Another shout-out to Peachtree Computers. My iPhone 6 battery wasn't holding its charge three weeks after the warranty expired (of course!). When I called and they confirmed they had a new battery in stock, I told them I'm highly susceptible to the coronavirus so they'd have to pick it up from my car trunk once I was in front of the store. Matthew created the ticket, and Chandler, masked, came to get the phone. He said it would be ready in an hour. I returned in an hour, and he put the phone back into the trunk after cleaning it with a disinfectant wipe. I paid the invoice via an online bill, so the whole repair was accomplished speedily and safely. I cannot be more pleased with the service this company has given me over the years. Look no further for a computer/cell phone repair shop. The staff and service here are SIMPLY THE BEST around. In the last 2 years they've repaired my older iPhone twice (replacing my screen protector at no charge after the last repair), wiped & recycled for free my favorite hard drive/laptop (a great Samsung that would've cost more to repair than I wanted to spend), and done a fresh install of WIN 10 Home for about $80 on my Lenovo Thinkpad after its WIN 7 recovery disc crashed it. I've spoken/dealt mostly with Matt and John, but all staff are competent, polite, and can easily step in for another tech. They'll make cost efficient recommendations for purchasing items or services elsewhere that they don't provide. Their prices are very reasonable, better than any competitor I've ever checked. Communication - via phone, email, text - is quick and easy. And they have on hand a small inventory of new accessories and peripherals - and also of very well priced, well configured second hand laptops (both Microsoft and Mac), desktops, monitors, and other items, depending on current inventory. The estimates I've been given of time needed to complete a job have always been longer than the work actually took. {Since they're located next to a Dunkin Donuts shop, I'd decided to wait in there for an estimated 45 minute repair this past February. I had just finished my hot chocolate & pastry when I got the text that my repair was completed, probably about 30 minutes later. THAT's impressive.} And in this crazy COVID year of 2020, they've remained open for business by thinking creatively & enforcing good safety measures. They physically rearranged the formerly "walk around" layout of the shop, moving display cases, counters, and displayed inventory to create a small, customer-and-counter only area just inside the shop's entrance. Now only 2 masked customers are allowed in the shop at a time, several hand sanitizer bottles are always on the counter, gloved staff wipes down the counter and card reader between customers, and social distancing is maintained at all times between customers and staff in the store. There are probably at least a 2 dozen cell phone/electronics repair facilities between my place and the Peachtree Computers shop. But I drive 20-25+ minutes to go there - and would gladly drive twice that far - because I know I can't get better prices or better service anywhere else. But the peace of mind I get from taking my business there is literally priceless nowadays. This is a small business you can feel great about supporting in the uncertain future we're all facing now, especially since our electronic devices are going to be so critical to interpersonal communications in the future. read more

Recently, my wifes computer was damaged. She first took it to Best Buy as that is where she bought it. They wanted the computer for 2 weeks just to analyze the problem and it was going to cost $99 for some basic transfer of work related work files. She decided to look around and found Peachtree computers. They analyzed it, fixed it in a half day. They also identified a major problem with her battery where it was about to explode. They did all of this work for less than $200 and the computer works great. Also, you can buy used corporate quality computers that have been rebuilt for around $200. One last thing, it is located right next to Dunkin Donuts so you can grab a donut and coffee as you wait. read more

My iPhone 6s Lightning port would not correctly hold my charging cable when I inserted it. As a result, my phone would not charge unless I jiggled the wire around...and then it would often jiggle loose, and fail to charge after I walked away. I hadn't dropped or dinged the phone, and I couldn't see any obvious damage to, or obstructions in, the port. And, I had also tried the port with several different wires, to be sure it wasn't my wire's connector that was damaged, yielding the the same result. So, I took my phone into Peachtree Computers this morning. Justin was my technician. I explained my problems, then left my phone with them and went home. Justin found that there was indeed lint caught deep in the Lightning port that was causing the connection problem, and he was able to remove it. He then thoroughly tested all the functionality of my phone to assure everything was in good working order. They also updated the iOS release on my phone while they had it. They had it back to me in about an hour. Cable connects properly once again. Nice, competent people here, and a fair price for their work. read more

This business post on craigslist Atlanta to sell their equipment. But instead of following the regulations and posting as a business, they post under "computers by owner" and "Computers by dealer" And to continue this misleading way of doing business, they post the same ad under three different locations. And then re-post the same ad over and over again each day. This makes it nearly impossible to search under the computers category and find anything other than Peachtree computer. They may have good machines. And they may sell at a fair price. But I would never consider doing business with a company that is this conniving and misleading to the consumer. It's just poor business practices and bordering on unethical business behavior. read more

I took my wife's ailing iMac to Peachtree Software to see what could be done for it. Thought the hard drive was going, but got the sad news that it wasn't just the hard drive, the computer was beyond repair. Came out a few days later to pick it up and pay for the work they had done. I figured I owed them for their tech's time. They refused to charge me anything. They were there to fix that computer, and if they couldn't, no charge. Now, that's honesty. If they had been able to fix the computer, they would have happily done so, and charged me. But they couldn't, so no charge. I'll be back when we've got funds to buy a new computer. (Those iMacs are beautiful machines, and not cheap ones!) read more

The service here was fantastic! I was having issues with my Macbook Pro and since Apple stores are closed right now due to Coronavirus, I called Apple support for hours trying to fix it. After a couple of days of frustration, I decided to take it to have someone look at it. I searched computer stores in Atlanta and decided to give Peachtree a try! I am sometimes a little skeptical of anyone other than Apple working on my computer but the guys at Peachtree were awesome. They were super helpful and provided great customer service! Just had the most pleasant experience with Peachtree Computers...I got to work today, and my windows 7 laptop would not log on to windows. Basically wouldn't boot up. So I went to yelp to find a highly rated repair shop in my area. I dropped my computer off here around 11, and waited for the bad news. About 2 hours later they had diagnosed the problem, and said they could have it fixed in a snap. By 330 pm, I was picking up my computer, and for a very reasonable price. From the initial phone contact and explanation of services to pickup of my laptop, the professionalism, service, quality of personnel and overall satisfaction (including the price I paid and the value I received) couldn't be better. I left my laptop (nearly for dead) and discovered that these guys could fix anything! Seriously, while my data was backed up, I didn't have much hope for the operating system, services, connectivity and other essentials on the machine. But they called, said it was fixed, and they "just had to do it" to tackle the challenge. Initially I made the mistake of bringing my laptop to Geek Squad at Best Buy I was quoted $650 by a creepy call rep there and they had no clue what needed to be repaired. He was even pushing for me to approve the repairs without knowing what needed to be fixed. I had to wait 2-3 days for someone to get back to me with a real estimate. Needless to say I refused the repairs at Best Buy. Took my laptop to Peachtree Computers after finding good reviews online. This is the place you want to take your computer when you need help with it. I had a bad hard drive - no big deal, right? But it was part of a RAID pair and I did not have a recent backup of my data, so I took it to Peachtree Computers for data recovery. They quoted me a very fair fixed price and, even though I turned out to be very challenging, completely stuck to it. I mentioned that the PC had a few other issues and they diagnosed a faulty motherboard and gave me some options. Bottom line, I came home with a fully functional computer with all of my data intact for WAY less than I expected to pay. I bookmarked Peachtree computers a long time ago and I am so glad I did. Here's my story: I got a new position that allows for a home office. I had been researching docking systems and monitors that could be used with my company laptop. On a weeknight, right before closing, they hooked me up quick! I had intentions of spending $20-$30 less on a monitor but I got a great deal. I explained what I wanted to do, my space, etc. Basically to make a long story short I didn't need a docking system after all!! Professional, quick, easy and painless. I ended up with a liquid damaged macbook pro that wouldn't even boot up. Took it to Apple genius and they offered me a flat rate to replace everything inside as its beyond repair. There were corroded parts. Now What could be worse if that's your work laptop ?! I cried literally returning home as i am answerable to someone else, its not my personal laptop beyond all lost my work too with backup image of 2 months old. Apple repair center do not handle data recovery and suggested me to find someone outside who could do that for me. Found few places and rang them up to get a quote, man its beyond what i could afford. I might as well just run the image from 2 months old put some extra days of effort to rebuild my stuff than pay the enormous amount. There after i thought to try some local place and then found this one read reviews after all i am leaving my laptop i needed to be assured, not any scary reviews. So decided to take a chance, the only chance may be in the given little time i had. Dropped off my laptop, 3 days no good news, called once a day everyday hoping for a miracle. Day four i get a call with the miracle news. I was super delighted jumped out of my seat. The entire data was recovered and copied into a external hard drive (i purchased drive from them, why not a little more business when you are super happy) exactly in the way it appears when i boot up my mac. I checked for the data at the store itself and also checked my laptop and was assured everything is back in place and screwed up right. It costed me 10 times lesser than the quotes i got online and with 100% accuracy. What more do i want ?! I offered to charge a little more towards gratuity on my card but the team refused said they are more than happy to see a happy customer. Where else could you find such nice and efficient people. Unfortunate, can in NO way recommend this company. Bought two Toshibas for work and had to return each due to faulty USBs and one with malfunctioning keys. Exchanged for two ThinkPad's, their representative ensured each had a HDMI plug in, working keys, USBs, WiFi and Bluetooth and the rep assured us they would verify all aspects of each desktop is working properly before handing to us. We even invested in solid states to optimize our working capabilities. We even got $70 back, nice. Had to wait a week for the refund, but I trusted them. We told the rep, we were willing to get a newer model if we needed for all the specs we wanted but the rep told us we will not notice any difference in performance the model is only a year or two older, since everything is working it want be an issue. So I choose the T420s for traveling with lighter weight. Their rep did NOT make sure everything was working before handing us non-fully functioning products. NO HDMI, had to buy an adapter $20. Since its my work computer, it has been plugged into the extra screens on the office desk. Kids where home for summer so I decided to work in the kitchen during breakfast and use my desktop to play music...OH NO, the Bluetooth does not work! Looked up the Bluetooth in my ThinkPad and it is NOT installed. Peachtree Computers said its past their 90 days but they will look at it. Took it in and their response was - BUY a Bluetooth adapter $16. Absolutely not, it has the Bluetooth icon on the screen and Intel Bluetooth software, you told me this was working, otherwise I would have bought one with a working Bluetooth and newer model and still got some money back. They then agreed to open the ThinkPad to see what is going on. It has everything for Bluetooth but the model would not except newer hard drives. Their ultimate response was "Sorry". "If it was within the 90 days, they would jump thru any hoops to make it work. Since it is not, they want do anything more." The only work around was buy ANOTHER adapter. Worse part is, we told them we would rather buy up to ensure we get all the aspects we wanted if there was anything not working and would have invested in upgrading that ThinkPad able to last for more years with replaceable hardware parts / capabilities. They then told me this is a great machine. Now, "Sorry" which means we live with their mistake; not them. Avoid, there are other computer stores in the Atlanta area. Four laptops bought, THREE that do not work full capacity. Two had to be returned. Do you do business with someone that gives you three bad products out of four? They do a good job at repairs! Do not rely on their reps being forthcoming on specs, diligent to hand you fully operational products or fixing their mistakes. Its on you to ensure they gave you what you purchased, they don't operate in a manner to ensure they hand you what you purchased. read more
