My now 5-year-old daughter has been attending Pine Tree since she was 2, and my younger daughter,…read morenow 3.5, also started when she was 2. Before choosing Pine Tree, I toured about five different schools because I wanted to make sure we found a place where my children would not only be safe, but also happy, supported, and able to thrive. As a parent, trusting someone else to care for your little ones is a huge decision--and Pine Tree made that decision so much easier. From the moment we toured the school, Ms. Perla made us feel incredibly welcomed and at ease. She was warm, transparent, and genuinely enthusiastic about the children, the staff, and the school's approach. We could immediately tell that this wasn't just a daycare--it was a nurturing learning environment built with heart. Ms. Perla and Ms. Michelle are hands-down the best ever. Their communication with parents is consistent, thoughtful, and reassuring, and they truly go above and beyond to make each child feel seen, safe, and loved. The teachers at Pine Tree foster a strong foundation not just academically, but emotionally and socially. We've seen so much growth in our daughters--from their language and problem-solving skills to their confidence and emotional regulation. The curriculum is age-appropriate and engaging, and they do an amazing job at balancing structure with play, creativity, and exploration. They also celebrate cultural events and individual milestones, which makes every child feel special and included. The school maintains a clean, safe, and joyful environment that radiates positivity. It's clear that the staff take pride in what they do, and that translates into the way the children flourish here. My daughters come home excited to tell us about their day--and that kind of enthusiasm says everything. We are incredibly grateful to have found Pine Tree Preschool. Highly recommend to any parent who's looking for a place where their child will be truly cared for, supported, and encouraged to grow. There's absolutely nothing negative to say--only gratitude for the amazing care and experiences our children have had here.

My son attended this preschool for two years. Initially, things were great when the previous…read moreadministrator was in charge, but once Ms. Amanda took over, everything started to go downhill. One of the biggest issues is the incredibly high teacher turnover. When we raised concerns about this, we were told they can't keep teachers due to low pay, which was very unsettling. My son, who is sensitive to change, had five different teachers within an eight-month period. This was far too much for a 3-year-old to handle, and it understandably affected his behavior. Instead of offering support to help him adjust, Ms. Amanda continually blamed us and labeled my son as a "problematic kid." She even told other teachers that my son might have a brain issue, which was both hurtful and completely inappropriate. After consulting with two psychologists and a pediatrician, all of them confirmed my son is perfectly normal, and they strongly recommended removing him from the school. Ms. Amanda also lied to us multiple times. She claimed that other parents were unhappy with my son attending the school, but after speaking with many of them directly, they completely denied this. She also said that teachers didn't want my son in their class, but when I talked to two of his teachers, they firmly rejected this claim. It was clear that Ms. Amanda was fabricating these stories to avoid addressing the real issues and to place blame on us instead of taking responsibility. Though there were a few wonderful teachers, like Mrs. Poei and Mrs. Yovana, the turnover rate in the 3-4 year old class and TK is alarming. Worse still, Ms. Amanda's attitude towards the children is deeply concerning. She expects complete obedience from students, likely because she struggles to manage difficult situations. Anytime a child so much as takes a toy from another, parents are required to sign a form, and this behavior is documented. This documentation was used against us when they suggested our son wasn't a good fit for the school. Also, many of the 5-star reviews for this preschool are written because parents are encouraged to leave positive reviews in exchange for a $50 discount. After leaving Pine Tree, I enrolled my son in a new school, and he is thriving. He loves his teacher, enjoys going to school, and it has become clear just how poor the experience at Pine Tree really was. If your child is active, sensitive to change, or doesn't fit a rigid mold, I would strongly advise against this school. Their rigid expectations and Ms. Amanda's harsh, untruthful, and unprofessional approach made for a terrible experience for our family

We've had such a wonderful experience at Hillsborough Preschool and feel so lucky to have found…read morethem. From the very beginning, the level of personalized care in the infant room has stood out. The teachers are incredibly responsive--always quick to reply to messages and consistently keeping us updated throughout the day. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing exactly how our daughter is doing. They've also been amazing partners in helping us navigate sleep. They worked closely with us on nap routines and played a huge role in helping our daughter learn to fall asleep independently--something we really appreciate. One of the things we value most is their focus on development. They are very intentional about working on milestones, starting with tummy time and rolling, then progressing to crawling, standing, and now waking. You can tell they truly pay attention to each child's growth and meet them where they are. The school has such a close-knit, welcoming community. Even teachers from the older classrooms know our daughter by name, which speaks volumes about the environment they've created. The director and owner are also very hands-on--they've both spent time in the infant room helping with care and know our daughter personally, which is something you don't see everywhere. Overall, it feels much more like a home than a typical daycare. The environment is warm, nurturing, and genuinely caring. Most importantly, our daughter is always smiling and happy when she's there--which says everything. We couldn't recommend Hillsborough Preschool more.

The entire staff and all the teachers are incredibly sweet, thoughtful, and responsive. You can tell they truly love what they do. What matters most to us is how they prioritize the mental, educational, and emotional well-being of the children, it's about nurturing the whole child here! Our daughter is absolutely obsessed! She loves it so much that she actually refuses to leave at pickup time and constantly asks if she can go to school on the weekends. As a parent, there is no better peace of mind than knowing your child feels that safe and happy. We trust the teachers implicitly. They also do a fantastic job of hosting various events that keep the kids busy, attentive, and most importantly, always learning through play and engagement. We are so grateful to be part of the Hillsborough Preschool family! Special shout out to Ms. Karina for her help with successfully potty training our little one and sending daily pictures and updates! We appreciate you so much!

We had a rough first experience with another care center when we first moved here, so we. moved her to Little Scholars after a few months at the other center. This child care center has been almost a family to us in the last 3 years when my daughter went there - every single teacher she's had, she has fond memories of (especially Ms. Toni, Ms. Sara, Ms. Rosa!). All the directors are amazing - and my daughter looks forward to going to "school" every single day! They have an amazing summer program in which they coordinate water slides, reptile visits, and other excursions. They organize egg hunts, make Mothers Day/Fathers Day crafts, have a fun Christmas performance, create memorable send-off promotion ceremony - I truly cannot believe all these teachers do to make the year so memorable. The facility is clean, bright and airy - they have a great indoor "play area" when it's cold/rainy outside. The curriculum for Pre-K is pretty spot on - my daughter was ready to enter Kinder and was definitely ahead of the pack when joining. I also really love the every day photos and Brightwheel updates they make on what she's eating, videos, photos, fun daily moments. I simply cannot say enough good things about this center! I would highly recommend!

My now 15 month old has moved into the toddler room with Ms. Britney. She walks into the class and as soon as she hears Ms. Britney call her name, she smiles and walks in even faster to find her. My daughter also really loves the director, Ms. Taryn, and gets so excited to see her. My oldest continues to thrive in Preschool with Ms. Rosa and occasionally, Ms. Toni. They are her favorites and always talk about them and what they teach her. My heart is filled with gratitude for Debbie, the owner, and the whole Little Scholars family. Thank you!

They have clear communication on everything that's going on with the center (events, day to day activities, health checks, center closures) and you're given notice well in advance. Payment, check in/out, and communication are all done through Brightwheel (an app) and it's such a smooth process. Even though it's a bit modern, my in-laws (that are a bit older and have a harder time with technology) are still able use the app to pick up my daughter and enjoy the occasional pictures and videos that are sent through there. My daughter doesn't really take to strangers well. She did have an adjustment period but has soon blossomed in the infant classroom and loves her teachers. The teachers are caring and informative and we are so pleased with the kind of care they provide our daughter. And we know she's not the easiest baby. They have been able to help our child make huge progress with nap time and even with playing with other kids. I truly feel her personality has blossomed due to the work the infant room teachers put into our daughter. She always comes home happy from the day. The infant room itself (as well as the other rooms we toured in the facility) are also clean and does not have a smell. We toured other facilities where the smell was so strong it stayed with me the rest of the day and was actually one of the deciding factors in choosing CCs. My daughter also has an egg and milk allergy. They assigned high chair specifically for her and are always on the look out for any reactions from food. She recently outgrew her milk allergy but not the egg. During the recent mother's day Muffins with Mom's event, they provided a special vegan muffin for her so she can enjoy the event with me. The teacher running the event wasn't my daughter's regular teacher, but she recognized my daughter anyway and knew to offer me the vegan muffin. I was so touched by this gesture. We haven't had experience with the older classrooms, but have toured them and are rest assured my daughter will grow up well cared for and well educated here at CCs. We are excited for her to learn and grow here. We are so pleased with our experience that we've already reserved our spot for our next baby due in a few months. We highly recommend this daycare center and will recommend it to anyone look for care in the area.
