Turns out that this huge company has had to outsource some of its customer service scheduling tasking to a third party organization that is experiencing some AI glitches. My original recent Yelp review triggered management into action and all my concerns have been resolved to my 100% satisfaction. They canceled on me 3 times in a row. I rearranged my schedule and day of they cancel last minute by sending me a text to reschedule. This is extremely uncaring and unprofessional. I called to find out what's going on and the receptionist acted like a robot and kept saying she could reschedule my appointment. Ugh!!! This company is completely unreliable. Stay away!!! read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! The salesman set my expectations high and I had a new AC and furnace installed last year. The installation crew did not clean up after themselves, they dripped glue everywhere, and my entire basement was vibrating every time the unit kicked on. It took over 25 phone calls to have everything corrected (basically a part time job I never wanted) and 3 visits from the county before I passed inspection (over 3.5 months). I paid way too much money to be treated the way I was treated. Unfortunately, I also had their "peak advantage club membership" and they continuously cancelled on me, despite promising high priority scheduling. They do not respect your time and their communication is awful. Save yourself a headache and steer clear! read more

HIGHLY DO NOT recommend this company. I'm at the point where I want them to come uninstall all their stuff, so I never have to deal with them again. To start from the beginning, our A/C went out so we were desperate for a new system. Unfortunately, we came across this company. They were actually very professional when coming out and mapping our house to see what size of unit was needed for our home. However, when it came down to the sale, I had no idea how "car-salesy" HVAC systems are. They give you a crazy price and hope you dont say anything, but "ok, we need it so lets do it". However, you can negotiate price, ask for discounts etc. The salesman even pulled the old trick of "I cant do that, but I'll call my manager and ask." And of course if we agreed to purchase today, we got an extra 2 grand off. That was the first thing that didnt feel right. Next thing, we had a QuietCool attic fan installation set for that coming Monday, so I called off work. Monday comes, no text/call about an appt window. I call and they say nothing was scheduled. GREAT. We rescheduled. When it was finally installed, there were issues. I was sold on the fact that it was going to be quiet and that I could program it to turn on automatically. I didnt want to have to do it manually. Well, it sounds like a jet turbine and it my model actually cant be programmed. Theyre "supposed" to come out with that feature later this year. GREAT. The City electrical and mechanical inspector was scheduled without asking if we'd be home, so luckily we were for the electrical, but we missed the mechanical. I had to keep asking about the status of our loan change since we removed an item called Aeroseal (almost $4k). I told our sales rep about it on June 30th and never got an update about until I got frustrated and texted him on July 17th. Somehow I received an answer in an hour of my text. The communication is horrible with this company. You'd think when you spend $15k-$20k with a company theyd see everything was perfect all the way through. Even now as I type this I remembered I asked my sales rep a couple days ago if he could tell me if my refund check was mailed out yet. Still havent heard back. What a shocker. I called this Monday to make 3 appointments for today(Friday). I talked to Dispatch and scheduled time for a thermostat installation, city electrical inspector, and city mechanical inspector. Here it is Friday, no calls/texts about an appointment window. Mechanical inspector showed up, but said he didnt see any appointment for an electrical inspection. Of course I decide to reluctantly call Peak Home to ask. What a surprise, nothing is scheduled for the Thermostat or city electrical inspector. (*By the way, I asked our sales rep on July 20th to set up an appt for the thermostat installation. Never received a call so I had to call Monday the 27th to set it up myself.) This company really failed us. My parents bought a new HVAC system a month after us and I told them stay clear of Peak Home. I will say the installers were all very good and professional. Especially the electrician. But as much as I actually liked the sales rep as a person, he let us down pretty good. Horrible communication and follow up. I even asked him if he is the person I should be contacting. He didn't say anything. And their dispatch department needs a complete overhaul. On a side note, lol, I remember asking our sales rep about these other companies offering a free furnace with purchase of A/C and if Peak Home does anything like that. He said something along the lines of companies like that offer free stuff because they cant provide the kind of installation and customer service as Peak Home. LMAO. Horrible prices. Overcharged by a ton. They charged 4 times what they should have for a blower motor only to find out it wasn't the blower motor that was the problem. They refuse to do anything to make that right. They tried to charge $1600 to change some smoke detectors. The plumber drained the hot water heater into my grass killing a portion of the grass when he should have put the hose into the rocks. I had to have him move it when I noticed. I will never use this company again. read more

Peak Home Performance failed the mechanical inspection with Pikes Peak Regional and did not fix the problem even though I paid for them to ensure the inspection electrical and mechanical inspections were complete. I have been run around through 20!different people in the company to fix the problem and they are not addressing the issue. The next step is legal action to recoup the cost and return the product that I purchased. read more

Super friendly service. That is where the service ends. Tech came out to do an estimate. Two days later I noticed my A/C wasn't working. I went downstairs and checked the unit. All covers were left off and it was switched off. Thankfully I figured out that the covers have to been on for the system to work properly. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I had the absolute worst experience with Peak Home Performance, and I strongly caution anyone considering doing business with this company. On July 25, 2025, they performed work at my home and charged me an outrageous $1,125.90 for a simple repair that, at market rate, should have cost $350-$600 at most. Here's the breakdown of their scam pricing: $975 for a ¾″ vacuum breaker that costs $90-$170 at Home Depot. $276 for three copper fittings that retail for $3-$10 each. That's no more than $30 total, yet they charged almost 10x the real cost. This was blatant price gouging. No prior approval was given for charges this inflated, and when I disputed it with clear evidence of standard pricing and labor costs, I was completely ignored for 3 weeks. To make matters worse, their labor charges are equally unjustifiable. Industry standard in Colorado Springs is $85-$100/hour, with this type of job taking 2-3 hours maximum. Instead, Peak Home Services inflated the bill far beyond reason. Afterward, I had another plumber come out to review their work, and he confirmed what I suspected: they saw that I was a woman and assumed I wouldn't know the difference, so they took advantage of me. This is predatory, discriminatory, and disgusting behavior. I formally requested a reimbursement of at least $525.90 to bring the invoice in line with fair market pricing -- and was met with silence. This company preys on people, especially women, who they assume won't question their outrageous markups. It's dishonest, unethical, and should be investigated. I will be filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Colorado Attorney General's Office for Consumer Protection. Peak Home Performance is nothing but a rip-off operation. Save yourself the money, the time, and the frustration. This company is not trustworthy and does not deserve your business. read more

Replacing A water Regulator, I called 3 days in a row to speak with someone about the price they charged. They charge over 900.00 dollars to replace the unit. I was informed they had to mark up the the price of the water regulator, due to they had to cover the warranty. The price they charged was approximately 360 dollars, the rest went for labor. This to me was being over charged. According to the internet, $300 to $650 The estimated cost to replace a water regulator in your home in Colorado Springs, CO typically ranges from $300 to $650, including labor and materials. On average, homeowners pay around $400, with most spending between $200 and $700. Strongly recommend looking elsewhere. They are priced higher than competitors. We signed up for an A/C tuneup at Home Deport, and Peak Home has the Home Depot contract. So I was expecting quality given Home Depot's trust in them. The experience devolved into them replacing a few furnace exhaust pipes for $700+. We then needed to replace the entire A/C so we got a quote from Peak Home. They were expensive compared to competition, and the company that we went with ended up replacing the furnace exhaust free of charge because it wasn't to code. Honestly, their communication, knowledge, and expertise are substandard. Don't fall for the Home Depot contract pitch. If you're in the Denver area, go with Absolute! read more

At first I was impressed by the sales person was very good at what he did and explaining everything up front. But the first installers did a sloppy job . Their boss and another helper came back out to finish the job cause it was a 2 day job getting out units out and new units in and installed properly. First time rating was like a 2 or 3 but when the second team came out and did everything that was explained to me by the sales person the foreman made sure I was satisfied with the work that was done. Then the last tech came out to make sure AC was ready to be used this summer due to I had system installed in winter time my furnace was 56 years old lol but coat was about avg and the kicker 15 yrs parts and labor and lifetime on the heater exchange was a true selling point. So I'm very happy now that all the work is done give them a rating of 4.5 now. Thank you for all you did making sure I was a satisfied customer. read more

Terrible customer service. Second year in a row service has been cancelled due to a sickness. Just seems odd that it occurs back to back years for the same reason. I will go with another company just like last year. I believe it has more to do with them not wanting to honor the special rate I got through the Home Depot. if you are looking to purchase a generator from Peak Performance, think twice. We paid $27,000 for a Generac generator that was installed in mid December. It has never worked from day one when they tested it. They are doing nothing to help get us a new one installed and saying it is a warranty issue. "Generac" has done nothing after many many phone calls. It has been over a month. I think things woul be very different if Peak did not have their money. My name is Edith, my new furnace was installed December 13, 2024. Peak Performance was hired from a promotion for a cleaning. I had no idea how serious my furnace condition was in until Tom brought it to my attention by showing me how the burners were firing wrong and he was very concern about the emission that it might be admitting. So Tom also put a carbon detector and sure enough it did register carbon. He was so concern he spoke to his manager Nick regarding my situation and his concern. I owed a ton of gratitude to these two individuals for their kindness and concern; in my minds eye they are both angles in disguise. I couldn't have done it without their intervention. I will never forget these two individuals. The service installation was also professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend this company. You can"t go wrong!!! Paid over $16k for the hvac system we purchased, had a problem w a water pump a couple years after it was installed and had water coming through the ceiling. Callled them thinking they would honor the warranty on their work, which they didnt. To add insult to injury, the tech they sent said you should have a pan under the unit. Asked if there was supposed to be one, why didnt they install one. Bottom line they wanted 2000 to fix the pump problem. Skip ahead a few months and the smart thermostat dies because it isnt getting power. Brought out another hvac company and they determined something w the breaker was wrong. We called on a Saturday because we had electrical issues with several kitchen outlets. We were told the master electrician would call to go over everything prior to a technician coming out. The master electrician never called and then the technician showed up and was literally in the house for 30 seconds and pressed a button and we were charged $178 which was the discounted rate from the original quote of $210. We probably could have avoided the service call all together if the master electrician would have called and maybe asked us to try a couple basic things. Not happy with the "discounted" rate for a 30 second service call. I understand that their time has to be compensated but come on!! Will not recommend this company to anyone! read more

3 weeks later and they have replaced our AC with a 3 1/2 ton and put in ANOTHER return air in the basement. (Originally recommended and installed a 3 Ton) It still won't get cooler than 76* even with running all day long. They are trying to fix but it's not quite there. Needed an AC tuneup. Scheduled two appointments, both a no show. Initially contacted at home depot, where they scheduled an appointment a week out at 10am. After a no-show I called to get help and they suggested the home depot sales people couldn't schedule appointments. Ok, sure. Scheduled another appointment via phone for the next week. Again a no show. When I called in they stated that "The appointment was cancelled." I don't know by who, and noone called me to let me know. The good news, they can schedule my appointment by the first week of September. Kinda sad given that the original appointment was 7/11/2023. I told them pass. I get it, things are kinda tough for businesses these days. I'm flexible. At least notify me when you can't make the appointment, or tell me right off you don't want to do it. read more

Paid $7500 for a new furnace for a 2nd home in Florissant. They set the thermostat at 75 degrees to without checking the propane level. When visiting the home, a strong smell of gas was encountered and the tank was completely empty. Their inspector failed to inform me of this. They have denied any responsibility for their negligent actions. absolutely do not use this company under any circumstances, they are thieves and liars. read more

We had Peak Home Performance come out to clean/ tune up our furnace. In the process. Jacob, our service rep, noted our humidifier was not working. He checked and felt we needed a new solenoid for the unit. Over the next few weeks we did notice thar our house seemed to be drier. I called them back and requested he come out and replace the solenoid. Honeywell, the manufacturer had changed the design slightly and the replacement was going to take some jeryrigging to make it work. Jacob said he could buy a few parts to make it work but actually took our solenoid apart and found a very small filter which was clogged. He cleaned this and reinserted the old solenoid and it worked fine! Best part is he did not charge anything- not even a trip charge. A truly honest service man and reputable company. I strongly recommend Peak Home Performance as a very reliable and truly trust worthy company to deal with for your home HVAC needs! read more

(Negative Stars isn't an option) This company installed a Rheem Water Heater in my home 8 months ago. The Water Heater has a faulty gas valve. Peak Performance is no longer in the plumbing business, but has refused to at least send some one over or offer a credit for us to get this taken care of, and they were quite rude. Every plumber I've called has the exact same response, Peak Performance installed a water heater that has a faulty part and now is refusing to take responsibility. This company's customers service is terrible, and so is their sense of responsibility to their customers. read more

Josh and Christian did an outstanding job! Our furnace went out in the morning just when a snowstorm was coming that evening. Hard to get anyone to come out here, 27 miles SW of Canon City. They came the same day, and all the way from Colorado Springs. Because they had to first come and diagnose the problem, and after that bring a new furnace out here, they could not start the install until mid-afternoon. They stayed until it was finished, at 7:45 PM, way beyond the call of duty. They said they wanted us to be warm when the snow flies. Josh and Christian are highly skilled and very professional. They did not cut any corners. They took the time to do the job right, despite how late it got for them. We highly appreciate what they did, and we highly recommend them! read more

Peak Home Performance just completed a multi-zone mini-split (ductless air conditioning) installation for us, and we are very happy with the result.  Our project was notably long and complex.  Most mini-split installations can be completed in one day, but our job took three days. One reason that our job took so long was that it involved routing gas lines and a dryer duct.  Peak Home Performance had the necessary breadth of knowledge and experience to cover these parts of the job as well as installing the mini-splits.  Another issue was that our house is nearly 100 years old, and has many design quirks that made the mini-split installation difficult.  Fortunately, the Peak installation team was able to perform the necessary design engineering on-the-fly, creating clever, robust solutions to those problems. Shaun Harney at Peak created the initial project quote for our job, and he gave us great confidence in Peak's ability to complete the work.  He has extensive HVAC field installation experience himself, which allowed him to expertly address all of the issues we raised.  His attention to detail was also a strength.  For example, he noted that the condensation pump for the head units can be annoyingly noisy in bedrooms, and he took steps to move those pumps to locations which would mask the noise. The installation team was lead by Francisco Panelo, who was professional and competent.  His work ethic and commitment to a robust and attractive installation were very helpful.  He even expressed willingness to work on our project on Saturday, if necessary, to get the job done.  One clever insight he provided was to use an air vent in our boiler room as a port for routing one of the line sets.  He did much of the work himself, personally, though Matthew who was his primary assistant for the job, also did excellent work.  Together they made a great team. We heartily endorse Peak Home Performance as a reliable source of skilled, efficient installers of HVAC systems.  They provided a very competitive bid, were always on time, and responded to every concern and issue that we raised, promptly and effectively.  We will certainly plan to reach out to them any time we have any HVAC service or installation problem in the future. read more

Peak home performance has now completed two major and very complicated projects on our house. The first was a complete ducting of the main part of our house and adding forced heat. They also serviced and replaced our other furnace. A few months later we contacted them for adding air conditioning to the house. During all of our projects they have been timely, courteous and extremely well priced. We had so many contractors disregard our request for quotes but they priced the work for us and honored the quotes. Not only was the dispatch very helpful with open communication, their technicians were always polite and dedicated to getting the job done. After completion of all of this work they even sent us a massive gift basket! Amazing customer service and concern for their customers. We highly recommend peak home performance!! read more

This company is a rip off, made an appointment with a kid at Home Depot for furnace quote. Good salesman said they would do this and that, charged an extra $500 to redo the cross over under the house. They charged over $6000 to install a $2000 furnace, failed inspection (which took me over a month to get a response for). Didn't do the work the sales man said they would. Crossover was not tinned out like agreed upon, and over all poor quality work. Finally got them to come out and fix inspection issue, they re-worked the cross over which was still not acceptable. Left review on their website, owner said he would have office contact me, emailed him pictures and additional information I think that was two months ago and still nothing. I just spent the last two days and more money fixing the cross-over after I found that it wasn't even completely attached to one side of the house when I was doing some pipe insulation to get ready for winter. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY and if you do get everything in writing before you make a commitment and research the prices on what they want to install. Home Depot should be ashamed they use a company like this. read more
