I highly recommend Peachtree Computers for their conscientious commitment to good customer service and for providing solid value in the business of desktop PC and laptop problem diagnosis and repair. A little over five months ago, in September 2012, my 2005 desktop (with Windows XP) started developing Windows registry errors, internet browsing and other problems, which sometimes resulted in crashes or freezes. My Norton Anti-virus software was not able to find and clean the mal-ware, viruses etc. I un-installed Google Chrome and Norton helped me to install an updated version of their product. The problems got worse and eventually Windows would crash in both safe and regular start-up modes. Norton and other vendors had quoted fees of $120 and above for virus removal and remote computer repair, but this was no longer an option, as I could not even get the computer to boot up. Staples quoted a high non-refundable fee just for doing an in-store diagnosis. Unfortunately, I had misplaced the original Windows CDs that came with my PC, so was not able to do a "clean re-install" without buying or borrowing someone else's CDs. Peachtree provided a free diagnosis and then did a backup/clean re-install with their own OEM CDs, but it took two attempts to get it right. I had to take it in twice as I was seeing some of the same problems after the first re-install and after I re-installed my modem and printer software. But after the second fix and continuing to the present, over five months later, my PC has been working "like new." This may be due mainly to their replacing Norton with Microsoft Security Essentials combined with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. I must say that I am very happy to have a "new" PC that works better than ever for a fee of only $79.00. About a month later, in October 2012, I had an issue with my 2008 laptop in that it stopped powering up. I took it in to Peachtree and they quickly concluded that what was needed was a new power supply/electric cord. This place is the real deal! My phone suddenly stopped receiving a cellular network connection. AT&T insisted it was a hardware issue, and Apple insisted it was a SIM card issue. Finally, Apple admitted it was hardware, but gave me no option for repair (I was 4 months out of limited warranty, but still 8 months from an upgrade). So, $299 for a refurbished phone if I wanted my problem to go away. So, on the advice of a friend, I finally took the phone to Peachtree Computers. I admit that I was skeptical, because I have not always received careful, quality work from little places like this. However, not only did the staff at Peachtree immediately explain their guess that the source of the problem was a loose antennae component (which is more than multiple staffers and managers at AT&T or Apple would/could do), but they were also able to repair the problem in a matter of hours! So, after 3 weeks of back-and-forth with AT&T and Apple, Peachtree solved my issue in only 3 hours of work! The best part: the cost of repair ($49) was a fraction of the cost I have received for other iPhone work from Apple, Simply Mac, and Lifeline. I hope I don't have to visit Peachtree Computers often, but I'm glad to have found a trustworthy place that quickly and professionally repairs devices. Just recently I experienced a serious & frustrating problem with my laptop running very slow, which I had purchased new, just a year ago from a big-box store. I had an excellent experience with Peachtree Computers (PC) three yrs ago when my desktop totally crashed--it was several yrs old, purchased from a big-box. PC was able to recover nearly all my data off the crashed computer & successfully transferred to a new desktop. So I had no hesitation when I took my laptop to PC last week for service. Alex did an outstanding job in effectively diagnosing the problems with the laptop and he gave me the time I needed for him to address my questions. He explained the various considerations & my options in a very friendly & informative manner. Alex installed the needed hardware to fix the problem with the laptop and updated various software. He also performed a few software enhancements. Peachtree Computers' (PC) prices for all the work Alex performed were very reasonable and the diagnostic work was FREE. I took the laptop in late afternoon and it was ready the next day. Alex & all these guys at PC do Great work and are trustworthy & provide a very positive customer experience. Everybody has computers and smartphones, and everybody has problems with them. This place is an excellent choice for taking care of those problems. My first visit was to replace the hard drive in my computer. I had planned to just add more storage space, but after talking on the phone with one of the employees he said they had a hard drive promotion. Long story short I got a bigger AND faster hard drive for LESS than I was expecting to pay just to add more space, win win. Next visit I needed to fix my iPhone 6+ because the touch screen was glitching so badly that I could barely use it. I came in and talked to Justin who played with it for a couple seconds handed it back to me and said "go to the Apple Store" I asked him a couple questions and he explained that my phone's problem is known and apple would replace it with a new 6s +. So I went straight to the Apple Store and about and hour later I had not only a working phone but also a BRAND NEW UPGRADED iPHONE!!! (I did have to pay the cost of a screen replacement though) Pretty sweet considering p'tree computers didn't get a dime from me in this instance. However, if I need anything in the future they will be my first choice. read more

Over the last several years, we've purchased multiple used MacBooks from Peachtree Computers for our office. Their customer service on the sales end has always been excellent but the best way to tell the integrity of a company is customer service when there's a problem. The latest machine we purchased from them sat on a shelf in the office for almost 2 weeks before we had a chance to put it into service at which time we discovered the keyboard was sticky as if something had spilled on it at some point in it's lifetime. When we took it back to them, we (understandably) had difficulty assuring Peachtree Computers that the machine was originally sold to us that way. After a bit of back-and-forth, they agreed to replace the keyboard and took care of the situation. Although I would've preferred less hassle in resolving the problem, at the end of the day they proved their integrity is just as solid on the back end of a sale as it is on the front end. read more

Ok, so I had to download the Yelp app in order to leave a review, but it's worth it to load, then uninstall the app, as long as I can state how much I love this shop. They are extremely professional, yet very friendly and accessible, never making us customers feel like dumb-asses. They are GODS when it comes to knowing computers and being able to fix them. But the true genius (for us) is that they are absurdly reasonable in pricing!! I kinda' wanted to add a bit extra in payment, since they performed some tasks gratis, but my husband picked the laptop up. I'm an outside sales professional who works, lives and breathes from my laptop. Literally - my laptop is my livelihood! My hard-drive crashed about a week ago, or so I learned after they did a FREE diagnostic, the day before I went on vacation. While I was away in Miami (freaking out while I'm supposed to be relaxing), Phil at Peachtree Computers replaced my hard-drive and 'imaged it' to get all of my data, contacts, pics and more off the one that crashed! After getting raked over the coals by Best Buy Geek Squad, I brought my laptop in to diagnose the issue. Best Buy told me it would cost $320 to fix my less-than 2 year old touch-screen laptop (it wouldn't maintain a charge), and Aaron at Peachtree Computers ran a full diagnostic and told me the only thing wrong was my charging cord wasn't strong enough to charge my laptop. Turns out I had accidentally switched charging cords with my son's laptop and it wasn't the correct wattage to sufficiently charge my more powerful computer. Brought the correct cord into the store, they checked it and it worked perfectly! Refused to accept a dime for their time - absolutely awesome!!! Excellent customer service at Peachtree Computers! I brought in a new laptop to have the info on my old laptop migrated over. After spending a lot of time on the new machine, they came to find out it was faulty. They actually fixed my old one for free so I could have it to do work until I worked out my problems with the new laptop. It wasn't their fault the new one did not work, but yet they spent many hours/days trying to figure out the issue. I went back with yet another new laptop to have them do the migration and they all very friendly and wanted to make sure I received great care. These guys know what they are doing. I walked in and everyone was nice and said hello. (Felt like going into Waffle House, haha!) Explained how my lap top freaked out and needed some help. They were very patient and called me within an hour with a diagnosis (dreaded malware) and estimate of $49 to clean it up. I couldn't believe it, great price and great service. Because they were closing, they explained it would be ready the next day. When I picked it up, Drew explained he had done the work and cleaned up my computer so that it would run faster. He even put a folder on the desktop that he recommended I use once a month to scan for malware. SO HAPPY! They did a great job, super fast, friendly and thorough! Really appreciate it! read more

Our internet router was giving us problems & needed to be replaced & set-up. After searching for a service provider I selected Peachtree Computers to address our router problems. The rep who was selected to assist us was an extremely cordial person named Tyler. He spent approximately one hour for replacing our bad router, making optimal changes to the router's interface and answering numerous questions regarding using it. The total cost including a new router was very, very fair considering its performance and Tyler's people skills. I took my daughters computer to 3 different places with a chardger issue. All said it would be a minimum of 7-10 days and it would be around $120. With her leaving for school next week we did not have the time. I walked in to Peachtree Computers today and in less than 10 minutes they identified that it was not the charging port as everyone keep telling us, but the charger its self was bad and we only needed to purchase a DELL charger. My Toshiba laptop started malfunctioning. I phoned Peachtree computers and spoke to Anna who was very pleasant and informative. I was pleased to hear that the shop would undertake a diagnosis of the problem for free. Later I took over the laptop; Joey courteously and efficiently checked it in. Within a few days Alex undertook the diagnosis and informed me of the results and my options. We discussed what to do and he proceeded. When I returned to pick it up he gave me further details about the situation and answered my questions. Anna took my payment which for the work was quite reasonable. Had a hard-drive issue. Looked for local (Roswell) area repair shop. Called Peachtree and brought in my computer. prompt, courteous, and friendly when entering facility. Explained that they would do a free diagnostic and provide results in 24 hours - called back later the same day. Explained hard drive was the issue which they did not repair due to specialty of work. Picked up computer - no charge and they provided two referrals that could possibly recovery hard drive data. They recommended Data Savers (which I took my hard drive to and they are as great as Peachtree). If any of my computers require future repairs/service, I will only go to Peachtree. read more

Coming back from a week at the beach, my Lenovo Yoga screen would not come on. I just figured it wanted to stay longer. I call Lenovo and the big box store I purchase the Yoga18 months ago. I was told I would have to ship in in for repairs and there would be a $35 fee to see what the problem and it would be about three weeks before I got it back. I researched the internet and Peachtree Computer came up with some high rating from other customers. I dropped it off there about 10:30 AM and got a call at 12:30, the unit had been fixed and the bill was $19!!! A connection had come loose inside the unit. I have had half a dozen visits to this store over the last 2 to 3 years. When I needed new equipment they sold me what was needed not trying to move me into the most expensive offerings they had....in fact they talked me out of spending more. I have also had some issues with my computers over the last couple years. One was an easy fix. The other very challenging. They are problem solvers that got me back up and running quickly at what I think was a very very reasonable cost. I was looking at 3-5 weeks without my work laptop, having to send it in for repairs with geeksquad and who knows how much for a broken screen. they recommended me to Peachtree computers. I brought my computer in and within 2 hours my computer (which I was prepared to be without for potentially weeks) was fixed and replaced with an even better screen than the original.
