was good but the cream of crab soup was just amazing. That alone could have been a meal. We will definitely be back. Cute environment but food is subpar and my relatively easy order came out incorrect. I ordered a French dip panini and a garden salad with dressing on the side. My order came out as the French dip hoagie sandwich and my salad was a sad plate of wilted lettuce, 2 slices of cucumber, and some shredded cheese. No dressing in sight. They fixed my sandwich order but when it came out the panini was under cooked, soggy and did not taste good whatsoever. I went during lunch. It's a very small crowded house like restaurant with very tiny rooms. No signs telling you where to go when you go in. There is a counter that looks like a check out counter so you order first THEN SIT down. My experience: The broccoli and cheese soup was luke warm. My coworker returned hers ( both of our soups were not hot). We both ordered BLT, I could hardly bite the bacon, I thought I would break a tooth. I ate half a sandwich and threw the other half in the garbage. The prices were very high. A BLT, soup and a drink was $11.00. IT WASNT WORTH IT.. They had fans blowing in every room directly over your food as the ceiling weren't very high so it was freezing in the rooms although it's was cold outside. Would I go back, probably not. It's a locals dream seemingly but I wouldn't join them again. It's was cute, the staff very kind but what I ordered didn't cut it.. My suggestion is to buy a larger property and continue to do business and listen to your customers and you can be one of the finest spots in town for food restaurants . Second visit. I had a phillys steak wrap. It was tasteless and the pickle looked like it had a shot of bourbon. It was crinkly and bent out of shape. The soup was hot this time. Overall, it's over priced. As part of my work travel I love to find where the locals eat. In the office I visited each person said to come here! The menu is simple and has lots of great options. Went to the Peach House today for a working lunch as a suggestion and I was thrilled to have agreed to try it out. Kinston is not known for it's good eats (sorry Kinston folks) but thankfully I have now found the Peach House and will be returning for future good eats. The Peach House is set in a little house, go figure. It is equipped with a cute little front porch where you can dine outside and the inside has various rooms with little tables. You order and pay at the counter, take a number and it is then brought to your table. Peach House has tons of options that range from salads, soups, quiche, sandwiches, and a yowza amount of desserts. I ordered the special which was the grilled chicken caesar salad and it did not disappoint. My co-worker got the ham and cheddar quiche. We were both very happy with our meals. The staff was very sweet and wanted to be sure that we not only were happy with out meals but were happy with our entire experience. I look forward to coming in again to indulge in dessert and will also utilize the Peach House for their catering and box lunches for work events as they advertise this as one of their specialties! Stopped here with my son on our way to Raleigh from the coast. We were craving a simple sandwich and the Peach House was perfect. I had the club and added sprouts (delish and fresh!), my son had a half french dip, but could've eaten a whole one. The menu looked wonderful. No lie, I eat with some picky little co-workers, and they all LOVE coming to eat at Peach House. It's probably pretty close to the best little sandwhich type of shop I've ever eaten at. The filling was good but the kaiser roll was stale. This basically ruined the sandwich. Service was very slow. I don't usually notice slow service when I am with friends because I'm enjoying myself.
