I recently came in to Pearle to get an updated prescription and several pairs of designer glasses. Initially, I loved coming to the store because the customer service team members( I had met) were extremely good. The reason I couldn't give a lower rating is due to their professionalism and kindness. However... after a handful of enjoyable trips to the store, I ran into "Nanette". If I could review her only, I would give zero stars. For some bizarre reason, Nanette decided she didn't like me. Bizarre because her response to me was unprovoked. Like she was Russia and I was Ukraine unprovoked. Her treatment towards me stands as probably the worst customer experience I've ever had to date. Whenever I came in, she would glare at me and made accomplishing any task nearly impossible. She was condescending, hateful and disrespectful. She nearly refused to help me but would hover around emitting negativity anytime I tried to get help from someone else. She seemed to want to intimidate me out of visiting the store and eventually succeeded. From now on, I've decided to visit other pearle locations if needed which is a shame because others at this location were great and I used to look forward to my trips to the store. It's disappointing when people such as Nanette feel the need to identify a person to take their bad day or other issues out on. I don't know if she disliked me due to some superficial reason like my ethnicity or if she just imagined I insulted her. She had the opportunity to correct the situation since I visited the store several times but she stuck to her guns and continued to be hostile towards me even when I made the decision to not engage with her anymore. She also seemed to have turned the optometrist that did my test against me, haha. Pretty high school stuff for grown adults to be participating in. Anyway, if I had done anything to her, I would have apologized, but unfortunately I did not so the whole thing was pretty confusing. I didn't confront her directly about her behavior because honestly she was living in another reality. I write this review incase anyone else is treated badly by Nannette, to remind them not to take it personally. read more

The folks at Pearle Vision really are the best! Everyone here cares about their patients and the experience felt like a positive team effort the whole way through. Making an appointment online was super easy. I got a courtesy call the day before my exam to confirm my appointment and was informed the office had already found my EyeMed insurance so I didn't have to worry about bringing my card in with me. I was greeted right when I walked in and found the store to be very calm and clean. They even put little signs on the waiting chairs telling you if you should wait for the chair to be sanitized, or if it's clean and ready for you. I realize that's a small detail, but it's much appreciated given the current Covid situation. The young man who did the initial part of my exam was both friendly and professional and explained each part of the exam, which always makes it more enjoyable. Dr. Lee Cloutier is fantastic. She patiently took the time to explain the changes she noticed in my vision from my previous prescription and walked me through different options for eyeglasses, computer glasses, and contacts. She was also quite helpful at my contact lens follow-up and made sure I could try enough options to find the perfect lens before committing to a brand. Picking out frames with Alejandra's help was great. She was super fun to chat with and took the time to listen to what I was looking for. And it helped! She picked out a set of frames that I ended up liking even better than the ones I had initially picked out! Recently bought a few pairs of glasses (and sunglasses) at Pearle Vision in Boise, Idaho. The staff there is great (everyone!), but particularly Alisa (not sure of spelling). She has been so patient with our shopping for lenses, and looking up answers to our questions. NO REFUND, NO APOLOGIZE, NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL. WASTE OF HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS. I SUGGEST YOU DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! I paid the price of a polarized sun glasses with most fancy features, but ended up getting a regular tinted sunglasses. The sunglasses they made were low-quality and problematic. The two piece of glasses are not consistent at all when I got the first pair of glasses. I was feeling dizzy and disgusting with the glasses. With the glasses on, the phone screen becomes twisting blue and the color changes significantly when looking from different angle. I returned to the store and told them the issue. They promise to fix it. Later I know, what they did was just removing a feature from the glass which they upsold to me without cutting the price. For the 2nd pair of glasses, the issue is still there. I told them and they said this is how the polarized glasses work. I had polarized glasses before and I never had such issue. I guess it could because they measured my eyes distance incorrectly but they either do not know or do not want to fix it. I was so rushed to get my new sunglasses since 4 weeks were gone that I accepted their suggestion to switch to a tinted sunglasses, which I did not realize was so bad at blocking sun until I used it. It is a cheap glass that may worth 20 bucks, but takes me hundreds of bucks. read more

I had to switch optometrists because of new insurance, but I'm thankful to have found this Pearle Vision. Dr. Lee was understanding when answering various questions I had, and Danny was very helpful and patient when helping me find new glasses that I'd be happy to wear out and about. I was primarily a contact lens user, but I've been finding myself excitedly wearing my new glasses more often! I'm very thankful for how easy it was to talk with Danny about my concerns and what I was looking for in new glasses and appreciate him taking the time to walk me through various options. These ladies are the BEST! You should stop by to check out their frames just to spend time with these lovely people. You should do that even if you don't need glasses. But, if you do need glasses, or you'd like to try glasses instead of contact lenses, then Komal & Priscilla are the people you should go to. Komal & Priscilla are both helpful, patient and very knowledgeable. I had been looking for a specific style of frame for months, only finding a style I liked at outrageous prices ($300-$400). On my first visit, Komal let me try on multiple frames, take endless selfies, put a few frames aside, text my husband, offered to take photos for me, and gave me reasonable pricing that beat out the LensCrafters price (which included my insurance discounts). After all that, I still needed time to mull it over, and so Komal wrote down the style info for a few pairs I liked for ready reference. A few days later, I returned as I was so impressed with their range of stylish frames and reasonable pricing. I was greeted with a friendly smile, a welcome back, and we continued the hunt. Again, Komal and Priscilla were patient, and helpful, giving me feedback about the frames and look I was going for. I made my selection, and now am wearing my new glasses with absolute delight. I highly recommend this establishment Pearle Vision in Irvine, the owners are the BEST and they have great people working there! I had gone there last year in early December for new glasses and received such wonderful customer service and care. My experience there was exactly how it should be. They helped me pick my glasses. I went back numerous times because I had some issues with how they fitted on my face and head. Every time I came back, they greeted me with kindness and would do whatever they could to help me. They eventually switched out my frames for the same kind because the original frames were not working out for me. Came in 9 minutes late for my annual exam, and called them prior to make sure it was fine. I was told if I was more than 10 minutes late, that I should reschedule. The exam was done by Dr. Laura Cloutier and was quick, thorough, and very professional. Danny was very helpful and kind when I was choosing a new pair of glasses. He didn't pressure me and told me about the promotion for 40% off new glasses. I ended up getting a new pair, replacing the lens on an old pair, and getting new prescription lenses on my sunglasses. Price was a little steep (~$540 total) for everything, but worth it based solely on how they treat their patients/customers. I did have a couple of issues though. -I had to come back in a couple of days after because of a miscommunication between the office and the lens cutters to give them the frame that needed their lens replaced. -When I came to pick them up, I was given the 2 pairs that had replacement lens, but not the new pair of glasses (partially my fault for not remembering) so I had to go to their office 4 times in total. (gas do be expensive nowadays since I live in Anaheim) read more

The 1st. time they assisted me with 2 pairs with equally Fanastic job done. There Eye Glass Speaclists Komal who helped set up the fitting of them and measuring of the lenses for the order & Nanette who set up the pricing and putting together what the glasses would contain in them plus a very good price to have the work done & with a turn around time of 1 week which was originally 2 weeks was very nice to get them back so fast. I came here to get an examination and get new glasses. The service at this establishment was wonderful and the exact and accurate examination that Dr. Cloutier conducted on my eyes detected the astigmatism that I had. I never knew I had such a condition until the doctor told me. None of my other optometrists had ever detected this issue but thanks to her, my eyes hurt less, and I don't have to put as much effort to see as I did when using my previous glasses.
