Neil walked us through every step of the process and was incredibly responsive. As first-time homebuyers, there were lots of things we didn't understand and Neil took the time to explain things clearly. We felt confident we were getting the best rates, and had the best team working hard for us. For reference - it took us FOUR days to get our loan "cleared to close" from the day our offer was accepted. We had a 14-day escrow period, and our loan was ready to close well in advance. That was an incredible feat by the Community First Mortgage team, and took a ton of pressure off of us with such an aggressive escrow timeline. Lastly, Neil also recommended our real estate agent, who was another incredible addition to our team. The folks at Community First Mortgage have a five star rating for a reason, we could not have been happier with the service we received and look forward to working with them next time we are in need of mortgage brokerage services.

They did not process my payments correctly as many thousands of other people have had the same problem and then they sent me paperwork telling me they didn't receive the payment when it was paid out of my account which I've owned for 16 years as 100% owner and S corporation. they miss reported errors on my and I have no hire a lawyer and go after them. as a lender, and unfortunately a stuck with I would never recommend them to anybody. there are many companies out there with much better interest rates than them. yelp 1.2 stars, trust pilot 2.4 stars, consumer affairs 1.6 stars, this company cares about is getting their money and they never notify you by phone or by email or any other way. Every creditor no matter who they are has to notify a consumer if they didn't receive a payment or call the consumer and say Mr. or Mrs. we never received your you please make sure it goes through but I never heard anything all I got was threatening letters and problems with . avoid this company at all it's not just processing payment errors. It's credit reporting and many other of dealt with this company in the past. I am going to file a complaint with the CFPB, and I urge everybody here that's reading this to also file a complaint with the CFPB to have this company investigated.

I had two instances where they: #1 - quoted the deal and proposed a term sheet #2 - completed a cumbersome due diligence and scheduled a closing date #3 - rejected the loan the day before closing One loan was for $700,000 or 50% LTV The other loan was for $4mm or 40% LTV How do these guys screw up low leverage deals when the DSCR is well over 1.5? A completely incompetent and dishonest group. A guy named Mike M was such a lazy dude from California who screwed up everything he did for me. tell you one thing... change it to something else with just made up reasons. It's the most unprofessional lender around besides the Hard Money and MCA thieves in NYC.... but not too far from that. F Velocity!!!!

He was the most condescending a**hole I have ever met who cared nothing about my needs or happiness with his services. He seriously could not have been more obnoxious every time we spoke. But most importantly, my number one complaint is that he failed to follow the purchase contract and decided to commit me to a $35,000 higher down payment than I laid out in my offer on the house. By the time I realized what he did, he had already moved forward with the underwriting process with the additional money due from me and it was too late... I either had to cough up the extra money or lose the loan, start the process over, and get a higher interest rate. When he knew I was unhappy he didn't even say sorry. He defended what he did and tried to tell me it was in my best interest. He took advantage of the unique, weakened position I was in at the time to do what was best for himself. And, before the loan had even funded and I was in the house, he sold the the loan to double dip on the commission, which required a second job verification that almost couldn't have been obtained and he tried to threaten me that I could lose my house if I didn't call my employer that I've been on a medical leave from to pressure me to get the boss to verify a second time. Stay away far far away from this guy if you want a smooth, pleasant loan process. Especially if you're a woman. He could not have been more rude, condescending, and impatient every time we spoke. I seriously would tell my realtor to call him on my behalf when something was needed because he was so disgusting to speak to. If I could have changed lenders mid way through I would have but because of my medical leave situation it was complicated and I stayed with him. Please do yourself a favor and avoid him, Teresa Moreno, and Option Funding at all costs. He is a slimy POS that will put his own interests before your own every step of the way. Steve and his team never gave up to successfully secure a loan for us. They did not just do the minimum required, they went above and beyond. Each step in the very complicated loan process (for us as first time borrowers) was followed up via emails and phone calls. When the first and second options fell through, he swiftly went on to option three. Giving up was not in Steve's vocabulary. It was not discussed, not once. When we had questions, it was never too early or too late to contact Steve. He would pick up the phone and take his time to explain everything. If he did not have the answer at his fingertips from 30+ years of experience, he was honest, found the answer and called us back. We had some credit score issues but my income and debt to income were solid. I went from one broker to another who said they could get it done for me only to end up wasting time and money. Most of these guys use the same system and the mortgage business has reduced all of us borrowers to just numbers. They put your FICO score into the system and it's either a yes or a no. There is no expertise to this industry it seems. I came across Great American and Steve and he seemed to have a different approach. I presented my situation to him and after some analysis he stated he could get it done. Fortunately, 5 weeks later I have a closed loan through Great American. I am sure it takes years of experience and due diligence making the connections to be successful in this business and Steve has certainly done that. I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to get a mortgage loan. The representatives on the other side seem like they have no knowledge or experience with loans, or what's going on. They can't even transfer me to the right department. The second represnetive transferred me back to himself, haha. This place seems like a joke. disappointing to know they hold my HOME loan.
