I stopped in hoping to get a repair kit to fix a missing screw in my sunglasses. They put a screw in for me for free and cleaned the lenses for me. They were very busy, but took the time and courtesy to help me for no cost. I definitely would stop in there again as they were excellent in their customer service. read more

I have been to Pearle Vision two years in a row, and had a rough experience each time. The first year, the doctor seemed inexperienced. I got both glasses and contacts, and while I figured something was off I couldn't afford to go back and get new pairs. My husband also went that year, and even though he did the eye exam, the doctor simply asked him what his prescription used to be and decided to use that number instead. What? This year, while my husband was smart and decided to go some place else, but out of convenience I went back. There was also a new doctor so I gave it a shot. I ended up having an eye infection and had to go back a week later after my eye healed. Which is fine, I appreciated him fixing my eye, but I was upset because every time I went back they'd charge me more and more. The first appointment I obviously had to pay for the appointment, which is fair and they said I wouldn't have to pay that fee again when I came back. However the second time, I was then charged a hefty "contact fitting fee" - if I could've used my same prescription without that dumb fee I would've done that! Then while I know I switched to dailies they'd be more expensive, even though I expressed the fact that I didn't want to pay too much, I was prescribed a slight stigmatism (which I have never had before - and was fine with regular contacts) which drove the price up. Every aspect of my Tuttle Pearle Vision experience was a disaster. Dr. Elaine McSweeney performed my eye exam, and one of the sales associates ordered me a pair of glasses from her prescription. I was quoted five business days. Two weeks later, the glasses and lenses arrived at Pearle Vision, and I discovered that they'd been made according to my three year old glasses prescription that was in the Pearle Vision system -- from a doctor that has been in South Korea for two years! The manager apologized and ordered me a replacement pair of lenses from Dr. McSweeney's prescription. They arrived a little over a week later. I felt a little dizzy after putting the glasses on, but the manager insisted that I just needed time to adjust. That seemed reasonable enough, but after an hour of wearing the glasses, I became so nauseous that I puked. I called Pearle Vision back, and the manager refunded my entire out of pocket costs for the glasses. We determined that the prescription I was given was incorrect, and she offered to have new lenses made at no cost after a second eye exam. Fair enough. I called Dr. McSweeney and asked for refund so that I could get an eye exam from a different optometrist. She refused. I spoke to the store manager, the regional manager, and finally executive customer service at Pearle Vision corporate, and every single one had the same answer -- that she was an independent optometrist contracted by Pearle Vision and there was nothing they could do. Desperate for a second opinion, I called my optical insurance company, and the representative put me on a conference call with Dr. McSweeney. She interrupted her, talked over me, but finally conceded that she could give me a refund... but that I would be fired as her patient. Let me repeat that. The optometrist said I was fired as a patient because I asked for a second opinion. I had no words. I would avoid this store and particularly Dr. McSweeney and her attitude at all costs. What a horrible experience I have had with Pearle Vision at Tuttle Mall. I should've walked out when I heard the salesman tell a trainee how to get people to buy the expensive frames. However, I liked the Optometrist, so I stayed. But, the most frustrating part is that I have been waiting 26 days for my new frames. I've called 3 times and have heard the same "they are being processed by the lab" and "this is the lab's fault, not ours". I found two of the three employees to be rude and dismissive. Four days ago I emailed the manager, or at least the contact on their website. Guess what? Crickets. Please don't go to this establishment. My experience with this Pearl Vision was the exact opposite of poor Abby M. I enjoyed a very fast and efficient check-in, pre-screening, and eye exam. The assistant and the optometrist were friendly and personable without being annoyingly so. They didn't keep me waiting forever even though there were other patients around and I really appreciated that. I had budgeted an hour for the appointment, based on past experiences with other places (*cough*LensCrafters*cough*) and in just under 30 minutes I was good to go. The lady who ordered my glasses for me ran the process multiple ways to find the cheapest ordering option for me and helped my indecisive butt pick out a pair that looked really great on me. read more

Chase quickly greeted me when I entered the store and helped me retrieve a receipt that I did not receive due to technical difficulties during my last visit (and my receipt could not be emailed). Chase suggested that the store should improve their system and add the ability to email receipts to customers (since it is 2019). I hope this business will listen to his idea and give him credit! My experience in the office/with the doc was great - everyone was polite and it was a pretty painless process. Now here I am, weeks later, and I have not received the contacts that were supposed to have been shipped to my house "in about a week" and I cannot get an answer at the store about the glasses that should be ready for pick up. I left a voicemail three days ago and have received no response - tried several times to reach someone at the store today (during business hours) but the phone just rings and the recording says the mailbox can't accept messages. Seriously?! They collected a pretty decent sum of money from me (and my insurance) and now I can't reach anyone or get a return call? I'll sure as hell never go back to Pearle but I'd like to, at the very least, get the items I've paid and waited for. read more

Went for an eye appointment a week ago. Since it was time for new reading glasses I decided to switch this year to Pearle vision. as I was very unhappy with the shitty glasses I got from the last vision center I went to. Overall it was a great experience everybody there was very professional and seem to go out on a limb for you. They answered all my requests and thoroughly answered any eyecare questions I had. I have not received the glasses yet they will be in in two weeks I order the regular readers and prescription sunglasses both Oakley brands. They were expensive but I got really pretty good insurance and out-of-pocket was just short of 650 bucks. Not bad for two pair of prescription glasses the best that you can get. I would not hesitate to return there for my next visit. Hopefully the glasses hold up. And I don't tear up the sunglasses while I'm out on my motorcycle. So far these guys have been great. I would give them five stars. It's been about five weeks and these guys were supposed to have my glasses the first pair of the readers was not the right glass they were supposed to be a bifocal so that was wrong about eight or nine days later those came in. I told him I was not making another trip in there and chill both pairs those on the sunglasses were ready for pick up I have other things to do than drive 50 miles round-trip to get glasses that are not in. So I'm still waiting for the glasses the sunglasses to arrive I would suggest not going with Oakley products because their services super freaking shitty and super slow. Right now I have to give these guys to stars instead of five just for the shitty slow service. The people there a pleasant but the delivery on the product that you buy needs help in a big way. read more

Do not confuse this location with a true Pearl Vision. This store is a Franchise owned by Bill Nobel which pays for the name but does not recognize Pearl Vision promotions or offers such as the BOGO frames deal advertised on the website. After calling and verifying they were Pearl Vision and that the offer was going on by phone I learned from a representative that they do not honor Pearl Vision offers and the reason given was they use a different system. O.D. was professional and friendly for exam and care but as a retail location very poor customer service and misdirection. Run far and fast. Went in for only an eye exam, as an eyelid was infected and needed antibiotic drops. Staff decided to try and clean my glasses; however, they made a huge scratch in them while doing this, then refused to repair the lens! Had to file a police report for their damaging my personal property (over $500 in value) and go through their HQ. Very rude and unprofessional staff. Go elsewhere. Beware this, too: they like to tell you they have no records, and then they have to call past owners for the records. This place switches hands every time a family member goes in. No more. Had it. Scam and Insurance fraud!!!! Pearl Vision has processed fake claim in order to force us to buy from them. I called this Pearl Vision yesterday to ask about pricing. I explained that my daughter had an appointment for the very next morning, and that we had VSP insurance. They looked us up by name and gave us pricing. I explained that I may purchase glasses with our regular provider, but there was a chance depending on the selection that we would bring the RX. to Pearl Vision. This morning we had our eye Doctor appointment, and found out that Pearl Vision has processed an eye glasses order for my daughter. It is very unfortunate that I have to write a negative review of this Pearl Vision as I have had great experiences in the past at another location at Polaris when getting my first contacts ever. So I walked in and the customer service wasn't spectacular by any means, but I was able to get my exam very quickly. I was told I should get extra eye screening as it is helpful with not a lot of information behind it. I had the same test done last year at another doctor and everything was fine, so no worries. I did not feel the need to have it again. The exam was the fastest contact lens exam I had ever had, so score there I suppose. But now it is making me question if everything was done properly. I got a 5 day set of contacts to try and I was on my way. I decided I liked the contact trials and called them back for prices and to see what I can get ordered. That is when I started to have issues. I got disconnected several times, I had been told people would call me back several times and nothing. I would say I called their office probably 10 times within a work week just trying to get prices and get something ordered. Needless to say, I have now requested by prescription be transferred to another office so I can order something with them. Such a shame. ****Addition since review: I had called to have my prescription faxed to a different eye doctor. It was never sent. I called back again the same day and was told their computer system had issues and my prescription was lost. I would need to come in again and get another evaluation and then I could have my printed prescription. I asked if I could do this at another Pearl Vision and am now waiting to see if I can do that. Not sure if this really happened or if they are wanting me back into the office to try and sell me contacts instead of me going elsewhere. read more

I went to this location for an eye exam. After the eye exam I looked at the glasses (poor selection) and picked out a pair. I requested they order a satin black pair since they didn't have them at the store. Two weeks later, I go pick up my glasses and they are not the ones I ordered. I went thru this a couple more times and can now say that the customer service is absolutely horrible. Don't expect them to help you find the right size for your face. Will not go to this store or any other pearl vision ever again!! read more

We had a fantastic experience here! The doctor was awesome and so was everyone else. Great customer service. Big fan of the digital eye scan versus having your eyes dilated, especially for kids. My insurance required an additional co-pay for the digital scan but it was worth it not to spend the rest of the day with blurred vision, especially for kids. We placed the order for glasses and they said it would be two weeks, but we got them after one week. Be careful if you're scheduling online. I don't think it's the fault of anyone at the store, maybe just a technical glitch... but our appointment somehow got cancelled. Luckily they knew we were scheduled because we had stopped in a few days before our appointment to look at frames so they still got us in. Just saying, you may want to double check on your appointment before you go if you scheduled online because we had even received a confirmation email so we thought we were good to go. The next time, I'm just going to skip the online process completely and call them directly. Much easier in my opinion. They do not have regular malls hours, closing anywhere from 5pm to 7pm during the week. They are open on Saturdays until 5, but if you're anything like us, fall athletics make it impossible to get there. Closed on Sundays, which I actually like so that they can have a day off too! We didn't have any problem since we did this all before school started, but just something to keep in mind if you're juggling schedules during the school year. We will definitely be back! I had an excellent service at Pearle Vision at Tuttle! Here is my story: I brought in my prescription from my eye doctor and had it made at this location. When I tried out my glasses for the first time, I knew something was terribly wrong with the right lens but I tried to wait it out for 3 days, assuming I needed to 'adjust' to it. After no progress, I went back to Pearle Vision and explained to Brandi, the associate that works there, that one of my lens was blurry and it gave me a headache. She listened to my issue, assessed my glasses and knew right away that my prescription was written incorrectly, one of lens power was flipped: (003 should have been 030). She called my eye doctor's office and explained the issue to them. It took my doctors' office about an hour to figure out that Brandi was right and my prescription was transcribed incorrectly. I am glad my issue was resolved quickly and I got my glasses fixed for free! Glad I am a customer at this location and will recommend. (June 2018) read more

The only reason they are getting 1 star is so I could submit a review. They do not deserve even 1 star. As of today I have been waiting 5 weeks for my glasses. The personnel at the store have never once tried to contact me to give me an update. I was told originally that it would be a week, so I was patient and waited until 2 1/2 weeks to call. I was told they had shipped and would arrive in a day or two, which obviously did not happen. Called back a week later left a voicemail requesting someone call me with an update. After 24 hours and no return phone call, I called and spoke with the very rude store manager who was completely put off that I was requesting information about my order. He proceeded to tell me that the lab had scratched the lenses and the glasses were being re-made. Hmm, hadn't they already shipped?
