I too am a SVC member and I "second" everything that everyone, including Shirley J. said. PLUS: #11 - There was an uncovered and BROKEN electrical outlet next to the TV. When I tried to plug in my cord for my laptop, it sparked at me! I've been to 28 countries (including some backwater places in Africa) and NEVER have had an electrical plug spark at me. #12 - When we checked in the concierge gave us the typical coupons, maps and such. When I went back 2 days later to see if the had any menus of local restaurants in a binder, she started going through the same spiel ... I had to tell her TWICE that I already heard the spiel (to which she did NOT deviate from), and I just wanted to know if she had any menus. She gave me a xerox copy of a pizzeria menu. SHEESH. I got more info from the internet in 20 seconds that she gave me in her 3 minute, never changing, pitch. #13 - The door keys ... are C R A P!!! I went though 4 sets of door keys during my 4 day stay. My guest, in the next room, went through 3 sets of door keys in 3 days. They left a day earlier than us, as they couldn't take this place any more. This was VERY EMBARASSING TO ME as they were my guests. ALSO ... because of their problems with the keys, they missed the shuttle to Disneyland and had to wait an extra 1/2 hour. This is UN-acceptable #14 - There was no remote control for our DVD player. I called the front desk, and the said they'd send one up. 40 minutes later I called the front desk, and they said they'd send one up. 10 minutes later I went down to the front desk and raised my voice a bit ... I FINALLY got one. #15 - The room in which our guests stayed had a torn shower curtain. #16 - BOTH of our rooms had leaky bath tubs. #17 - We both had colds, so we used the Kleenex rather quickly. We called down to the front desk and asked if we could get some more Kleenex, and he said "I'm the only person at the front desk, so you'll have to come down and get it". WTF? I'm paying lots of $$$ to Shell and shouldn't have to schlep down the stairs to get a box of Kleenex. The front desk clerk was able to talk the security guard into delivering it ... thank you from our drippy noses. #18 - Our son forgot his toothbrush. My wife called down to the front desk. They suggested 7-11!!! That's BS ... I've NEVER had an issue getting a toothbrush. Finally, the guy at the front desk said "I've got some extras in my car, he can have one of those". WTF? #19 - One day, they didn't even clean our rooms!!!!! WTF? #20 - And the WORST thing ... the 2 rooms above our two rooms seemed to have the world sumo tag-team wrestling championships every night. Each of the first 2 nights I had to call the front desk THREE times to get results (and our guests ALSO called 3 times each). On the third night, I had to call because the BANGING on their floor (our ceiling) was SO BAD, I told them that "the next call I will be making would be to the local police department to file a noise complaint". I guess that got their attention, as 2 minutes later the banging stopped. Also ... AAA rates this 3 diamonds (same as the Disneyland Hotel) ... DO NOT BELIEVE AAA on this one! The size pf the room was big. With a good bathroom the room looks very neat and clean. There the room service was good every morning to come a staff care the room. The central air is also very nice and you feel comfortable to stay there. The bad was also big and it was soft place to sleep. read more

It seemed like they remodeled this hotel. It's very nice. We had a 1 bedroom suite and separate living room with pullout bed/ sofa. It also came with small refrigerator, microwave, sink, and dishes. Only thing I didn't like about the room was in the main room, by 5:30-6 the sunlight comes through so your not able to sleep in. They offer a free breakfast everyday which is pretty good cause most hotels don't. Breakfast consist of bagels, waffle, 3 kinds of donuts (choco, powder, crumb), hard boil eggs, yogurt (2 kinds), cereal (2 kinds), oatmeal, and juices. Everyone is very nice. There's valet and it cost 10 plus tax a night. There is a shuttle but don't know how much it cost. You can walk to Disney but I thought walking all day at Disney and than back to hotel was too much. Hotel is close to target, fwy 5, and the outlets in Orange. Could've been in a better location cause it's right next to fwy but we didn't mind. Pool area is covered but open and they also have a patio with a pool table, video games, picnic tables, and BBQ grill. read more

I stayed here recently while on a vacation to Disneyland. After a long drive from the bay area, I was excited to finally be nearing the resort. I had the printed confirmation paper in my hand that listed the resort address as "1745 Anaheim Blvd" - we exited the freeway but wasn't sure if we were supposed to go to North or South Anaheim Blvd. When we called the resort to ask, a lady up front couldn't tell us whether it was north or south. Trying to be helpful & give directions, she kept asking where we were and to just head towards Disneyland - never being in southern California, we didn't know even know where Disneyland was to head towards.... we hung up the phone frustrated that we couldn't get a straight answer. Thankfully, we found it but a simple "south" was all that was needed in order to find the location.. or for the correct specific address to be printed on the confirmation paper in the first place. When we arrived we were greeted, the staff was extremely friendly. They made sure we felt welcomed, gave us some maps of the area, coupons, and also informed us of locations around the resort where we could eat, visit, etc. They have some "hook-ups" with a local restaurant that will deliver food to your room - at an additional charge of course. Although we didn't go, one restaurant also offers free limousine pickup. As others previously mentioned, in order to get into your hotel room - you walk through the parking lot, past the very strong chlorine-smelling pool that is packed full with loud and crazy kids then into the elevator (we were on 3rd floor). The room was nice and cozy, clean for the most part. I liked that it had two tvs, one in each room. They had a separate lounging room to the side of the bedroom - that a way if one person is sleeping the other can go in the other room, shut the door and curtains, watch television and not wake the other. In the suite there was a microwave, dinnerware, mini refrigerator, air conditioner/heater, & safe inside a closet-area. The bathroom was HUGE - but then again, we were placed into the handicap room so that may have been why, but I wasn't complaining! The room also had a full length mirror on the door as well as a huge wall mirror in the bathroom. The valet staff was extremely nice, having the valet parking was cool... but sort of sucked because, as others have mentioned, we felt as if we were supposed to tip every time even when we just needed our car to go right down the road for a few minutes. They said they have to do the valet parking due to the limited space and sometimes had to "triple stack" the cars. The resort also has a "gift shop" that has some t-shirts, souvenirs, as well as drinks, food, medicine, etc. We didn't go have the complimentary breakfast or spend time at the pool so I can't make any comments regarding that. But overall we had a nice experience and would stay at this resort again. read more

We stay here because we are shell owners if we werent i would stay at embassy suites- better rooms, way better service and better breakfast the grounds at peacock- odd, you walk through a parking lot and by the weird small pool, alot the rooms- nice the valet- awesome! i am not stoked about paying $8/day for parking but the guys are really nice the check in staff are fine the management and accountant- stink! i had trouble with my credit card hold being released and they we're trying to cover their behinds before they would do anything to help me i explained the confusion and what had happened and they were like, 'well we didnt do anything wrong and if we help you in any way it will just be us doing you a favor' i dont need a favor i need you to do your job, okay?! customer service has been replaced by a cover your a** mindset here at the peacock suites. update: i just got finished fixing the mess that peacock caused for me and it has been a horrible experience dealing with them and cost me $60 bucks in bank fees (it would have been $150 in bank fees but my bank is really good and refunded some of the fees as a courtesy and they suggested i call peacock to recoup the other $60 - i am not even going to waste any more of my time on peacock) final- even if you are owners dont waste your points here. read more

Second time staying here. This place is soo great. Huge rooms with mini kitchen (has everything dishes toaster fridge microwave and coffee pot) and dinning room table sofa bed plus 2 queen beds in other room. People here are amazing!! Don't stay here unless you are a Shell Vacations club owner. We stayed for almost a week this past November and they only made the bed once during our entire stay. Each day when we returned to the room, I brought to the attention of the front desk management and each day the promised that they would speak to the housekeeping manager about it. To me it felt as thought the housekeeping staff was only in the room for 5 minutes or less each day. From what we can tell, this is all they did: 1) Brought clean towels. 2) Emptied the trash cans. 3) Remove used cups and emptied the ice bucket. What we observed them not doing during our stay: 1) Make the bed. 2) Replace used cups and the ice bucket bag. Now I just have to mention that since this is a Timeshare hotel, they have a policy that they only change the sheets every three days, which I am fine with. The problem I have is that I am staying in a hotel and they damn well better make the bed. Other things that make this hotel not worth staying at. 1) Mandatory valet parking 2) Continental breakfast that has such low quality items that you are better off eating McDonald's. (You can get a 10% coupon for a nearby McDonald's from the flier rack at the hotel). 3) They have 2 elevators, one of which only serves floors 1-3 and the other that only serves floors 2-4. So if you get a room on the 4th floor you have to take 2 elevators with the luggage cart. read more

The staff is polite, helpful, and very attentive. The mandatory valet situation ($10/day) is a bummer, but a welcomed consequence of heavy density of cars, per available parking space. Plenty of amenities, though you will probably only use a few if you are there to visit the Disney parks. The breakfast is the biggest letdown. Pre-packaged donuts and hardboiled eggs, along with cereal and bagels....... very "eh." The bottom line is - ITS FREE. Free is hard to argue with. Don't stay here, unless you enjoy replacing your things. Recently stayed here because we were attending a convention. The place is okay. Beds are too firm for my personal preference, but that's not a big deal. It's clean, has a mini fridge, provided some complimentary goodies. And I thought I was really going to like this place. But then... We asked housekeeping to not come in and they came in did their thing anyway. That was slightly annoying because somehow my micro USB cord went missing. (I searched, moved things, unpacked and putting everything back in place three times and couldn't find it.) Not that the cord breaks the bank to replace, it was just inconvenient because I had to go out of my way to go find and buy one to charge my phone. Also, after we checked out. We realized we left a toiletry bag in the room. We called at around 5 p.m. to see if it got turned it by housekeeping. The front desk person said they'd call us back. Six hours later I called back. The new front desk person said nothing was turned in. I told them specifically where the bag was left and if they wouldn't mind checking again. She said well housekeeping checked. And I said, well it was in a drawer, maybe they missed it? She replied, "no they didn't. They check in all the drawers when they clean the rooms." Haha, I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure you weren't physically with them when they were cleaning, and I'm even more certain that you didn't physically go check yourself. She seemed pretty unwilling to help. Whatever. Another inconvenient trip to the store to replace items that mysteriously went missing at this hotel. Too bad, I kind of liked the hotel. But I'm definitely never staying again, or recommending it. Shoutout to the valet guys. They were nice, polite and accommodating. read more

BEWARE!!! This hotel is surrounded by a linen company that starts loading trucks with the forklift at 3:30am Monday through Friday. At 3:30am you will hear "beep, beep, beep" with the forklift backing up with loads, "BEEP, BEEP, BEEP" as the trucks back up to set out on deliveries. This goes on until almost 8am. Furthermore, cannot lift the blinds to only window if you don't want linen employees starring at you. Rooms are small and cramped. Floor upstairs above you is very loud. And the pillows smell. Mandatory valet parking as well for additional mandatory fee. Would not consider even for free. read more

Upon arrival, it was a bit busy because everyone was coming in, but Stephanie was quick and super accommodating! She was able to get my family a room facing Disneyland on the 4th floor. We waited a little bit, but it was worth the wait because of the Mickey Halloween party, we got kicked out of the parks at 6pm and thought we'd miss the fireworks, we totally got to see them! I'm only giving 4 stars because the drain in our shower was a bit slower than we'd like and would have to speed through our shower just so we weren't standing in our own filth lol Overall, great experience. read more

We where pleasantly surprised. This place was clean and very comfortable. Housekeeping was awesome! we have 4 kids so we had two different accidents. One where my kid got sick and another leaky diaper at night. Housekeeping did a very prompt and complete job of cleaning. I was impressed. All in all, this place was a joy. I will absolutely stay here again! Just keep in mind that there is only a half kitchen. it includes a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, half fridge, dishes, but no kitchen sink. We where OK with this but it takes some adjusting to get used to cleaning dishes in the bathroom. The continental breakfast was a surprise to us but it is nothing to write home about. Boiled eggs and toaster stuff, cereal, juice, etc. None the less, the free breakfast saved us time and money. Kids seemed fine with it. Clean, friendly, and convenient. I like this place and my wife was happy with it as well. We are kind of clean freaks and this place more than passed our test. The laundry room is on the 4th floor. We have kids so we wanted to be close to the laundry. We had room #401 directly next to the laundry room and it was awesome. I will ask for room #401 next time I stay there. it's a 2 bedroom and your neighbor on the right is the laundry room. Perfect if you have kids. read more

I booked through resorttime.com so it was really cheap! I stayed from a thursday afternoon to sunday morning for a total of $180. I liked how they had breakfast and daily house keeping. HOWEVER. They did not inform us that the hotel was under construction, so... A) it was a pain to get to our room because we had to walk around to the rear elevator. B) there was noise started at around 7 or 8 am (and we like to sleep in :( ) C) the noise from the halls travel in...so if people are walking and talking down the hall, you can hear them. The room we got was really nice and the front desk people were nice too. Be sure to keep a copy of your confirmation! They didn't have mine and I had to pull it up on my blackberry. They also force you to valet park your car for 8$/day. so over all price wise 160$ for the stay and 24$ for the parking. not bad overall. read more

Great location that would be a five stars the concierge ladies and one guy front desk with black glasses and Stephanie Mgr on duty awesome super friendly!! Unfirtunately for a Wyndham property the towels were very rough the need fabric softener or better quality- - they don't clean your room daily like a hotel-nice to have dishes but no sink to wash them - they accidentally gave me a 7 o'clock wake up call it was the wrong room and I desperately needed sleep- ( went to bed at4:00am) The staff was extremely friendly as stated, except the woman checking me out trying to check out ASAP but the woman took forever she was reading all kinds of notes after my complaint about the wake up call I said can you just check me out and she told me to wait a minute she was just being a little bit too nosy she was smiling as she was reading it all. I did go on the timeshare presentation that was supposed to be two hours I was hesitant but was promise NO PRESSURE ( not so) they kept me for over 3 hrs even after I said MANY times I'm not buying today for certain I need to ck out eBay that an acquaintance bought with all the perks for $97.00 and another friend $1,500 at a County Auction I just found out the day before my trip. I didn't want the bad traffic - must leave after 2 hrs. I got hit with traffic since they took forever. I was offered a 50% discount off next stay but I may stay elsewhere even 50% off not competitive-( from what I saw on hotels.com) many options in the area some wth breakfast comparable prices-had it been free I would give another try. read more

TAKE NOTE this is a hotel close to Disneyland THEREFORE lots of families and kids. I saw a lot of comments complaining about noisy kids but what do you expect, they are kids after all. Anyways my boyfriend and I stayed at this place for 2 nights and it was really nice. We didn't find it noisy at all. I was pleasantly surprised. I honestly didn't expect much. The hotel has a pool, communal area with tv, and 24hrs valet. Inside the room there's a mini kitchen with a mini fridge, coffee maker and toaster. They also have a table and a couch that turns into a bed also there's a tv. In the bedroom they have a nice, comfy bed with a tv. There's an iron, ironing board, an extra blanket, and pillows. The bathroom is good and has extra towels, hairdryer, and mini shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap bar and mouthwash. It's about a 20mins walk from Disneyland and the Disney shuttle stops in front of the hotel. I highly recommend this! I don't usually put 5 stars because I don't think ANY place is perfect. I stayed here 2 weeks ago and have returned for another stay. On this stay I am delighted with the resort and the help from the Manager, Tina and indeed all the other staff. My 2 Queen bed room is bright and airy and quiet. Everything in the room and the resort is sparkling clean with more sanitizer and wipes than most other places I have stayed in the last year. The offices close every so often for a deep clean and it is obvious that attention to cleaning is genuine and thorough. As a Shell Vacations Club owner (part of Wyndham), all resorts are slightly different and I have enjoyed staying at the Napa and Las Vegas properties this year too and been pleased with the service everywhere. read more

It's been about 4 years since we last stayed at Peacock and the husband and I were definitely impressed with our stay this time. They did get rid of the free breakfast, but there are other changes that has made this hotel great. They still have the mandatory valet (which I like). There are other hotels that will charge for parking fee, but having the valet is a great option for us. We came back to the hotel late from the park, and never had to worry about not finding a parking space. The king-sized bedroom studio was wonderful. The pull out sofa bed and the king-sized mattress were both tempurpedic mattresses. WHO HAS THAT?!?!?! The room also had a microwave, mini fridge, plates, cups and utensils, which is always good. We were able to make breakfast before heading out to the parks for the day. read more

Stayed here for a couple nights just to be closer to Disneyland and California Adventure. Perfect location. About. 10-15 min walk to the park. Or a 10 min ride using the ART #6 bus. All valet parking. The front desk and concierge really try to sell you on their products on check in because this is a Wyndham timeshare. But we got this through Airbnb.com. I survived not getting sucked in through the sales pitch of getting $100 if I went to a meeting. And just unplugged my phone so I wouldn't be bothered through out my stay. There's a small pool and 2 jacuzzis. Our room wasn't too bad. We got 2 double beds and a pull out couch sleeps 6. Small kitchen and nice bathroom. Room 216. Stayed during April. There was construction in the next lot which starts at 7am. Which woke me up. All in all, not bad just to go to Disneyland and California Adventure park for a couple of days. read more

This is definitely the nicest place we've stayed in the Disneyland area. I'm a big fan of the decorating scheme. Very pretty, comfortable room -- 2 TVs, 2 double beds and a queen (I think) sleeper sofa, which is hard to find in the area but is a must when you're traveling with a group of 5 or 6! It had a weird little kitchenette that wouldn't have been weird if there had been a sink. But I could see the benefit if you wanted to eat in the room - it had a dining table, mini fridge, and dishes to use. I would definitely return to this place. The only drawbacks are the thin walls (which are a problem in kid-centric areas like Disneyland -- hello 5am wake-up call from super excited tots running around screaming) and the valet-only parking. Breakfast was ok, definitely a step up from the usual packaged continental "pastries" so popular at other places. I almost forgot, perhaps my favorite part - there were like 5 towels folded into different shapes in the bathroom! Lots of extra points to the service staff for that bit of charm. read more

Received an early check in with no problem. Friendly staff at the counter as well as valet. Room was on the first floor, very clean and modern. I was really surprised at how close the location was to the Anaheim Convention Center. It was only a few blocks down and about a 8 minute walk from the hotel. We were in town for USA Cheer competition. Location is about .8miles to Disneyland which is about a 15 minute walk. Love the free board games and dvd rentals. Great space downstairs for playing games and swimming. Stayed here for 3 nights and not once was our room cleaned. I'm not sure if that's normal. The walls are really thin, you can hear the water when someone is taking a shower or when flushing the toilet. Would definitely stay here again. Plus side. If you are disabled and have your placard, your parking fees will be waived. read more

Location is very central to Disneyland, dowtown Disney and within a few miles away from Anaheim convention, Knotts Berry Farm. The customer service and welcone are very accommodating. My friend has the timeshare and booked 2 adjoining rooms. My name was not on reservation and I didnt have confirmation number. I arrived a little earlier than friends and they were able to call and corfirm it so that I can check in. Very important when you have special needs child. Heidi gave us a goodie bag and Although the building is a little outdated, they have done some remodeling. The rooms are more in a neutral color scheme, with wood furnishings and updated appliances Cuisinart toaster and coffee maker. The window shades are new, with a modern roll up mechanism. The room has a larger than basic size mini fridge. and microwave. Note place does NOT have stovetop or oven, as does older/nonupdated Wyndham/Worldmark. I guess thats the offset for the upgrades. This room can sleep up to 6 people (2 Queens and sofa bed). The set up is interesting. You walk in bathroom is on one side while bathroom sink & vanity on the opposing side. The mini kitchenette opposes the dining table. The living room w tv. The bedroom has sliding door and has 2nd tvm they have a room safe located bottom of night stand. The customer service is very good so far, from valets to receptionist. I hear there was a seminar to attend with an incentive but I was spared the info bc my son was acting up. They also give you a folder with info on local areas, especially Disneyland but we were here to go to Wolfe Lodge. There is a Vons and Target south of hotel about 2 to 3 miles. There s also plenty of stores and restaurants in the area too. Overall, I would come back to this hotel next time I am in the area. read more

I stayed here with my boyfriend last month for two nights when we were going to Disneyland. I had stayed here before but at least 5 years prior and it has been renovated since my last stay. The rooms were smaller than I remembered. But very clean and updated. I wasn't a fan of the "living room/kitchen/dining room" and "bedroom" being separated by the bathroom. It made the room feel really broken up and small. It was just the two of us though so it worked. The AC is wonderful here and very quiet only thing is the maid turns it off when cleaning your room so you come back to a hot box at night. Tw bed was comfortable and the sheets clean. But there was no real comforter on the bed which was weird. I did however like the two large flat screen TVS in the rooms and how the small kitchen had real plates cups and silver wear. The walls are thin so you can hear everyone around you, plus they put us directly across from the main elevator which was not appreciated. The staff was very knowledgable and friendly. They do not have a shuttle for the Disney resort and it is a good walk away. Not to far for us, but with kids possibly. Breakfast was nothing special. And they have a mandatory valet parking for $10 a night. They guys were super fast getting your car anytime you need it and are available 24 hours a day. Overall the price was right $79 for a king "suite" it was clear and less run down than most hotels in the area for that price. read more

Really nice place for being so inexpensive. The rooms are clean and convenient for up to 4 people. Check in was quick and all the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They gave us a welcome bag and plenty of coupons for the surrounding area. Parking is $10.50 mandatory valet, but I'll take it considering Disneyland is only a short walk away and their parking is $18 a day. The only thing that I was a little bummed about was the lack of insulation between the rooms and floors. I could hear everything that was going on around me. If the people around you get up a lot during the night you can expect to be up with them. I am not a light sleeper, but I woke up the same time as the people directly upstairs from me because their footsteps and showers were so loud. All in all, great place. I was really happy with the way it turned out and will be back. read more

Mediocre accommodations. They say "a short walk to the park" but in reality it is 1 mile. They have a random "gift shop" in the back corner of floor 2. It feels like Chinatown... tons of cheap souvenirs crammed into a small space. They also have a 4th floor "sun deck"... although the chaise lounges look high quality, they sit overlooking the windows of some of the rooms. Quite odd. The beds were not the most comfortable. It was nice having a toaster and dish ware. We experienced the elevator being out of service plus the pool was closed while we were there. My family enjoyed our stay. We were close to Disneyland and could have walked but we had children in the age range of 3-6 years old. So if you have older children you can walk there in 15 min. The shuttle service was great and they come every 20min. We have stayed here in the past with no complaints however this time our room upon check in was dirty, the floor was sticky and had something spilled from previous guest. The table was greasy. I understand being a "green" hotel but come on... clean the rooms! We asked for new towels after our first night as the ones that were in the room appeared used and just re folded. The next day while we were out the literally placed four "fresh" towels, not even folded just in a messy ball on the bed.... I don't think we will be back.... read more

I am going to rate this the same as the overall hotel rating. The room we were in was so loud every night we heard the kids in the pool and the air hockey table. Having a kid that goes to bed at 8pm makes it difficult. The pool is super small and it's like packing clowns into a clown car with the amount of kids in it not something I feel is safe for younger kids who may not be strong swimmers. It is walking distance to the gardenwalk which was nice for dinner as there is no restaurant on site. They did not try to sell me a timeshare as I told them up front I did not have time and I disconnected the phone as soon as we got in the room. There was some stains on a towel that the maid replaced right away. Not a place I would spend a week at but ok to lay my head for a couple. read more

Stayed for a weekend through time share owned by my cousins. We got a three bedroom suite that came with a kitchenette and some living space. Compared to other rooms we've been to through time share, it was a bit smaller, but a prime location if visiting the parks and not be overwhelmed with all the Disney love! The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and got cleaned the next day. There were tv in all the rooms and you can borrow dvds from the front desk. The pool is on the cold side, even though it was humid and warm outside. There's a sun deck on the top floor and a game space near the pool. We played billiards and air hockey, but there's also a foosball table and game consoles. Overall enjoyed the amenities and our stay here. It was relatively close to the Packing District too! Parking is valet ($10.50 + tax per day) and it's the only parking option for this hotel. read more

I would give it a 1 star for the service but the rooms are decent. they only clean them every 3rd day so for 99% of people staying for the weekend your room never gets cleaned. I've never stayed in a place that didn't clean the room daily and to get housekeeping is an additional $50 a day.....are you serious? This place is just a little to far to walk to Disneyland the pool is filled with kids and stinks like chlorine.....because it's always filled with kids. I would find another hotel if your here for the weekend to visit the theme parks. read more

This was our fourth visit to Peacock Suites for a family Disney trip. All staff were friendly throughout the stay - from check-in, housekeeping, maintenance and valet. The rooms are small, but comfortable offering all the modern conveniences: coffee maker, fridge, microwave, toaster, dishes, plenty of towels, etc. The beds are really comfortable.
