I had such a good experience with Sabre! I had never heard of Peacock Hair Studio but bought a Groupon for a cut and full highlights. It is a little hard to find because she is located in a suite within a building full of studios which had me a little skeptical at first but everything was great. My hair is extremely thick, heavy and long (down to my lower back), so I am VERY picky about haircuts but Sabre did a fabulous job- did exactly what I asked and also took the initiative to let me know what would look best on me. You really do get a salon quality experience in a one-on-one atmosphere. I've visited larger salons where I had three different people working on my hair (one washed my hair, another did highlights and then passed me off to a different stylist to cut), but that is not the case here, Sabre does everything herself. She is also extremely nice and you can tell that she genuinely LOVES her job and has a good time doing it. My only regret in this process is not having cash on me to tip her with! I moved here from California and went through 5 hairstylist looking for someone who would give me what I wanted. Sabre discussed a myriad of transformations for my hair and went through tons of pictures with me and has helped make my vision a reality. The last stylist bleached my hair. I had always wanted to try it, but it just wasn't for me. Sabre tastefully explained to me that bleach blonde hair wasn't the most flattering color for me. So, the next step was figuring out how to get back to at least a semblance of my natural, extremely ashy blonde hair. Sabre got me in that day for an "emergency" color correction, which was so sweet and accommodating. She stayed late and blended up her own color recipe. The color turned out beautiful!!! It so surpassed my expectations after being told by many how difficult it is to achieve my specific color. Sabre is an artist! She is a genius with color and my cut is awesome. I had an excellent experience getting my hair cut by Sabre. I'm one of those people that usually needs Xanax before someone approaches my hair with scissors. Not at Peacock Hair Studio. I felt that I was in very capable hands. Sabre listened to me and discussed how she would cut my hair before ever picking up the scissors. My hair was a wild mess because it was razored by a previous hair stylist and it never recovered from that. Sabre worked magic and really found a way to fix my crazy layers while keeping my length! I have had three different stylist attempt the Ombre' hair color on my hair and none of them came out right, Sabre talked to me in length about what I had on my hair, what I wanted, and what she could achieve. I decided to let her do my color and when she was done I was almost in tears of joy, do to how gorgeous my hair was. It was a REAL Ombre' and I felt like a Hollywood star. Best haircut and color I've ever had. I've had several unsatisfactory cuts and color the past few visits to a salon. Sabre asked me lots of questions about what I wanted and didn't want so we would be on the same page. I loved it when I left the salon but I wanted to wait and see what it looked like when I styled it myself and I have to admit it's just as pretty when I styled it myself. My color looks natural and not the usual brassy that I get from most places. Sabre gave me a few tips on how to style it myself, it came out looking AWESOME! I can't speak for everyone else but as for me a great hairstyle is when it looks fabulous when you are able to style it at home. She also has a vibrant, engaging personality which made me feel right at home, like we had known each other for a long time.I really enjoyed my visit and will definitely be going back again. After reading 20 excellent reviews I decided to give Peacock Hair Studio a chance. Best haircut of my life! I went from medium- long hair to a very short cut. It is perfect. I showed her lots of pictures and we talked about the cut and what would look good and she got it right on! She is really sweet and easy to have a conversation with, which makes it much more pleasant to get a hair cut. In addition, she is not snotty or pretentious at all. I find most of the places in Houston to be that way, which always makes me feel awkward and like they really don't care if I like my hair cut. Sabre is a normal, sweet person who knows how to cut hair! If you want an awesome haircut, this is the place. Sabre also did my hair for my wedding. I wanted something soft and sensual with half up and half down, she NAILED it! I couldn't be happier and everyone at my wedding gave my hair rave reviews. Sabre did an excellent job on both my highlights and cut! The Groupon brought me here, but I will definitely be going back. She was not only very friendly and down to earth, but she was professional and I could tell she knew what she was doing. I don't have the easiest hair to work with (very thick, semi-wavy, cowlick in my bangs area, and I came in with terrible roots because I hadn't had highlights in awhile). I walked out of there look like a different person and received so many compliments! I brought in a picture of celebrity, Blake Lively, and definitely got that beautiful golden blonde color. The cut was amazing too...nice face framing layers and side swept bangs, which are so hard to get how I want them, but Sabre made them look fabulous! I found Sabre on Groupon, and I am so glad I found her! I made my appointment and when I called to confirm that same day, she took me in earlier due to someone else rescheduling their appointment. The minute I walked into her salon, I could tell she was going to do an amazing job on my hair, and I was right - she gave me all over highlights and cleaned up a bad hair cut I had a few weeks before. She really knows how to work with long hair and gave me exactly what I wanted. I will be going back for sure, when it is time for a touch up. My best friend and I have been seeing Sabre for over a year now, and we LOVE the work that she does. She has done everything from a cut to color to just a basic trim with us. She also did an ombré coloring on is, and it came out AMAZING! She is very helpful in creating a style that fits the individuals features, and if there is any concern you have, she is more than open to hearing it. I recently got my bangs cut and after a few days, I wanted to do some more trimming on them. She was able to squeeze me in the next day and trimmed up my bangs free of charge. I recently moved out of town, but I still make the hour commute to have her cut/trim my hair. I would recommend her to anyone! read more

Got my haircut here today, and she did a great job! I was charged exactly the same amount as on her website, so prices are as transparent as they get. I was also asked a few times a long the way if I liked the style or wanted to try something else. Basically, my experience was certainly not anything like the very few negative reviews here. One thing I will mention that I think really separates this place from the rest, is interesting conversation. You don't have to worry about being bored talking about things like "what are you going to do this weekend?" or "what did you do last weekend?" I called for an appointment in response to a Groupon deal for ombré. I wasn't sure if ombré was doable because my hair was already heavily highlighted with not much new growth. So I wanted her opinion and she explained touching up my highlights would be best and darkening some of my lowlights. My previous highlights were way to orange and made my hair look very unhealthy and dry. The colors she chose complemented my complexion and made my hair look healthier and thick. That's not all. I had a picture of a cut in my mind but couldn't quite put it in the right words. But she cut it exactly like I imagined. I was very pleased with my first visit and I'll be back!!! read more

I came into this salon in tears from what a previous stylist had done to my hair, Sabre took the time first to calm me down and let me know that my hair was fixable, she then sat down next to me and asked lots of questions not only about my hair history but about me in general. I am over the moon for my haircut from Sabre. I recently relocated from Austin and had terrible luck finding a stylist that could match my Austin gurus skills until I came across Sabre's stellar reviews! Went to peacock hair studios today! First of all the studio is so cute and CLEAN! Nothing bothers me more than walking into a dirty salon with hair everywhere.
