There you can pick where in the room you will be standing as the spots are painted on the ceiling. A bunch of us decided to take a lower body class so I was preparing to just do a bunch of lunges and hurting... lol The class started and the music began. The instructor took us through a warm up routine and then began to explain all the stations. There were 5-6 stations and we were to rotate between them. Yes, lounges were on the menu! Man, I was getting my butt kicked! each station had certain movements that focused on a certain body part and yes, I was sweating and crying lol. This lasted for about 45 minutes, once we were done with the stations twice, we rolled into a cool down period and eventually the class ended. What I liked about the class is that there was constant movement and you didn't get board with the movement. If I kept going to this class I know I would be in waaay better shape than I am but unfortunately, I don't live in town. I would try it out if you are visiting of living there. Its not too huge and intimate enough that you aren't lost in the crowd.

It was easy to schedule, and the front desk person was friendly while giving me a tour. Isometric classes are about 40 minutes, but the cardio classes (yes, there are bikes and rowers IN the sauna pods) are only 15 minutes. The website says that is because they are basically twice as effective a room-temperature class, so you can do one sauna class in half the usual time. I did an isometric class, so I can't speak to the cardio experience, but I have never sweat more, not even in hot yoga. The provided mat and towel did their job, though, and it wasn't slippery at all. You reserve a time in a particular pod, and pick a specific pre-recorded class. The iso classes seemed to be one-person-per-pod as I walked by, but the cardio pods each had 3 bikes or 3 rowers in there, so you could be with other people. I could definitely feel my muscles burning, even though the exercises were slow and with minimal weight. I followed the instructions and drank a ton of water the rest of the day, but I did feel very good afterwards. Energized yet calm at the same time. Maybe I really did sweat out all of the negative vibes for the day (*shrugs*). I was happy to see a traditional free weights area with rack, so you could do extra exercises if you wanted to. The gym is 24 hours (not staffed the whole time, but members have access), which is definitely a nice perk, and the price is really reasonable (only $60/month for a basic membership). There are gyms with fewer amenities that charge that much, and this place was super nice. I would definitely go again and try a different workout, and would even consider this as a primary gym membership option.

I'm updating my review, and upgrading to five stars, in light of my six months as a very active -…read moreand very satisfied - member. This is a small fitness center which specializes in sauna workouts. Most of the space in this gym consists of actual saunas (although the weight-training area is quite well-appointed). There are two types of workout sessions that can go on in the saunas: isometric workouts like yoga and Pilates ("Hot Yoga", "Hot Warrior", etc.), and cardio workouts like exercise bike routines and rowing machine routines ("Hot Cycle", "Hot Thunder", etc.). Each sauna has a monitor with a virtual fitness instructor coaching you through a specific, well thought out session. Because these workout sessions are in for-real-hot saunas, they are INTENSE. But also for that reason, they are shorter than a normal comparable workout. You get more workout in less time, and the heat negates the need for extended pre-workout stretches. This is literally the only gym membership that has ever worked for me. I have visibly lost weight and my overall health and energy level have improved dramatically. Every other time I've tried a workout regime, it was always tempting to find excuses not to do it. But I am always excited for my Hotworx sessions. I look forward to my scheduled sessions and I always feel energized afterward. (Maybe not RIGHT afterward because at the end of the session I am an absolute mess... but that's how I know I'm doing it right!) These workouts are challenging, every time, but they are just doable enough that I know I'll be able to get through it. And there are modifications you can make to fit your abilities for each program, so if it seems impossible, make an adjustment that works for you. I have more details in my original review, and also I've left several tips in that section of the app. But after six months and probably about a hundred sessions, I can attest that Hotworx delivers on its promise, and I am a healthier and happier person than I was six months ago.

Upon entry you need to trek across the gym and downstairs to the locker rooms. Downstairs is also where you will find the basketball and pickleball courts, as well as the free weights. Upstairs are the cable machines and cardio equipment. The locker room is kind of nasty. Not well kept and often dirty. The dry sauna is absolutely disgusting. I would strongly suggest wearing feet coverings of some sort as I don't think the floors have been cleaned in months. I come to this club often as it is close but it is somewhat disappointing given the extremely high club dues.

I'll tell you why I think this place is great: PARKING: They have big parking available on-site. Although on the times when I go due to offered class/instructor at 10am M-F, the parking is pretty full. There are signs around other businesses that says "no Life Time parking allowed." But after noon, there are a lot of spaces available. AMENITIES: - Life Cafe - Sauna & hot tub - Life Spa salon - Personal Trainer - Classes - Kids club - Outdoor pool and tennis court - and more... CLEANLINESS: At Life Time Fitness, they offer hand towels and full size bath towels so you don't have to bring in your own. There are hampers throughout the building and you can drop off your dirty towel when you are done. Lockers are clean. Showers are a hit or miss depending the time - morning to early afternoon is clean; but evening, you might see other gym members loose hair in the drain, but I see housekeeping constantly present to maintain the area. I did use their weight machines upstairs and noticed some gym members don't wipe down the equipment. There are sprays and towels available. CLASSES: I mainly attend yoga classes and the studio is kept nice and clean. Numbers on the floor is easy to see. SERVICES: The front desk is welcoming and greets you when you arrive and leave. The instructors are friendly, knowledgeable, and knows you by name. The instructors are helpful if you forgot to RSVP a space and will help you find a spot in class. I booked a massage appointment once at their Life Spa and the masseuse was professional and friendly. The only downside was the pricing. Overall, it is a good place to go work out.
