I normally have Vivian do my nails however another young lady did my pedicure and I had her continue even though she cut my toe cuticles. Ok accidents happen. I decided to let her finish my shellac and she cut all the skin off my middle finger with the machine. The manicurist next to her had the audacity to laugh and I told her I didn't see a damn thing funny. I will never go back. Vivian asked me what happened as I was walking out the door I told her. I've been getting my nails done at Pearl for about 6 months now. I have acrylics with shellac and they have always done a great job with fills. They have every color under the sun and very good quality polish. I never make an appointment and always walk in, and maybe have had to wait 15 minutes at the most. Their techs are solid, they are all experienced and know what they're doing. Only one time have I been slightly cut by the file tool, and it wasn't really a cut, just a small abrasion. I have a serious love hate relationship with this place. Love the cleanliness and the shellac manicures/spa pedicures. Their shellac lasts me a good 2 weeks before chipping which is awesome. The last time I went may be my last for a pedicure at least. They set you up in a chair then turn the water on. Now I'm not one to complain about hot water but this water was super hot. So when they asked if the water was okay I said it's a bit hot. So the lady continued to shove my feet down into the hot water and said you'll get used to it. It finally cooled down after a few minutes (or me "getting used to it") and when I went to take my feet out they were bright red all the way up to the water level. The lady who did my toes was even shocked by how red my feet were. Watch out for the loud lady with the short hair. Everyone else has been great. read more

Bottom line, this is the best nail salon in Puyallup, hands down (no pun intended. Ok perhaps a little intended). I have been going to this salon for several years and no matter who does my nails they are perfect, last, and I always get compliments. They ladies here are really great! They have several people working and lots of chairs to accommodate the customers. I've been going here for a few months with friends and I always recommend it. They have three different types of pedicures you can choose from ranging from $22-45 or so in price. They are great at shellac manicures ($30 and up), they also have the powder dip to help strengthen your natural nails (which I love). I've also gotten acrylic nails and they are great at not over buffing your nails. I just have to tell them before they get started that I have thin nails and they will take their time to make sure they don't hurt my nail beds for have my nails soak longer to remove the shellac. Some of the ladies are definitely better at nail designs than others but don't expect to have Pinterest level art designs on your nails every time! Hana and Vivian are two of my favorite gals to go to. There is one male who I've seen work there and he does a fantastic job too. read more

A young girl did my pedicure, she forgot check the water temperature before I sat down so it burned me a lil bit, which was okay I mean she apologized , I'm forgiving enough, what I am giving feedback on tho is that my entire pedicure from then on out was her asking if the rocks were too hot???the towels too hot? Today I went in to get a shellac fill (on a set I got at a different salon) I didn't make an appointment and when I walked in I was warmly greeted by multiple women, despite how busy they were which was nice! Came here to have a relaxing experience, well that is not what I got. They had me sit with my nails wrapped in acetone for over an hour bouncing me around from nail tech to nail tech. I've been coming here for 6 years now and out of all the nail salons in this area; this is the only one that gives me a consistent outcome. All the employees are so sweet and work hard to give you the nails you want, and if there's any issue, they fix it immediately. Started coming to this nail salon when I moved out here about 2 years ago and I was really happy with my nail lady since I came from a different state I thought it would be hard to find a good place that does nails. Everything was ok while the moments laste. A lady name twin used to do my nails all the time best customer service ever! I started to get my nails done by yen she is like the boss I believe. She was really nice at her job until her rude attitude came along! I've never felt so uncomfortable at a nail salon. I just got my nails done about 2 weeks ago and got a brand new set. I noticed she was in a bad mood and did my design half a** and my nails looked horrible. I didn't say anything because the shop was really busy and she was in a rush and I figured I would go the next day and tell her to fix them. I go the next day not only did I mention to her my new set was lifting up and I just wanted to get them fixed. She had a bad attitude again and then was speaking her language and did my nails and charged me again 10 to fix what she messed up on and my nail was still lifting up! So to wrap this up I go today to get my fill and I show her that my nail was lifting up and if she can fix it which nail glue can do the job lol she simply told me that if I don't like it I can go somewhere else! I got my nails done @pearl nails and the lady did not do a good job @all, now mind you for a new set and hombre it was 50dollars and I still gave her a 10 dollar tip even tho my nails looked awful. my nails were lumpy and bumpy and when I left the salon one of my nails broke. Will not go here again. Very poor service. They use/replace plastic liners in their pedi tubs and I've never had service with those without getting an infection in my nail. I did not have an exception here. Then, when taking off shellac, they SOAK YOUR NAILS IN PURE ACETONE. This is horrible for your nails and cuticles and soaks into your fingers / blood system. I flat out refused this during my service. My nail technician also cut my cuticle to bleeding during my service. I cannot un-recommend this place harder. read more
