My iPhone X stopped recognizing my sim card and I was completely at a loss. I work from home for myself so my phone is my lifeline. After trying everything I found online to fix the issue, I took it into the At&t store. Even with a new sim installed it still was not registering the card. While I was Canada this summer, I had an issue with my laptop and called an 800 number I found on the Internet instead of just calling my favorite computer fixers, Peachtree Computers. The off-shore 800 company's recommendation? Let them change my password and then order a new computer from them. YIkes...still getting calls from them wanting to "fix" my computer! They repaired a broken screen on a Mac Book Air. I had taken the computer to Best Buy, where it was exceedingly difficult to reach the store and to schedule an appointment which included talking to a call center in India. The associate in store did a quick visual inspection without hooking it up to another monitor and said it was cheaper to replace it, unless I agreed to send it to Apple, with no guarantees of repair costs, also charges for performing a backup could run as high as 150. He said quoted a screen repair charge of 300, minimum and 10 days turnaround, which was the same for the Apple Store. He then showed me a new Mackbook Air. By comparison, Peachtree answered the phone. I dropped it off same day and later that day received a quote of 278 for the screen plus 80 for service fee. Note that they don't use Apple parts, but technically this screen was identical, with the Apple logo still retained on the case. There was some confusion over authorization and a working password but it works as before. Would use them again. read more

Right away I noticed how friendly these guys were; they're not these angry-at-the-world computer dudes hanging out behind a monitor. They're warm and willing to help and come across like they're happy to see you. My husband's laptop got hit with a virus Friday afternoon.
