The doctors are great but the store is terrible. Zero communication from them when they forget to order your glasses after a month and now 2 months out, still no glasses. If you can get someone on the line they will tell you we have no idea what's going on. I'd go some place else if you actually want your frames. read more

Doctor got sick and canceled my appt. two weeks ago. I asked that the new appt be texted as previous because I couldn't write while driving. It wasn't. I showed up today for the appt and the desk guy says it is an hour and 20 minutes later than I had been told. I turn to leave but return to the service desk to say that I have an additional request for the doctor and a document for guidance. Some person (Dr?) pops out of an exam room and asks what's the problem. I say "No problem, I'll be back." I come back in an hour and the person with a face full of piercings who popped out of the exam room tells me that my appt has been cancelled because of the way that I'd talked to the desk guy. They have lost me as a customer. read more

Awful customer service. Went online to set up three appointments for my family, received a confirmation number, waited over a month for the appointment and when I called to confirm they had cancelled and moved my appointment three weeks out without, making it over a two month waiting period. It was over the phone and because I call that they informed me that the doctor was going to be out and they were experiencing difficulties with their system. Please note, that same morning I received an email reminder of my appointments with my original date. I would have should up to the appointment to find out that they had cancelled without informing me. I have been a loyal customer until today. It's a shame that their prices are this steep but their customer service, organization and communication are so poor. read more

I really dont want to give this business 1 star, it deserves ZERO stars. I have had the worst experience in the history of any business I have ever dealt with. I ordered glasses on April 29 2022, was told they would be ready in 2-3 weeks. By the time May 20th arrived I called the office (Bridgewater) several times, finally got an answer and was told my glasses had to be re made and they would be ready by the 24 or 25th at the latest. On May 27th I called the office 4 times, no answer, left a voice message and no one ever returned my call. On the 28th I called 4 more times, left a voice mail, no one ever returned my call. On 6/01 I called 2 more times, no answer. On June 2 I got a text saying my glasses were ready, one day short of taking 5 weeks! When I picked up my glasses I started to explain how many times Ive tried getting a hold of someone I was IMMEDIATELY cut off, very rudley and was told "I dont have time to answer the phone, Im short staffed." Clearly this is a sore point and has been an issue with this place or she wouldnt have cut me off before I could even speak!! By the way, my first visit for my exam, which was 50 minutes late, a woman came in and was complaining how she had called 5 TIMES THAT day a couldnt get an answer. hmmm....I should have taken that as a sign and left! I literally could not even get the details out and this horrible woman who has NO BUSINESS WORKING IN A CUSTOMER SERVICE field, raised her voice, told me she hasnt "even had time to check the voice mails from TODAY " to which I replied "how about voice mails from a week ago"? She kept repeating that the phones are her LAST priority. I told her I havent had a good experience with Pearle and would not come back to which she pulled the "Im sorry you feel that way". Then she literally raised her voice and said "my mother in law died last week". This woman is unhinged and has ZERO customer service skills. Not once did she apologize for the lack of customer service and my glasses taking 5 weeks to be finished. I will for sure be spreading the word to everyone about this. read more

I can't say enough good about Dr. Reffner. I've been seeing her for about 3 years now, and she is about the best OD that I have ever dealt with. My eyes have never been happier. That said, this Pearle store is good, but not great. I continue to frequent the store, but end up doing a lot of follow-up. I haven't had my contacts or glasses come wrong, but slow is a frequent issue. It just depends, but the staff are great, friendly, and helpful, and have given me great guidance over the past 3 years. Definitely a good place to go, but if you're in a hurry, keep that in mind when placing your glasses or contact order. For what it's worth, I think their $25 insurance on glasses can be a great thing if you're hard on your glasses. Consider it, because it's good protection against scratches and breakage. read more

I always like to start with a positive! The lady at the desk was nice!! The place was clean!! The Negative!! I have been wearing contacts for over 20 years. The eye doctor changed my prescription to a lower one!! The contacts did not work!! So I went back! I got charged again to refit me for contacts $35 bucks!! Because I was after my 40 days! And my old contacts!!! I had to take a loss on them, she did say they were sorry!! I was told they gave me a discount, the refit should have been $65 bucks. Oh, and I was told that they take both my insurances! Filled out the paperwork and when I went to order my contacts. Oh I am sorry, we only take eye med!! I fell for it!! I had a great experience at this location. Dr. Coley gave me a thorough eye exam and explained the process and answered all of my questions. The manager Casey helped me select the best lenses for my frames. I wear progressives (bi-focals) and have had issues with other optical retailers putting the RX in the lens in the wrong position because it's done digitally by a machine. I like Pearle because the placement of the RX within the lens is hand measured. If you're a long time eyeglass wearer, you know what I'm referring to. No only did Casey place the RX in my lens perfectly, he also helped me choose a great lens that has a wider coverage of the RX on the lens, so instead of moving my whole head to see something clearly through my lenses, now I can merely shift my eyes. This is particularly effective when I'm driving. The team in the store was friendly and personable, an all around great experience! read more

The optometrist was very nice but my glasses took over 3 weeks to receive when they quoted me a week. I called 3 times on different times of the day and no one picked up. I've left multiple messages and never got a call back. I finally just had to show up to the store and apparently my glasses were at the store for a while and was told there must be something wrong with the phone system. Very frustrating. read more

Taking advantage of young adults! We have been to various eye doctors through the years, including other Pearle Vision offices, and I have never seen anything like this. My son is a college student 2 hours away from home, trying to navigate insurance and doctors' appointments. He went in, and was charged a $35 co-pay (called my insurance provider, and we don't have a co-pay) and $25 for a copy of HIS prescription! Nicole's only explanation is "We're a franchise, not a corporate store." Beware this office. Go anywhere else! read more

I've been going to this location for 4 years now and have never seen the same optometrist twice. They also sometimes try to bill my medical insurance which I have to pay out of pocket because of my high deductible instead of billing my vision insurance. I will never be back. Nor recommend them to anyone. I called to verify my insurance twice before arriving to my eye exam. After arriving there after an hour drive I am told they do not accept my insurance. The person that I spoke to over the phone.. Casey. Left the room when I called him out on his failure to give me accurate information. This is rediculous. There is no excuse for providing me false information twice. Customer service is sincerely lacking. Then to ask if I just want to go ahead and pay full price for my exam or cancel? Tact.... some have it some do not. Dr. DeWald was very nice and did a fantastic job with my prescription. I don't know if I've ever had a contact lens script that was perfect right from the very beginning. I've almost always had to have some "tweaks", but not this time. Kayla and Jenna have been very nice as well, and Kayla helped me decide on my new frames. Casey? I love to give him a hard time, but he has always gone out of his way to accommodate my husband and me. We have been going to this location for the last several years, and are quite happy. Dr. Motter was very helpful and patient with me last year as we tried to get my prescription just right. I was sad to find out that she did have to leave, but I'm definitely a fan of Dr. DeWald; she has my full confidence. read more

In the past, I have been happy with my experience at this store, especially with the doctors. However, this morning my wife experienced a surprisingly high level of rudeness and incompetency when she arrived for her appointment. Even though we have been going there for several years, always with the same insurance on file, the person behind the counter was unwilling or unable to find the account, and was downright mean about it in the process. My wife ending up leaving without the contacts she needed. I suspect we will be going elsewhere in the future. read more
