    Bedroom with two queen beds

This was our first time staying at this Wyndham resort. It is conveniently located near Disneyland. The unit was not very big due to its location and it didn't have a kitchen with a cooktop. There's a mini fridge and a microwave; and it also came with plates and silverware. Although the unit was somewhat small, it was still quite comfortable and nicely decorated. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The lobby staff is very friendly and they do try to make your stay more pleasant by doing extra little things like providing drinks and snacks and fruits. There's also a small pool and a couple of jacuzzi's. Valet parking is very well run and efficient. Overall it's a nice little resort.

We stayed here due to a presentation we were less then excited. However, the room we stayed in was nice. Nothing spectacular, but it had ok amenities. The room had a small living area with a couch, small dining table, tv and kitchenette. The bedroom was nice and a fairly good size bathroom. The bed was comfortable, the small refrigerator worked well. The staff was super friendly and helpful ( there are cookies in the reception area) . They have a pool and game area too. It was very close to Disney and convenient to the highway. Plenty of restaurants and stores too. The only thing I would say they need to work on is Cleaning nothing major but there was a layer of dust on the tops of the boards that were above the windows lamps were dusty little things like that they could use a good swiffer. All in all we had a very nice time there and would go back.

If you're in the Anaheim area and need a place to stay, there are a lot of choices. We picked the Peacock Suites because we have a timeshare. The property is nice, the rooms aren't huge but spacious enough to be comfortable. The parking is an issue - the valets park in odd places to fit everyone staying there. But they do successfully do so! Staff is nice enough, but expect to be asked to listen to one of their timeshare presentations. The place is clean. They don't service your room during your stay, but they will bring extra towels etc when you ask. They will also take the trash if you ask. Overall an okay place to stay.

I have never been in a hotel that has absolutely ZERO counter space in the bathroom! We have 4 people and not even one person can put their toothbrush down . I tried to move the huge containers of hand soap and body lotion to make more room and they are cemented down!! Very poorly planned. The 'kitchenette' area is nice. However, there is no sink! Have to go to the very poorly planned bathroom that has no counter space to fill the coffee pot and then, after using the dishes, there is no place to rinse so they can be used again!! We have 4 of every utensil, no extras, so we have to carry our dishes to the tiny bathroom sink to try and clean them. Our view out of our window is nasty. The pull out bed has the thinnest of mattresses. Every supporting cross bar can be felt through it. All that being said, the staff in the reception area is very kind and efficient. My gripe is with whomever designed these spaces. My suggestion to Wyndham and Shell is: Don't put any guests in this room and then expect them to come for an hour appointment for you to try to sell this timeshare. You'd be digging your own grave!

This place is always awesome. It's my moms time share, idk how it goes to actually reserve a room Without the timeshare. The front desk staff is always so nice and helpful. However disclaimer, there seems to be only one employee working valet who can park a stick shift. They have a pool and 2 hot tubs and a sun roof and area on the 4th floor with TVs and grills. It's 7 minutes driving distance from Disneyland and downtown Disney and 1 hour away from LEGOLAND (without traffic) it took us an hour 45 to get there because the last 15 miles took 50 minutes There's a recreation center behind the lobby with a pool table and foosball table. The beds are comfy and the staff makes sure you have everything you need.

The rooms are immaculate, and the entire property is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The grounds are gorgeous, the staff is consistently friendly and helpful, and every part of the hotel feels thoughtfully designed. One of my favorite things to do is simply relax in the lobby by the fireplace and listen to the piano player. The ambiance is incredible and makes it easy to slow down and enjoy the moment. The pools are beautiful, clean, and comfortably warm year-round. The waterslide is a lot of fun, and the pool area is a great place to relax after a long day in the parks. Craftsman Grill is another highlight. The food and drinks are consistently delicious, and I love trying the seasonal specialties whenever we visit. And if you only take one food recommendation from this review, make it the arugula pizza. It is SOOOOOOOOO good and something I look forward to every trip. Of course, one of the biggest perks is the location. Having a private entrance directly into California Adventure is incredibly convenient, and you're just a short walk from Disneyland as well. Being able to return to the hotel in the middle of the day to rest, enjoy the pool, grab a meal, or simply recharge before heading back into the parks is absolutely unbeatable. The Grand Californian perfectly captures the magic of staying in the Disney bubble. Once you're there, you never really have to leave the Disney experience, and that convenience adds so much to a vacation. Between the beautiful atmosphere, exceptional staff, immaculate rooms, fantastic dining, gorgeous pools, and unbeatable proximity to both parks, the Grand Californian remains one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. All that said...it is VERY expensive Sso its definitely a once in a while splurge.

My only criticism was that I would have preferred the sink being in the restroom with the toilet and shower rather than outside the sliding door.

The room we were promised was going to be overlooking DCA where we could watch world of color from our rooms. At 3:15 pm I still hadn't received a text so I walked over. It turned out a room never was never linked to our keys and the room we were promised was no longer available. We got one overlooking the parking lot instead. I thought they would have offered something for the mix up on their part but all I got was a "sorry ma'am". Such a major disappointment! The room itself- for the price - was really plain, we thought. But it was really clean and the best part was the direct access to the pool terrace! Our toddler had a great time at Dug's Dance Party! We were also just steps away from where we could watch the fireworks at night - so that was great! As for the not so great, the pool area was a big letdown. The actual pool was tiny for a hotel this size. It was packed and there were no chairs available either. There was a cute offering for toddlers called Nemo's cove, but again, really small and absolutely packed. And also located right by a slide that looked so much fun for our 3 year old who was repeatedly heartbroken we kept having to tell him he couldn't go down it, or play in the water at the bottom of it either. The splash pad was nothing like what I would have expected from Disney either, just a few sprinkler fountain type things. No wading area, or bucket that dumps, or water wheels, or anything else we have grown accustomed to seeing at places that cater to kids. This could really use upgrading and more chairs. Definitely wasn't the way we had wanted to spend the afternoon relaxing while he played and we had a drink or two, but it COULD have been, which makes it disappointing! And lastly - the elevator situation. Wow. Up until this visit, I had never in my life spent more time waiting for elevators. They were full, they were slow, there were lines...it was horrible trying to entertain a 3 year old who didn't understand what we were doing just standing there. And, let's be honest, no fun for the adults either! Definitely there needs to be more of them, and faster ones, for a hotel this size. The last two issues were more minor, but still worth considering: 1) no valet parking, and 2) the club lounge has soda but no bottled water, and they close at 8pm without access later for drinks. Summary: we are very glad we went and experienced it, but next time we will pick somewhere else to stay. This is the most money we have ever paid for a hotel, and we have stayed at VERY nice properties, so when you spend a certain amount of money there are just things you kind of expect from it and this wasn't quite there. We learned what you really are paying for, is the location!

The percentage of negative reviews is probably not a blip on the great scheme of things. People always writes reviews when something negative happens but when things go right majority of people dont. You go here and expect madness. Kids everywhere, crowds, etc. You want tranquil all to yourself feel and vibes, go vacation to a remote island somewhere. This is for the kids. Plenty of things to do. The water slides are enough to keep kids having fun for a while. For added fees there are other optional activities but seems more geared toward younger kids. so why 4 out of 5 stars? Because I've been to the one in northern california (manteca). This property seems older. More crowded, and just doesnt have the same lodge vibes. There simply isnt the same WOW factor as the Manteca location. There is no parking garage in Manteca but instead a vast land of parking spaces. So the Lodge just commands attention and shows you are about to enter something grand. Here they use a parking structure and although efficient it just doesnt give of same vibes. The "Grand Lobby" here is also just meh. The area and space seems so fragmented and doesnt have a good flow. The manteca location is structured so well. You walk in from the main entrance and you are really in a Grand Lobby with the towering fireplace. Here its off to the side and now filled with arcade games. That fireplace is usually the photo spot for families in Manteca. Here you really dont have that. People have said the waterpark itself is better here. If it is, I didn't notice it too much. It isn't that much better to really matter. The wave pool here definitely is stronger which is very cool. But the lazy river, and everything else seems on par. I believe they have an extra attraction with the surf/wake board simulator. So IMO, the Manteca location is better overall. But this is a much better location being in SoCal with lots of other things to do here. While Manteca is basically nothing but Great Wolf Lodge.

Details below. -parking was easy. -room check in at the kiosk was easy. -the kiosk printed our wristbands out. -I got a text with our room number about 30 min later (I would have preferred no wait, but it was the busy check in time). -we went to dinner at BJs down the road, no wait, very good 2 family dinner. Great M-F deals. -my kids did the high ropes course and liked it. We hit the arcade for about 15 minutes, they didn't really like it (but it's under construction, they were moving machines up into the lobby). -I brought chocolate croissants and muffins, we ate bfast in the room. The rooms have large mini fridges, there's a small microwave where the ice machines are on each floor, there's a good enough weird coffee machine in each room. -we loaded our regular bags into the car, checked out of our of the room at 9:40, got into the line for the pool. -got plenty of chairs together for the adults. -my advice: you do not needs chairs for each kid, especially older kids. They stop by, sit, and bounce. Most people eat at the tables, there are signs that people can only sit at tables for 30 min, we never had a problem eating at tables (it's so much easier). Don't waste a bunch of chairs on kids who never use them.... -the bar drinks at the pool were very very good. the Bloody Mary was the best one I've ever had. Yep. We had a mango pineapple rum drink that was so good, not too sweet at all. -every staff member we encountered was on point, very helpful and kind. -I charged everything using my wristband, very easy. CONS: -I've been several times. In my option, the pizza place is the only food worth getting when you are at the pool. The Bucket food place in the pool area is just not good, it's very cafeteria and expensive. -I saw about 15 people slip and fall, mostly near the life jacket stand outside the wave pool. Like full on hard falls. An employee has a floor squeegee, but it's pretty useless. Even people walking slipped. -the headboards in the renovated rooms are pretty bad and dangerous. They have posts spaced out like 5 inches that have right-edge corners, so, sharp. And the pillows are not enough and not fluffy. When you lean back, your head slams into those pillar posts. My daughter's head went right between two posts so she hit both sides of her head on the posts. I hit my head too. Who the hell thought that was a great design? After that issue, I noticed all the hard corners on everything in the room. My kids are older now, but parents or younger kids, take note.

Our family had an amazing time at Disneyland, but unfortunately our hotel experience fell well…read moreshort of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the experience was frustrating. The front desk staff had difficulty locating our original reservation, which created unnecessary stress after a long day of travel. At one point, we were nearly charged for an additional week's stay because of the confusion. Although the issue was eventually corrected, it left us questioning the hotel's reservation process. Before our trip ended, we decided to book an additional night so we could enjoy one more day at Disneyland. Despite extending our stay, we were told we had to move to a different room rather than remain in our existing one. This meant packing up all of our belongings and moving everything--including luggage, strollers, and our children's items--in the middle of our vacation. While we understand room availability can sometimes require this, the process was handled with very little effort to make it easier for our family. Unfortunately, that wasn't the end of it. On multiple occasions, we called the front desk to request luggage assistance, only for our requests to be forgotten or never fulfilled. We either had to call back or ultimately move everything ourselves, which was especially difficult while traveling with two young children. Throughout our stay, customer service was consistently disappointing. The front desk often came across as unfriendly and unwelcoming, and it frequently felt like our requests were more of an inconvenience than an opportunity to provide good service. Our biggest disappointment came on our final day. We requested a short extension to our checkout time, fully understanding that late checkouts are never guaranteed. However, the request was met with little empathy or effort to accommodate us. A courteous explanation or even an attempt to help would have gone a long way, but instead we were simply told no, leaving us feeling like guest satisfaction wasn't a priority. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and conveniently located near Disneyland, but exceptional hospitality is what separates a good hotel from a great one. Unfortunately, the repeated service issues, poor communication, and lack of hospitality overshadowed what should have been a memorable family vacation. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and invests in improving the guest experience so future visitors receive the level of service expected from a hotel of this caliber.

We stayed in the deluxe studio and had a beautiful view overlooking the pool. The room came with a queen bed as well as a queen size Murphy bed. It had a mini kitchen that came with a microwave, sink and fridge. The room was spacious however with all the amenities they definitely maximized on the space. Everyone from the bell hopper to security, front desk, housekeeping and any employee we interacted with were so nice! You could tell Disney keeps their employees happy here. We went to the pool and ordered food and drinks through their poolside service. Everything came out quick and delicious! Yes the Disneyland hotel is $$$ however you pay for the convenience of being close to the park. Which definitely helped us because we were able to take a midday nap! Will definitely stay here again!

I did not realize this but there are multiple towers this hotel and 3 pools! I got my Minnie ears here immediately and loved their gift shops!! They are RIGHT in the middle of downtown Disney so it is easy to just walk right over! When it came to accommodations, 10/10 the staff is SO sweet making sure your stay is absolutely wonderful. Their room service is delicious!!! One night we got the cheeseburger, the salmon, the wings, and my favorite- the pizza! So big and so delicious. I love how late they stay open as well of you don't have enough energy to go somewhere at the park you could get something delicious back at the room! They had a pull out bed that was extremely spacious as well. I had an incident where I was injured in the park by falling on the tracks where they have the parades and cracking my knee of the metal, well when I was limping back the front desk was already ON it, having someone come out from the medical station down Main Street which I was unaware they had, how neat, and offer ambulatory devices so I could get around the park such as scooters, wheelchair, they also cleaned it and wrapped it did an incident report and were so incredibly helpful. I will forever appreciate that because accidents happen and you never think it's going to be you until it is and they handled it so calm cool empathetic and collective it helped a lot. Though my knee ended up fractured it was the last day there so I REALLY got to admire this beautiful hotel. At one point I just hobbled down to the pools and put my feet in their hot tub! They also have Goofy's Kitchen which has a delicious breakfast! If I could give this hotel 1,000,000,000 stars I would. The intricate details they put to making these hotel towers magical is outstanding and I can't WAIT to go back!

It's the perfect walking distance from the parks. Very close driving distance to Downtown Disney and Goofys Kitchen, which we always go to on our trips. I love that parking is secure and the area feels safe even when walking back after park close. If you get a good view from your room, you can see Matterhorn and a bit of the firework show :)

They loved the added decorations, and it really made my 2 littles want to stay in the room "forever"! The door was wrapped in Baby Shark decor, which initiated the excitement as soon as we walked up to our hotel room. We arrived really early in the morning to check-in. They allowed us to park early and enjoy the parks until room was ready. We also lucked out with being able to have our room ready earlier than expected. Text message notification made it nice for updates. Also, if you door dash, they hold it in the lobby for you, which is really nice and convenient! On another note, they don't allow visitors to park on the property since they make guests a priority and do not allow visitors to access the pool. We were staying multiple days and had family that wanted to come visit us at the hotel, but we had to adjust our plans! So, we didn't make it to the pool like we had originally planned. I definitely give it a 4/5, because we didn't experience the pool and couldn't pay for the second vehicle, but we would stay here again since it is close to the parks and is a nice and safe walk across the street.

The property is clean, the ambiance is beautiful, and the staff provided great service throughout our stay. I loved that they offer amenities like valet, bell service, pool service, and room service, yet the prices are still very reasonable. There was also plenty of secure parking, which gave us extra peace of mind. The hotel is located next to the freeway, so I was a little concerned about noise. However, I was pleasantly surprised that I couldn't hear it at all from our room. You do notice some freeway noise at the pool, but they play music that helps minimize it, and it didn't take away from the experience. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely return. Highly recommend!

I was disappointed with my recent stay at The Viv Hotel. Compared to my previous visit, the overall…read morecustomer service and property maintenance have noticeably declined. One of the main automatic doors on the lobby level leading to the pool area was not functioning properly, which should have been addressed for both convenience and guest safety. In addition, we called the front desk in the morning to request clean towels, but no one answered after multiple attempts, which was frustrating and not what I expect from a hotel of this caliber. The pool area was also extremely overcrowded, making it difficult to relax and enjoy the amenities. While I understand holiday weekends can be busy, better crowd management would have significantly improved the guest experience. Unfortunately, this stay did not meet the standards I experienced during my previous visit. Unless there are noticeable improvements in customer service and property maintenance, this will likely be my last stay at this location.

First off the location is great for the parks, it's a doable walk when your feet are still fresh but if you're too tired they have their cute little trolley that drops you off and picks you up from the parks once an hour. It's a very quiet hotel, i've never had any noise issues staying there. The rooms are always clean and the beds are super comfy. Another plus is the A/C's always work great and since they renovated they're in the ceiling so it cools a lot more evenly. They've got a pool and hot tub plus a small wading pool for the little tykes! They've really stepped up their continental breakfast as well. Lots of choices and great things to grab for snacks later inside the park. The staff is always phenomenal and friendly. From front desk, to maids, to groundskeepers and security guards everyone smiles and greets you when walking by. We like a specific area of the hotel and they almost always honor that and are very personable. The price is pretty comparable to other ones in the surrounding area when you factor in parking fees for them. My family is usually willing to pay a little extra for that Candy Cane Inn charm. More affordable than any Disney branded hotel but still that great Disney level customer service.
