That said, the biggest issue is availability. It feels like the focus is more on bringing patients in than actually accommodating them once they're clients. There's very little flexibility with scheduling, and getting an appointment after school (3-5 PM) is nearly impossible. Missing school regularly just isn't a realistic option for most families. If they could improve access and scheduling flexibility, this would be a much stronger experience overall.

I had booked the appointment for a tech to make a new mold to replace my broken retainer. Unexpectedly, Dr Curtis cheerfully involved himself in the process and offered two completely different approaches to my retainer. This started affecting me during my deployment to Iraq which continually got worse until the end of my deployment. The V.A. refused to give me any more treatment other than a night guard which was not very effective especially during the day. Dr. Crow helped me get the paperwork I needed to fight the V.A., and get me the treatment I need to help correct the condition which was related to the new helmet issued for combat. I am now one of the first people in over a decade to get orthodontic care through V.A... Dr. Crow has gone to all extremes to make sure I get the care I deserve as a veteran and an individual. The customer service I have gotten from his secretary and assistant far supersedes that of anything I could have ever imagined.

Both my son and I did not get a retainer. Their new retainer machine at Dr Chafees office did not…read morework. The young girls working there are not qualified and deny being trained for that machine. Each of them said "It never works". Both my son and I did not get our completion of therapy. We were supposed to get our pictures of before and after our treatment to see if we were satisfied with the results. Jill the office manager is hostile and bullied my son and I. It was very uncomfortable to come there. Dr Chaffee hires very young inexperienced girls to work for him so he doesn't have to pay them very much. We paid for QUALIFIED orthodontic techs. Many times we left with broken brackets and needed to return again to have them replaced. Very incompetent staff. I've brought our concerns to Dr Chaffee many times. He sent us a letter saying we were no longer welcome in his office breaching our contract. I do not have a proper fitting retainer and the result of that are really spaced out front teeth worse than I started with. My son did not get a proper fitting retainer either. I had to pay our dentist $150 for his retainer. I'm paying over $850 to get composites to fill in the gaps that were created from not having a retainer. I want a refund for our braces or retainers from another facility.

A reputable dentist in the area recommended Dr. Chafee and after reading Google reviews, I was convinced. I am very anti "Disneyland" orthodontists. I think the focus should be on the TREATMENT and TEETH, not spinning a prize wheel and jacking up orthodontia prices to cover the unnecessary extras. So when I saw the warm and inviting, yet still PROFESSIONAL atmosphere/direction that Dr. Chafee and his staff provide, I was sold (they do still have video games, so don't worry, kids!) :) The staff is awesome - very friendly and accommodating. Dr. Chafee is friendly and incredibly knowledgable. The before and after photos and impressions on display in the office are incredible. He took over my daughter's treatment, has worked with me on a few issues (IE I didn't want to pull two of her baby teeth because I'm cheap, so he worked around it) and he even noted some receding gum line that our previous orthodontist didn't notice. He took measurements and certain angles of pictures of the mouth that our previous orthodontist didn't take, either. Very interesting. Anyway, she is currently still in her phase 1 braces and her teeth are shaping up very nicely! Other than being sore after adjustments, she is very comfortable with the staff, doctor and office visits! My son was ready for phase 2 (final) braces and I was so impressed by Dr. Chafee's competency with my daughter and during my son's consultation that we didn't think twice about treatment with him. They filled his mouth with metal yesterday ;) and Dr. Chafee made sure I had his home and cell phone numbers if there was any emergency during after hours or weekends. That is above and beyond in my book. Hands down we recommend Dr. Chafee and his staff for outstanding orthodontia care and results!

After our consult, He said he would do an…read moreextraction on a molar that was giving me a lot of pain from infection and he would fill a couple of cavities, but not until our next visit in a week or 2. For all the rest of the work needing to be done he gave me a referral to an oral surgeon and another referral to a Denture Clinic. I did some research on the places i was referred to and I did not feel comfortable going to the oral surgeon based on the negative reviews about that business. So when I contacted Dr mosby's office again to let them know that I was going to be seeing a different oral surgeon but I would like to still see Dr Mosby for the part that he said he was going to do, the office lady told me i couldn't be seen there because they didn't have time for me now. She told me they hadn't had a vacation for years and they all wanted to go on vacation. So I guess if you want to make your own decisions and find a different person that you didn't get referred to then they will make up excuses and just drop you and leave you hanging. I guess its good i saw their true colors now rather than later.
