Working with Zap was an absolute joy. Competitive prices, A/C installation THE NEXT DAY. Great installation experience. But here's where they went above and beyond. Three months after installation, Zap called and informed my that it was time for my quarterly maintenance appointment. Wait, what? How much will that cost me? NOTHING. They arrived on time and spent over an hour and discovered that mice were eating the wire connecting the condenser and the air handler. They replaced it without question even though that was not part of their warranty. As a contractor who has dealt with hundreds of subcontractors, they are the top .001%. ZAP cooling and heating is by far a five star company. I had the honor in pleasure of having David, the HVAC technician, do his semi annual inspection of my unit. David went through a 28 inspection process and found my Freon was over its limit in capacity interfering with the cooling process. David readily fixed the issue and then went on to clean my AC coils with a detergent and rinsed by hose. Of all the local companies I have dealt with in the past Zap is by far the Best business to work with for all of your needs. Called ZAP for service as my heat stopped working. Tech came out and looked at the system, did nothing, just looked. He said parts were needed and the office would send me an estimate and charged me $89.00. I rec'd the estimate the next day for over $2100.00. I called another company for a second opinion. They came out and within 15 minutes had the system up and running and charged me $125.00. What a waste of $89.00!! Everyone should think twice before call ZAP for anything!! read more

The technician (Nick) diagnosed our HVAC problem on Monday, and by the end of day on Tuesday, we had a brand new system installed. Although it wasn't our initial intent to replace the entire system, the previous one was aged and riff with problems. The staff at ZAP was courteous, from the office staff (Hannah) to the diagnostic and installation technicians. I had called the office with question regarding the service I received and was told that the person who could answer that question was in a meeting but will call me back after the meeting. It was almost 5pm and then after 6 and I figured that he'd call me back the next day. He ended up calling me back close to 6:30 on his way home which didn't really surprise (because they've done that before) me and he had the answer I needed. I also purchased a mini-split in June from this company for a small office we set up for my wife. The unit works great! Robbie did a great job installing and answering any questions I had. Robbie also found a six foot black snake up on the side yard. Robbie then proceeded to move it further away from the house and most importantly didn't tell my wife what he had found. I called ZAP because my heat furnace would not come on. A secure tech went to my house to check it and called me at work to say that the exhaust fan was broken and needed replacing. Cost $650 plus on back order so it would be a month. Said a new furnace would be $3200. He said it want under warranty even though the same company replaced a part in it 2 years ago and it was under warranty. Could find no record of that transaction. So I called another HVAC repair service in Cleveland, their tech went out, said the fan was stuck( which he said happens frequently when a unit sits without being used) and got it running perfectly. Only paid a service call fee. I could have spent 650-3200 for repair of a stuck fan motor. I will not use them again. I have used them in the past and had good experiences. But this was way over the top. I may not be an HVAC expert but I can see a rip-off a mile away. BUYER BEWARE. And by the way...I received an invoice for an $85 diagnostic fee and $30 for a medium shipping charge(????). I paid the $85 but not a shipping charge lol. For this point forward I will be using PEAK HEATING AND AIR. and never ZAP again read more

Zap installed the HVAC equipment at my house several years ago. I was very satisfied with that purchase. The price was fair and the installation service was professional and prompt. Over the years they have made service calls as needed. Typically I receive same day service. Yesterday I called in the morning because the heat would not turn on. They came to the house early that afternoon and diagnosed the problem which required replacement parts covered by the warranty, but needed to be ordered. The technician made sure to get my system to heat until he could return to make the warranty repairs. I highly recommend Zap. read more

Our A/C went out and I sent a request via their website Saturday night. Sunday morning they called me and said they would be out. We ended up having to get a new indoor unit.
