I am a Shell Vacation Discovery owner which means they only temporarily mislead me into thinking this was a great thing. No one bothered to mention the construction going on so the view out my window was scaffolding. Mandatory valet parking that they are charging me for? I thought I was an owner? The walls must be made out of paper since I could hear every time a toilet was flushed. I could hear footsteps from above. The fitness center was closed. I was sold on having a kitchen when I was vacationing but all we had was a mini fridge and a microwave. This is not an owners condo, this is a 2-3 star motel. Looks better in the brochure. read more

This is my 2nd stay at the Peacock suite resort. The 1st time was 6 years ago before the remodel. It was very out dated and needed a new look and a cleaner feel to it. This stay is a bit better. The rooms are much nicer then the last time I stayed here. We had a 2 bedroom suite with a "kitchenette". However there was no sink in the kitchen. This is very annoying, there was dish soap but you had to wash any dishes by hand in the bathroom. They are still doing construction on the 2nd floor and we had to ask about the sink. The works said they are now putting sinks in. Like it was an after thought? Apparently next time I come to stay,if we do, there will be sinks in all the rooms. Good idea...a little oversight in the planning. Each day the maid would come and take away the old dishes and do a few things like remove towels. I understand that a timeshare hotel does not normally change the bedding each day however they have not made the beds either. We were told house cleaning would do the beds on Wed but they never changed the sheets, made the beds, swept the floor, wiped of the counter in the kitchen or vacuum? Really some very basic housekeeping tasks. We are staying seven nights and I Am seriously thinking about buying a broom. Or at least borrowing the one on the cart in the hallway that doesn't get used. Beware they also do not provide anything but butter knives for security reasons. When we used the nice BBQ court yard area we had to purchase a knife for our veggies and meat. One more thing (which is making me think I should change this to 2 stars) is the room keys. If you put the key card near a credit card or cell phone they don't work anymore. Try finding a place to store your key while enjoying the theme parks anywhere except with your cards and phone. I don't know about you but those are the only items I do take to spend the day walking and going on rides. I guess I don't have enough pockets. We had to get new key cards at least 4 times. No really each day we have been here. This last time I went to the desk I could tell they were a little irritated with the request for new keys. :). I am keeping the rating as it is 3 stars because I am pleasantly surprised by the new look and feel of the rooms for one and the staff at the front desk as well as the valet. Service means a lot to me and they are very attentive. ( no so much for the house keeping staff) We enjoyed the pool and Hot tubs each day. But try to stay away from the breakfast. I'll try and keep it short but sweet, the property itself was spotless, conveniently located, and short walk to restaurants, 7-11, etc, with a shuttle right in front of property. Like most others that have reviewed, not a big fan of having to pay for valet parking but the suites are so fairly priced that it's not a big deal, and they do have in and out privileges. Now the best part of our stay, our check-in front desk associate, Dorothy...OMG, OMG, OMG! Amazing! Helped us get into a different room (small issue with the previous) while showing us the different options, so nice to our little 5 years old son. Carrying conversations with him, smiled the whole time, while showing us our other room options. And after we got settled in our room, personally came to our door and handed us a gift bag with goodies for our son, little toys from the movie Cars, Chocolate for us, etc. We were absolutely floored at the service we received from her. In fact everyone that works here that we have come in contact with has been amazing! Daisy the General Manager is no exception. Completely helped accommodate our room change and was glad to do so! :) Even held the door to our new room while we brought our things in from one room to another! Nice , Quiet & Clean. Felt like I was in studio apt. So made me feel at home. Pool was nice and had two jacuzzi on 1st floor along with a big room with pool table, air hockey and TV to chill well kids are playing. On 4th floor there's a sundeck to drink or just get some sun. Then there's Two barbeques so bring something (hotdogs ,hamburger, ) it's cheaper then to eat out all the time. Parking is $11.00 plus tax if have visitors first two hours free but after it's $11.00 valet still parks everyone car. Front desk had great customer service as well as there technical guy who had to fix my TV. I forgot his name young Mexican guy. I would come again. read more

First off, my review is as a guest of a timeshare holder. Guest. With that said, my expectations of this place as compared to other timeshare locations I have stayed at (Hawaii, Vegas, Florida) were not up to expectations. The rooms were smaller. Kitchenette, no true cooking facilities. However, our goal was NOT to be timeshare owners/holders but to soak in everything Disney. With that said, this place exceeded my expectations. It was like a hotel room on crack. The amenities for such a high traffic area was great. In order of importance for me, traveling with two young children: 1. Breakfast- and foods they liked. We ate three bagels, two yogurts, three donuts, 4 glasses of milk, two bowls of cereal, and unlimited coffee for the parents. The equivalent of a 40 dollar Disney park breakfast for free each day for 7 days. Remember to tip Sugar and her staff, they work harder people. 2. The ART is the first stop at Peacock suites. You might think this is minor. Try handling the twin stroller, two backpacks, a cooler bag, and all your shopping for the day at Disney... Yeah that first stop is golden baby. 3. Staff is superb. Multi cultural and happy. More happy than the people at Disney! (This trip there were some pretty pissy Disney workers!) Pleasant, helpful staff is always a plus! 4. While there are some complaints about the 10 dollar a day valet, and tip, I actually liked being dropped off at the lobby. I didn't have to self-park then lug my crap to the nearest elevator. I never had to wait long for my car and the valet staff is nothing but nice. Great job gentlemen. We did not do Disney on the cheap. If that's your goal move along little doggies. But if you know you gonna get shanked by the Mouse, enjoy the ride. Create those memories, and start your second job to pay for those toys, shirts, candies, valet, rental car, etc... What turned me off was when I was directed to a concierge as the "next step" of the check in process where they pressured me to join a club and come to some sort of orientation. Front desk check in with Mike was tops! Mike was very friendly and welcoming. The concierge with nicole was pleasant as she explained discounts and places to eat around the area. The room was really nice, clean and great with separate area/room divider. I was very pleased that the room had a mini kitchenette. Room service was professional and took care of our needs. The continental breakfast was average like most places. There was an outdoor patio with an awning to relax on and have our coffee and breakfast. Sugar the housekeeping person who worked the breakfast was very friendly. I have had a few continental breakfasts in my day and the people that work those have been unfriendly in the past so this was nice to have for a change. Pool lounge area nice. Pool was small but accomadting with a giant flat screen tv! Ping pong, pool table and 2 video games. One being Pac Man! The sun deck was enjoyable with a fire place and couch to relax on. read more

Utilized the boyfriend's timeshare during our visit to So Cal. Scored a never before slept in (room 401), newly remodeled 2 bedroom suite. 3 days/2 nights. 3 children. 2 adults. Pros: - Conveniently located 2 miles from Disneyland - Recently updated interior - Spacious bedrooms, bathrooms and living area - Complimentary continental breakfast - Each alarm clock had a dock for our iPods/iPhones Cons: - Because the hotel is currently under renovation, there is construction going on throughout the building. At the time of our stay, the elevator would not go all the way up to our floor (the 4th floor). Not a huge deal, but inconvenient nonetheless. - The exterior does not match the newly upgraded rooms. The exterior is that of a motel... not a hotel/inn/suite. - Loud toilets. I mean, REALLY loud. Don't flush in the middle of the night, unless you want to wake others. Bottom line, although nice enough, I have experienced better. They're still remodeling, so my hope is that they quickly address their motel-like outward appearance. read more

I'll make this simple and quick... Stayed here for a quick minute on a Saturday before Disneyland. I really think I booked the last room the hotel through Hotwire because I got shoved in a handicap room and I don't have any handicaps that I am aware of unless Mama isn't telling me something ;) Arrived late so check in was easy. They took my card and a $100 hold for parking and any incidentals. The rooms are small but cozy, and have a separate little living area with a sofa sleeper and another t.v. The bed was super comfortable, and I love that they have Dish with some free premium movie channels (although they need to adjust the dishes so that the reception doesn't cause freezing). The bed was super comfortable. My only gripe was... because this was a handicap room it came with a weird shower head that you could adjust vertically. Now the shower head was on a hose and you could detach it, but if you didn't detach it there was no way to make it spray in a way that wasn't hugely annoying. So detachable shower heads are a plus but not when you need to lather up and all that good stuff. Small complaint but that's what I get for using hotwire on the same Saturday that I was going :) The remodel has made the rooms really nice. They're insanely nice for the price actually. The rumors are true though, the walls are thin, and the rooms are close knit so I could totally here someone in the bathroom in the room next door. And I definitely got woken up when the people started moving up stairs. Anyways, definitely worth a stay for the price and proximity to dland. Definitely beats a lot of other hotel options in the area. I enjoyed my stay even though I had a couple of gripes. Nothing is perfect right? read more

My son and I stayed here for his birthday visit to Disneyland even though we live in Orange County and we thought it was great! The beds are comfortable and it's very close to Disneyland and many other amenities. The staff is extremely friendly and go out of their way to make your stay wonderful. This place was only $70 a night and gave us our money's worth for sure. The staff was polite and efficient, the room was a 2 room "suite" with a pull out sofa and two, yes two 42 inch LG tv with Dish network. We got 8, yes 8 pillows for out bed! I'm finally reviewing this place after staying there last month. I had a hard time between giving it 3 or 4 stars. I settled on 3 and here is why. Rooms: It was cleaned daily. Even when we put up the do not disturb for the morning because we were out until midnight, they came back later and cleaned it up. I've stayed at pricier hotels that did not do that. We had the two queen beds and the pull out sofa. It wasn't a huge space, but we had plenty of room for 3 adults and 3 smallish kids. I don't know if we pack light, but there was plenty of space for all of our stuff between the closet, wardrobe and drawers. We didn't even use them all. Even though there was no "kitchen" it came equipped with dishes and silverware which was nice. We didn't wash them because of the single bathroom sink. We left them and the maids took them. Easy! Everything else: Breakfast was unexciting. Just had the usual muffins, cereals, etc. The pool was small and seems like it would be very crowded on the weekends. We stayed Mon to Thurs so maybe that helped. The hot tubs and the play area were a nice touch. I like that it was covered, but it was very loud with the kids. The rec/ game/ BBQ area was nice. If we had time to use it, we probably would've. They ran out of Disney tickets at the hotel. We were only asked once to join the hour long time share meeting. For a $100 credit at Disneyland, I think it's a great deal. We didn't have the time so we weren't able to attend. All of the hotels I researched charged for and had mandatory valet, so I don't think this was unusual. Also, the cost at Peacock was less pricey than the others. Note: I had a couple of dollars in the ash tray and it was taken. I know I shouldn't leave money there.....but it was $2...really? I would've tipped more than that. Laundry should be avoided. The washer broke with my clothes in it so it was sitting in dirty water when I went to put it in the dryer. That was after I had to go get detergent from the 2nd floor gift shop and quarters from the 1st floor lobby, then trek back up to the 3rd floor laundry. So yea, after all that, I had to wring out all of my clothes, which of course didn't dry in the dryer because it was too wet. Grrr...... So, if you want clean updated roomy rooms this is a good place. If you want great amenities, it's hit or miss. Needless to say, the maids got all the tip money and the valet got a couple of bucks. read more

I stayed at Peacock Suites in Anaheim to see a concert at Downtown Disney. I had a newly remodeled room which is EXTREMELY nice! A great suite. You walk in and have a nice office area , flat screen TV , coffee table and couch. There is a great kitchenette equipped with coffee maker ( wolfgang puck coffee), stainless steel microwave and fridge, as well as plates, glasses and silverware. Very nice decor. The bedroom also has a great new look with nice TV. There is a full tub. I was very impressed with the overall look and comfort of my room. Bed was pretty comfy too. I bought this room at a discounted rate through hotels.com. What a deal. It is very close to Disneyland. There is a shuttle you can take to the parks, but there is a charge. There is also a $10 valet parking fee. This is a great place to bring kids. They have continental breakfast, a small pool, 2 hot tubs, sun deck and fitness room. There definitely are a lot of kids running around, but we are right around the corner from Disney, so what do you expect. I would say this is a great place to stay with your family while visiting Disney. They even have a nice grill downstairs you can use to BBQ while you are here. You can also buy your tickets to the parks downstairs and avoid standing in a long line before you even get in the park. read more

I have stayed here three times and always at different times of the year. I could write paragraphs about each stay, but I'll keep it simple. Even with the newly remodeled rooms, the place is just ok. There are always issues; toilet plugged, construction going on, A/C not working, can't find staff to bring necessities, etc. Customer service is just ok, nothing special. You MUST valet park which can get really annoying. The pool/game area is also nothing special; fine for taking a dip but no extras. It's close enough to Disneyland to walk but far enough that you're hot and annoyed by the time you get there. Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. read more

Got a room here December 19 2013 to go to Disney Land on the 20th. There is a good deal of construction going on at this hotel. My first impression wasn't a good one at first. The front desk personnel were very friendly and treated you with a good amount of respect. The first big problem came when we checked in at 4:15pm. We were told it would be 10-15 minutes before our room was ready. Check in starts at 4:00pm and they weren't ready? Someone dropped the ball on this one. Being told it would take 10-15 minutes twice irked me a bit. The last update they said it would take 5 more minutes. This was half an hour after we checked in. Exactly 45 minutes after we checked in we finally got our room keys. The rooms were very nice and clean. The central air is also very nice and has enough white noise for those who sleep with fans. The bed is also a nice soft place to sleep. No problems with the pillows either. Valet is another area they are doing very well. The guys there treat your car very nicely and they themselves are a nice bunch of people. While checking out they politely asked me how my stay was and asked if there was anything we could do better. I told them strait out the check in time needs quite a bit of work. They told me they would take all valet fees which are $10 and $1.50 Parking Tax and the $.20 just to use their parking structure every day. I sure thought that was quite a nice gesture. Which is why I don't flame them in this review. Overall, my wife and I had a pleasant stay and will consider staying here once again. read more

I do like this hotel a lot. Wonderful staff- each time we had to deal with someone who worked here during our last stay, they were incredible! Just incredibly friendly and helpful every time. The rooms were updated since our last year, and the room was gorgeous! If you need a lot of space, or a kitchenette, it's a good value! I'm only lowering my rating from last time because of the location to Disneyland. It's not too terribly far, but too far for us to walk. (I was in the Tinker Bell Half Marathon, and the last thing I wanted to do after was walk to the hotel) We had to use to the Anaheim Resort Transit buses and they're AWFUL. They were slow drivers, and it would take us like 40 minutes to get to the park (which was 5 minutes away by car). My other complaints would be that they didn't update the breakfast room. Who wants boiled eggs and stale pastries?! Ugh. There was also a leak in the hallway roof of the floor we were on, and it was being repaired our entire stay. Slightly inconvenient since the hallway is not terribly wide. It's overall a nice hotel with a great staff, but f you're going to Disneyland, stay closer to the park. read more

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and I was very pleased with the staff and cleanliness of the rooms. But upon returning home yesterday I realized I left my wallet in the drawer at the hotel. I called last night and spoke with a James and he stated that the housekeeping manager would not be in until this morning. I called this morning at 730 am and spoke with Stephanie who was very pleasant and stated she would return my call once the housekeeping manager checks the room. I received a call from Stephanie this morning around 930 and she stated that housekeeping did not find a wallet. I advised Stephanie that I am a 100% sure I left my wallet and she assured me she will have the hotel manager double check and see who cleaned my room. I am really praying they find it. Update: so after writing this review I received a call from Daisy the hotel manager and she stated that herself and the housekeeping manager went to the room and found my wallet thank God. Daisy was so awesome and stated she would UPS my wallet free of charge and I received it today. I give the Peacock suites 5 stars on customer service alone! From the time I called to report that I left my wallet the entire staff was helpful and polite. This was the second time that my family stayed here and it will not be the last. I didn't get to choose this hotel, I actually just stayed here for 2 nights with friends who were staying here for a week. That being said, I definitely would not want to choose this hotel if I had a choice. It could be fine to some people, but I guess I have a bit higher standards for hotels. So the parking situation...it's a mandatory valet...no option of self park which is annoying but once you see the place you'll probably understand why...the valets have to park your car in a tetris style parking lot hah. They aren't very smart either...when checking in you need to park your car in front of the lobby area...we did that and when we were done checking in we were like ok, i'll pull the car to the valet (basically back up and pull in front)...the valet watched me do this and when i got to him said..oh checking in? you can just park in back...wow think you could of stopped me 2 minutes ago? oh well. We had the room with 2 doubles and living room with pull out sofa. I don't know if it was the way the room is laid out or what but it seemed tiny for 4 people. The living room with sofa was spacious, old tv, microwave and fridge...the sleeping area was cramped and tiny. There was a dresser and wardrobe but there was no room to place anyone's luggage. We ended up having to put our bags in the living room area. The group slept fine, however i'm a pretty light sleeper and I need some peace and quiet to sleep. I did not hear any hallway noise however in our room the AC was going and it was like a jet plane going all night. The toilets and showers are really loud if anyone is using it...in your room or neighboring rooms. The floors also creaked upstairs...so I could tell when the people upstairs were walking. Also, our window faced the small parking lot below with accompanying car noise. The bathroom was large however there was just 1 sink and no counter space for 4 people...did not unpack our bathroom bag. And like I said the toilet and shower were loud...you'd wake up if anyone uses it. The one nice thing was that when we arrived to our room there was a staff member coming down the hall with balloons and gave it to us...now I don't know if they did that on purpose or she happened to be coming by and wanted to give them to us...either way..nice gesture. There is also bfast provided however we never ended up using it. Bring a box...seems to be what everyone at the hotel does...brings a box to hoard food and go back to the room HAH. Oh and you had to pay for internet...lame! Housekeeping is good, however they start early! They came by 8:30-9ish each morning when we were still in the room and we had to tell them we'd be out soon. something to consider I guess...put the door lock on so you don't have anyone walk in on you. there is a shuttle that can take you to disneyland or it's an easy 10-minute or so walk...we just walked which was nice. Seemed to take just as long as people waiting for shuttles. Overall, this place was dated, the parking situation sucked, the rooms noisy and cramped, and it just felt bleh. However, it is close to the parks, provides bfast, and if you are a family that wants privacy this may be your only bet around. read more

I stayed here in October 2014 for a trip to Disneyland. Pros: -The room was very clean. I have a kid who is crawling, so cleanliness was my main concern. -There was a fridge, toaster and a microwave, plus real dishes with dish soap. We were able to make a simple breakfast in the morning which was really great. -The beds were comfy and the sheets were soft. -We walked to Disneyland. It was about a 20-25 minute walk (with all the kids in strollers- may take longer for little kids to walk it), but much easier than having to break down the stroller to get into a shuttle bus. Cons: -Walls are really thin. We could hear the baby next door cry, the people walking upstairs, and the kids playing in the pool. Noise doesn't bother me much, so it was fine, but if you need silence, I would recommend avoiding this place! -At check in, I was told cleaning service would be Tuesday. I asked if they could come Monday and they said that was fine. So Monday morning I threw all of the dirty towels on the floor only to come back Monday night to find the room wasn't cleaned. When I went to the front desk to get towels, there was no explanation or apology. I get the concept of saving money on daily cleaning, and I'm fine with it. I just want to know what to expect-- if it wasn't possible to change the cleaning day to Monday they should have said so. I stayed here last summer on vacay to DL....i thought it was okay. we didnt have any problems with the room & service. i booked this hotel because they had a good deal at the time we went. they also had a free shuttle that takes you back and forth which was nice, but we never used it since i thought it would be better to just rent a car to get around town from westminster to LA. things i liked: - complimentary newspaper every morning in front of your door (a plus) - clean room everyday - housekeeping doing their jobs...good. good. - continental breakfast w/ outdoor/balcony seating things i hated: - the pool - small & wack with lil annoying kids running around like theyve never seen water before. - valet wasnt necessary since everytime we rolled in & out, i always felt like i had to tip them. - the most annoying part is waiting for them to get your car when you're in a hurry to get somewhere, but the guys are busy with other guests getting their cars. why not just let us keep our damn keys and let us park & get out when we need to? we already paid for parking per day. this aint no ritz carlton! anyways. they were alright. we'll prob stay somewhere else next time. read more

Looking for a stand alone hotel while you're getting your Disney fix or just want to be near the beach? Look no further than Peacock Suites. There is a miniature kitchen with basic accessories in the living room partitioned with a sliding door that leads to the bedrooms. Near the heated pool and hot tub is a patio area if you so wish to have a BBQ. Also, don't forget about the gym. It's small but has everything you need to get your pump-on. There's also a gift shop inside which is a cheaper alternative than getting them else where. Peacock Suites is also within walking distance of local restaurants for your evening dining. We ate at Bubba Gumps and loved it! Plus, the beach is only 30 minutes away, with no traffic. read more

I work in customer service so I do hold others in my field at a higher standard and I can say I got that every day I was here. Plan to wait 15+ min for your car 4. No restaurant. Get delivery or walk 2 short blocks. *** 5. Management issue. I had the horror of listening to a man next door curse and hit his daughter (probably pre-teen). I recorded it. Told front desk who told management and i threatened to call the police. The manager said they would deal with it and I think they went up later but am not sure if they called the police or at least checked to see if the girl was ok afterward. The hotel was pretty decent. There were 4 of us and the room had 2 bed and a pull out bed so it worked nicely. They werent fancy or anything but it was fine. We were in town for the Blizzcon and were rarely at the hotel so it didnt matter. It was very cheap compared to any other place I found. I think it was 80 bucks a night for 4 people, that is quite good I think. The room wasnt big or anything but it was comfortable enough. They had some really good juice at the breakfast and the lobby was really cute. When we checked in they told us they would upgrade our room for free and when we got to the room it was the exact same room I had booked so I dont know what they were talking about. Shuttle to the airport was relatively cheap, 10 bucks each way? I cant remember but it was not bad. read more

Lovely hotel in Anaheim in very close proximity to Disneyland and area restaurants. We checked in very early in the morning and even still, the staff were quick and friendly. Our room had 2 queen beds with a separate room that had a fold out couch and a hideaway or Murphy bed. All the beds were comfortable and recently outfitted with memory foam mattresses. We had a small kitchenette area and tv's in each room. The continental breakfast was basic, but nice for a quick meal when heading to the park. The pool area looked clean and all the property was very well kept. I will stay here again if I am ever in Anaheim. read more

While this does have some good qualities, overall it's pretty old and out dated. Positives were the pool, hot tub, courteous and helpful check in and valet. Decent size rooms, just older style and size. Not a lot of outlets. No self parking which can be a little annoying when you don't want to valet your car every time you decide to use it. The service was amazing! I liked that all the employees went out of their way to treat you special. Great job! The accommodations were classy, modern, and new looking. Cons: They charge $10.50 per night to park your car...it is got to be the most annoying thing ever! I have never been charged for "mandatory" valet, but I understand why...they are limited on parking and they need to neatly park the cars to make room for everyone; so that no accidents happen. However, because they built with limited ground coverage, they make the customers pay for this...stupid if you ask me. The pool is nothing to write home about. read more

My husband and I stayed here for two nights when we were in town for a concert. He is a Shell Vacations member and pays monthly towards his membership, so we used his points to book the room. I was very disappointed in the quality of this hotel. First of all, it is extremely dated and could really use some remodeling. The pool area is pathetic. Our first night, we arrived very late and were looking forward to sleeping in the next day. Unfortunately, the plumbing is so LOUD that we were awakened around 6:00 a.m. when the neighbors started waking up and using their showers & toilets. It was seriously like a waterfall right behind the wall near our bed. We were unable to get a restful sleep either night because of this, which was a huge inconvenience, since we planned on having late nights and sleeping in. When we returned to our room after the concert the first night, we found that housekeeping hadn't done a thing. The bed was unmade and our towels were still on the floor. I guess since this is a "timeshare", they don't always clean the rooms, but it would have been nice to have some fresh towels. The final straw came when we discovered that my car had been vandalized while parked in the hotel's parking garage! The hotel requires guests to pay for valet parking each night, with the assurance that they have security patrolling the garage. Not only was my antenna topper stolen, but the top of the antenna itself was broken off! The woman at the front desk was sympathetic and refunded our valet parking fee, but the valet denied any responsibility. The only way I would stay here again would be if we decided to take our little boy to Disneyland, since it's so close. My husband is locked into paying for SVC monthly and we don't want to lose the points he's already paid for. Even then, I'm not sure we would stay at this hotel again. Great location for Disneyland (anyone who says it is too far to walk clearly doesn't walk much, though it does feel longer after a long day at DL). Staff were attentive and welcoming both at check in and welcome/tour desk. It was good to have a fridge to keep breakfast and drinks, but there is no sink which was kind of hard to wash dishes! They also allowed us an early check in (arriving about 1pm when check in is at 4) which was appreciated. Really nice suite for the price, would stay again if in the area. read more

Do not stay here. Small rooms. 4am construction across the street woke me up every day. I took a nap for 1 hr and they did not come to clean my room for the entire week. No apology from Jennifer at front desk. No help trying to get a clean room another day. read more

My room - fourth floor, two queens, a small cute living space, a kitchenette, tiny closet, and decent size bathroom. The hotel amenities - pool, laundry room, valet-only parking ($10/day), gym, ART right outside The hotel sidewalk, ATM, 7-11 right behind the hotel within walking distant, NO breakfast BUT they provided a list of restaurants that deliver, DISH satellite, one small elevator for floor 1-4 and a second elevator for floor 1-3, Wifi, and a nice sun deck. The hotel is less than half a mile away within walking distant but I rather take the ART. We were there for a family Disney vacation. The staffs are Very professional but beware of the "welcome packet" after you check in-it's Wyndham's side swipe in attempt to get you attend a seminar and sell you stuff. They don't offer breakfast but that's ok cuz we have a nice size kitchenette n we plan to eat at Disneyland anyway. They also don't change out your towels daily to save California drought problem and that doesn't bother us cuz we had more than enough towels in the bathroom. read more

Loved our stay at Peacock Suites! It's a mile from Disneyland and downtown Disney and is a half mile from other nice restaurants. We absolutely loved watching Disney's fireworks from the roof's sun deck. What a surprising treat! We also enjoyed grilling chicken on the stainless steel gas grills on the sun deck. Our suite was large and charming. Enjoyed playing pool in the game room. Central to Disney, LA, Hollywood and beaches. Wifi works well throughout the resort. I felt safe at Peacock Suites. Prior to our arrival, I was injured at the beach. When we arrived, I was limping and miserable. Six days after check in, Monique from the tours desk still remembered my injury and checked on me to see how my foot was healing. She, the managers and the staff (including the valets) were super friendly and seemed to genuinely care for the guests. Love this place and we hope to return! read more

I can say nothing untoward about our suite and the property- gorgeous and fun. The gift shop is a hidden gem for Disney stuff for great $ . The reason for 3 stars: we were checking in on 1 of the muggiest/hot days so far this summer - so check in isn't till 4pm - so we called and asked about early check in- nothing available then (cool) call back in awhile and check again. We did still nothing. So @ about 3:15 we decided to chance showing up - staff was great but our suite was not open...so we decided to explore a bit till 4 - regular every room check in time. At 4:15 or so we cruised back - dreaming of a/c & a bed to crash on - and STILL no room. We were asked to wait in the rec room area (outside ish - not cool by any means) 5:00 passes (I'm getting frustrated now) Oh and to add to the choice stay there is a vacation club that if full court press from jump. Starla was great and this is no reflection on her - we just were not happy with the check in - not till close to 6pm and we had plans to get ready for. The shuttle costs $5+ per day and as we left we got the $11/day parking fee for our car- fine print I guess. When we booked our anniversary weekend- they were excited to know the dates/how long ect....but then nothing! Not even a bottle of anything or flowers- just congrats @ late check in with apologies and smiles. Oh and the "rooftop" fireworks DON'T! can see the biggest ones and hear the rest. We had a great weekend - bumpy start but the gift shop ruled and the roof was quiet & breezy. read more

Fine for what it is--a crash pad for when you're exhausted after Disneyland. We showed up to check in late at night, having reserved a king. Unfortunately they had rented all of those rooms out and only had one room left--the "accessible" room. This normally wouldn't be a problem--however it wasn't truly an accessible room. We are not disabled, though I can clearly see that this room was an after thought, with awkward placement of things. Weird layout, very small. etc. All in all, it didn't have all of the amenities that we had booked for in the first place, which was quite frustrating. Our last night in the hotel I started to notice this...chirping. There was a broken outlet hidden behind an end table (HAZARD!), in which crickets have taken residence. CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP. I complained about the cricket, and they sent a guy up to look at it who said basically "There's nothing I can do. I could tape a towel over the outlet hole." Again, hazard. Let's please not do repairs near electricity with flammable things. We complained again, and they did move us rooms (to their credit). We were finally able to get some sleep. Unfortunately we were now in the room we should have been the whole time, so I saw what I had been missing! That was a bit of salt in the wound--I felt as though I had been bait and switched. I will not stay here again. For the price I just didn't get the service. read more

This is my first choice of hotels when I plan on taking a trip to Disneyland. It may appear a little far but I do not mind the 20 minute walk. The room is very affordable for the aesthetic. The staff always greets my party with positive vibes. Driving from San Francisco can really tear your energy down, but as soon as we walk through those glass doors to check in, we know we are close to the happiest place on earth. The room itself has a sliding door from the living/kitchen area to the bedroom. Perfect for a couple or even with a small familly. Note if you are staying here and driving, it is valet parking. read more

My husband I stayed here for 7 days while on our honeymoon. It's location was convenient enough for us to either walk or take a short drive to all the things we had planned. The rooms are nice and clean and have plenty of space. The fridge was bigger than most mini fridges, which was nice seeing as we had brought a lot of food with us to avoid eating out every night. They have dishes, a sink and a toaster- a cute little kitchenette. I only have 2 issues with this place. 1. The valet is mandatory and is $11/day plus tax. If you are going to mandate that cars be valet parked then it should be complimentary. I live in Vegas and the majority of resorts, suites, hotels, etc. either have comped valet parking or they provide a self-park option. I can't imagine how much money in tips the valet workers at the peacock suites are missing out on because of the charge. If you aren't going to make it free, or provide a self-park option, then you should have some sort of promotion where if a guest stays more than 3-5 days then they get complimentary valet. Just and idea. 2. I understand that Wyndham is a time share business, and they mean to sell the rooms, however; when a guest says they aren't interested it usually means just that. It doesn't mean call up to the room an hour later and ask if they're sure. Other than those 2 things, we really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't be opposed to staying here again. read more

I've stayed here 3 or 4 times now. I would have given it 5 stars for my previous stays but my current stay is by far my worst experience with this hotel. Part of their check in now includes visiting with a 2nd counter where they try to sign you up for a "breakfast" for one of mornings of your stay for a $75 Disney gift card in return. The "breakfast" is from 8:00-9:30 and they are very aggressive in trying to convince you to commit to it. I went through the whole process (knowing I wasn't going to participate) because I didn't want to be rude - until they asked me for a $20 deposit which I would have gotten back for checking in to the breakfast. They literally would have held my money hostage for me to show up for their hour and a half "breakfast". I know some people like doing these sort of things for the rewards but that is not how I wanted to spend 1.5 hours of my vacation. I also was seconds from missing my shuttle due to the length of the presentation... I finally told him I would think about it and got out of the conversation. Upon my return to the hotel later that evening I was hounded again. I had to complete my check in, and while I was in line, the same gentleman from earlier came up to me and whispered to me that he has something for me when I'm done checking in. When I was done, he walked us out started to continue the shpiel from earlier. I cut him off and nicely told him I was not interested. He seemed disappointed but gave me the booklet and told me I can still come if I change my mind. It was when I got the booklet that I noticed on the paper he had been filling out, one of the boxes he checked said it was a timeshare presentation. He never once mentioned the word timeshare to me, but it started to all make sense. The next morning, I got woken up by a phone call at 7:45 from an Anaheim phone number. I ignored it and got another call at 8:30 from the same number. I googled the number and it came up as Peacock Suites. This whole ordeal may be small to some people, but it was very annoying for me. I know it seems like I could have easily passed from the get go, but they never even gave me a chance. I would've had to cut him off. The rooms are still great for the price and the Disneyland shuttle is great, as there is only 1 stop in each direction before you get to your destination. I still recommend this place, but I really wish they didn't sneak attack their guests right off the bat with the timeshare ordeal. I'll be trying a different hotel next time. read more
