He could have taken advantage of the fact that I knew nothing and made up something to overcharge me, but he didn't. Turns out the AC unit needed to be replaced and he was upfront with me about my options and cost and was ultimately able to work on replacing the whole unit the following weekend (on a Saturday at that!). I was able to discuss my needs, compare costs and get exactly what I needed for less. They have even helped me to fix my old heating unit (since it was no longer installed and easy to attend to) and install it into my shop. This was at no cost. My family (parents and now me) have been using them for at least 15 years. They replaced the unit in a house my parents were selling. Replaced the unit in their (not so) new house after a few years. Continue to service the later unit. My personal experience with Gee has also found them trustworthy. They keep nursing along the unit in a rental properly that has a slow leak in it. Never try to upsale me, they show up when they say they will, are usually available for service that day if tenant calls and says unit isn't working right. This is a relief to me being too far away to handle things myself.

Horrible business model now by current management !! System went down and not cooling after having checkup with purchased maintenance agreement 3 Months prior , nothing said by technician. Called them to come out and they had nothing open for 4 days ?? Even after being a customer with a maintenance agreement over 30 years ! Had to get someone out because a baby was in the house . Another company found the problem of a faulty part which was under warranty, also found that the filter was not the right size and this impeded air flow causing the system to freeze up and pop leaks. They fixed the problem . I furnished Gee with pictures, videos and written explanations but they WOULD NOT honor the warranty . They stated, "How could they trust what had been done?" They offered to send their technician out to inspect the problem. well when it's fixed there isn't a problem. I did not expect a full refund that included labor but did request one that included bad parts. I was told that this is not how to run a business and they could not do that. After being a business owner for 35 years I do know that you need to ALWAYS do the right thing. It's not always economical but you have to keep your integrity. Well this is their business model .... System breaks down (after the installed new 3 years prior), have to go for days with out it working, you are forced to use other, then they won't reimburse even though you have a 10 year warranty and documentation because another company had to do the work. They have done this with so many other customers ! It makes me SO SAD that they are using the Gee name when Joe and Tim would have never done this !! They had integrity and these crooks have NONE!! We had an issue with our irrigation pump. Midway Electric, who we bought the pump from 4 years…read moreearlier came out on 8/26 and determined the pump needed repair. Over the next 3 weeks we have to repeatedly call them to get a status on our repair. Each time we were told "they'll be out there another day or two." Which didn't happen. On 9/19, they came out to reinstall the pump. The pump still didn't work because they had misdiagnosed the problem, and they again took it back to their shop. On 9/24, they were back out saying the problem was actually a value separate from the motor. Finally, this time the pump was fixed. When I got the billed we were charged for 4 labor charges between $250-$300 each. When I contacted the office and said that part of the problem was their misdiagnosis of the problem, they took no responsibility for their part and said the bill was correct based upon the work they did. I would not recommend that Midway Electric be used for the purchase or repair for any electric motor issues.
