After my review both Jacob and Ron contacted me to resolve the rain gutter issue. It turned out that the rain water will still flow onto my patio because of uneven leveling. Ron came out and offered to add another rain gutter but there's no point for the excess. I'm happier now with their follow through and it made a difference. Ron and I had a great conversation and really impressed with how he remembered my project. It wasn't the smoothest experience due to an employee they hired back then but this does make up for it. We recently used Pearl Remodeling for back to back bathroom remodeling projects (we completely gutted both rooms!) and cannot recommend them enough! Ben was a great overall project manager and was really communicative about realistic project expectations and timing around other projects. Work (especially on the first bathroom) was done incredibly fast and all the various teams coming in were great- demo, plumbing, electrical, tile, glass etc. The tile work is STUNNING. They really worked with us on custom ideas we came up with to make it fit in the space, like figuring out the curtain rod into glass in the guest bathroom, or the custom slab top on the vanity in the master to fit the bowl sink we wanted. Santi's team was awesome. While I don't recommend doing all of this while 5-8 months pregnant like I did...they were also super accommodating to our work & life schedules when needed. It's really difficult finding a reputable contractor who is upfront, professional, excellent at what they do, and can turn out a good product. Well, Pearl Remodeling was able to do just that. I worked with Ben from beginning to end, and he was always true to his word even though we had a couple of minor hiccups. As you can see, I have pavers in my backyard and also in my driveway. Unfortunately, some damage occurred BUT, Ben made sure it was repaired like new. I would suggest with any job for your home, you make provisions to ensure that you have an understanding before the work is started to put cloths down, boards, or any other coverings to protect those things you care about. But, like I said, Ben ensured any damages were repaired with no problem. Also, my patio covers are great as far as workmanship and materials. They are aluminum and beautiful. Just a couple of tips: as you can see in the picture, they won't cover you completely from the sun or rain, which is why I got them. So, I'm a little disappointed on the smaller cover. I love the larger one. At some point I will have to extend it to meet my needs better. Also, it's a little noisy so get extra insulation on an aluminum product. So ask questions so you have a good understanding and get what you want if it's within your budget. Excellent job though overall going with this company. read more

I don't know how these guys operate, but I had someone come to my house to give me an estimate, I already had my permits pulled to the property and the drawings handy. A "project manager" came to the house, looked at the drawings, and gave me an estimate for 75k without the finishings for a garage to ADU. The price was insane. Knowing the cost of materials, labor, and the contractors cut there was no justification for the price the guy gave me. Shop around before locking down. I got the same job done with finishings from a reputable contractor for almost half the price. Keep in mind, I had already paid for the permits and finished the drawings. read more

I have a very small home, but I never felt like my projects were less important than someone else's. Quite the contrary. Every person at Pearl, including all of their subcontractors, is a consummate professional. My project manager, Izhak Eskayo, was on top of every detail and totally responsive. The foreman Cesar and the QA lead George (yes, Pearl has a quality assurance person) were also great, very nice and super helpful. The entire crew, including Salomon, was so hard working, always on time, and very considerate. And the owner himself, Ron, was as professional, knowledgeable and patient as a client who knows nothing about construction could hope for. We did a complete exterior renovation of our house in Burbank, and after meeting with 3 different contractors, we decided to go with Pearl Remodeling... And man, did we make the right choice! Izhak was our project manager, and we could tell right away that he has a serious passion for his work. Having done two huge remodeling projects in the past I am no stranger to working with contractors or how hard the remodeling process can be. This has been my best experience with a construction company so far, and I would not hesitate to hire Pearl again. My contractor was Izhak and he was fantastic to work with. From the start, his bid was the most reasonable, and he came to me with the best ideas for my project. He and his project manager, George, and foreman, Ori, were all kind, patient, and very responsive throughout our project. There are always hiccups in a construction project, however, everything went smoothly, and any hiccups that came up were dealt with in a professional manner. I always felt like their main objective was to make sure I was satisfied, and several times Izhak went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly as I wanted it. In response to vendor's comment, I verified the telephone number and it was correct - the 800 number on the yelp listing. I called at 5.46pm on 10/21 and left a detailed message. I really was not impressed with this company. After reading their reviews I was expecting a level of professionalism and service way above what we experienced. Sadly I don't recall the name of the employee who came out to quote us on several significant projects needing immediate attention, but he was so rude it was almost shocking. He was short, would cut us off mid sentence as we were explaining exactly what we wanted done, and had an attitude that was just appalling. He acted as if he was doing us an enormous favor by coming out to quote the work (which we needed done immediately, and I was really thinking the quote would be just a formality with this company since their reviews were so overwhelmingly positive!). He was arrogant, dismissive, completely rude and we tossed the estimate the minute he left and hired a different contractor. If your contractor won't listen to you before work begins, it's hard to imagine being able to communicate during the project should something go wrong or need to be addressed. read more

I made an appointment for 7pm with some nice lady on the phone. She said we could set up an estimate at my parents house in San Fernando Valley where the work needs to be done. I drove all the way from downtown LA to the Valley fighting through some very painful traffic. 7pm comes and goes so I call the office and get nothing but a voicemail. Definitely not doing business with these kind of people! Now I gotta drive all the way back to LA where I live! What a huge waste of time, gas, and energy. ******This is a supplemental comment********* Changing from 1 star to 3 stars I'm giving a higher rating since Ron the owner reached out to me and worked very hard to correct a mistake made by one of his employees. He came to the house a few days later and offered to beat any other offers, but by that time I was not willing to do any business with his company even though he apologized. Ron, I was finally able to get my Yelp account working again, so sorry this took so long! This is a review for two jobs Pearl Remodeling and crew did for us at our house. One, we needed a concrete water drainage system, complete with inline drains the entire way out to the street on the side of our house. This required a lot of effort, concrete, and time. These guys had the job done ahead of schedule! They worked every single day, all day until the job was done. The project came out great, and now all of the water that used to pool on the side of the house goes right out to the street. Everything is still working great with the drainage system, no issues. They next project was getting the master bathroom completely remodeled. Once again, I gave pearl a call to get an estimate. Ron was definitely the most reasonable with his bid. The main part of the project, was replacing the old nasty rotted shower with all new tile, cement, shower heads, steam unit, etc... The tile work was some of the best I've seen. These guys really do great tile work! The chrome hardware is excellent, and the new glass doors look and work perfectly. We also had a new jacuzzi tub installed, new tile for the floor, new toilet, new faucets for the sinks, and new paint in the bathroom as well. I'm sure there is more I'm forgetting. Most of the time this job took was spent waiting on parts. They were really good about getting right on the job whenever the parts came in. Great contractor! We searched around for the right contractor by experience and personality. Pearl remodeling has both. Izhak was an excellent project manager and help with our design. We needed to remodel the entire house but can't afford to do everything at once. So we had our priorities and a budget and we got quotes on remodeling different parts of the house. Our final decision was to remodel the floors, windows and sliding doors in our living/family room. Some touch up paint and patch work was also needed. The house was built in '88 and nothing has changed. The carpet was removed on the floors and stairs and replaced with laminate and engineered wood, respectively. 2 windows, 2 sliding doors and 1 additional sliding door replaced with a French door. In the process we needed some rotten wood replaced and Pearl was able to handle the work and continue (for additional cost of course). Always budget at least an additional 10% for whatever might come up. Anyway, the project took about a month because of all the rain but that's still pretty good. The stairs were a very difficult task and they are my wife's favorite part. We will certainly use Pearl Remodeling again hopefully this time next year when we remodel a couple of bathrooms. read more

This is a WAY long overdue review for Pearl Remodeling, and more specifically, for our contractor Marco! Our house had some overdue remodeling that needed to be tackled. We are extremely un-handy so we really needed to hire someone who could take care of everything for us. Marco was fantastic! He and his team handled everything from landscaping to interior and exterior painting and a whole list of other things with finesse. We had a lot of other stuff to stress about during our remodeling, so we are very grateful to Marco and his team for working so efficiently, for making the remodel hassle-free, and of course, for making everything look great. Marco constantly kept us updated throughout the process, and always made us feel like we were a top priority for him, even though we know he had much bigger projects going on at the same time. The work was finished right on schedule, and Marco even came and did a final walk through to make sure that we were absolutely satisfied with all the work his team performed. We already had the majority of our condo remodel completed by trades in other projects and some DIY with the exception of our master bathroom, which we knew we needed a professional team that would do it right. The bathroom hadn't been completely redone in decades and any "remodeling" previously was done haphazardly and without any vision. We took a separate vanity & shower/commode area that was cramped and outdated and Pearl has turned it into a spa quality large master bathroom. And they did it all at a fair price that also included design input and favorable pricing for materials based on their good relationships. Without a doubt, the best part of the job is the quality of finished product though. Cesar and his team (including the amazing tile work of Omar) were a pleasure to work with. Pearl Remodeling nailed it! I'm not a great reviewer in general but in this case I felt the need in sharing the experience I had with Pearl. I started by interviewing different general contractors to take over my kitchen remodeling project and I must say, the estimates stage itself had already taken 50% of the energy I was saving for the entire project LOL Out of the 3 companies I interviewed Isaac with Pearl Remodeling who stood out the most in many ways, he was honest and really listened to my needs. Their bid was right among the rest of them GC's (well at least the ones who actually provided me with one...) and the decision was easy, as easy as it can be while saying goodbye to $38k . We made some changes to the proposal and 2 days later we agreed on the price and signed a contract for a full kitchen remodeling project and some other interior remodeling tasks. They started with a kitchen remodeling planner/designer that created a great rendering which helped me a lot in visioning the future kitchen. After the design was signed they demolished my old cabinets and the rest is just history. COMMUNITCATION was the key word, I could get a hold of them instantly at any given time (I mean they answered my texts at 11PM J). Isaac supervised the Job closely, he made sure I was happy with how things were going and when things were not done properly they were the first to admit it and remedy the situation before I even got home, I literally did not do anything but buying the appliances and approving the designs. My husband and I just purchased our first home and the bathroom was U-G-L-Y. It was a very "typical Burbank bathroom"- pink tiles, linoleum flooring, awkward layout. We had dreams of getting a house with at least 2 bathrooms, but it just wasn't in our budget. Since we were limited to only one, we wanted it to be PERFECT and decided a remodel had to be done before we moved in. However, their estimate for a quick and simple finishing interior framework construction was outrageous on an existing structure! $19,000.00 to build one, new exterior wall (yes, a small amount of foundation work needed with myself doing the hard manual labor part to save money) build two small interior walls and install two doors and a window? Ludicrous. The employee, Ori was great, and I honestly would have loved to have hired him if he gave me any number under $5k. He said that they convert garages into permitted guest homes all the time now for around $60-$75k. I said good for you. Because they are charging double to triple the cost. Don't pay these prices people. Please, I am sure they will do good work but they are ripping you off horribly! read more

We had an agreement with them for a total of $5,000 for the plans which was going to include submitting to the city. Jacob quickly drew up a termination agreement which clearly showed that even though we owed him an additional $2,500 for the plans, that we would call it even. Pearl remodeling is a great business! They came out to give us an estimate, explain everything thoroughly. Gal and his cousin were super friendly and knowledgeable. We didn't end up doing business with them right now because we bought another car (priority) but we do plan on doing business with them before the year ends.
