The people who helped with me finding, fitting and receiving my glasses were the best I've encountered in the many years I've been wearing bifocals. came here to pick up my glasses and the store is closed! Everywhere I look it's advertised as being open on Sundays from 12 to 6. It is 2 PM and they are completely closed! The dr here is nice enough but the prices are horrible!! I hate writing bad reviews so I'll keep is short. $217 just for basic lenses not including frames, anti-glare ($109 additional), nothing!! I'm not cheep but $400 for one pair of glasses is way to much. I even had a $200 off Groupon and it was still $400. Go online you can get 2 maybe even 3 pairs of glasses for what this place wants to charge you. One of those times I should have checked yelp first. read more

Very snotty and extremely overpriced!!! I was quoted $600 for bottom of the line lens and frames I went to a different eye glass store and bought top of the line glasses and frames for $269!!!! Went in for pair of glasses for my husband. Staff especially ,Emily, was very friendly and helpful. We found the perfect fit with her help. Also she explained the various types of lenses available to us. Was very patient with us as well. Will be returning to the store to pick up my husband's glasses in around a week. read more

I made an appointment for the entire family to go get our eyes checked, from the time we walked in we were greeted and taken care of and treated with respect. There is also an employee there Micheal who is great at helping you find the right pair of glasses that look good on you and in the price range that you want to spend. He also has a great scence of humor as well which is great so it doesn't make it stressful when having to get glasses. The entire staff is very helpful, friendly, and explain everything you need to know about your eye care. read more

Absolutely horrific experience. I walked in on to Pearl Vision with my prescription, insurance, and cash in hand trying to buy a pit of glasses and left looking for another store. I was greeted by an older female associate who seemed to have little knowledge on the stores inventory. There was a pair of Oakley frames I wanted but Pearl Vision didn't have my size. I knew from a previous experience at a different Pearl Vision that there is a local Oakley sales rep in the area. The associate went on the Oakley website looking for other sizes and told me the website wouldn't let her click on the different size so that must mean it's no longer available. I spent the next 15 minutes trying to ask her if there was a rep they could call. She continued to argue with me that because she can't click on it on the website that it must mean it's unavailable. Well I went to another store that night and ordered my glasses in the size I needed. Extremely frustrating experience. Do yourself a favor and find another place to get glasses. read more

Oddly - my last review was hidden... so I will repost... SCAM ALERT: Before you go to Pearle Vision in the Lehigh Valley Mall in Whitehall, Pennsylvania... please read: Here was MY experience two days ago: I went in for an eye exam and glasses for driving at night. Exam was fine and the doctor was great. ZERO complaints with the checkup. I chose my frames (the least expensive I could find because who would see me driving? Still $160 - relatively cheap for frames). My insurance paid for $79.99 towards the frames. OK fine. I was told by the person checking me in (different from the person doing the frames/lens purchase) that I had 100% lens coverage. GREAT! When paying for everything later, I tell the man there (Justin) that I wanted no extras, bare-bones. He rings it up and he tells me my total would be $308.96. Wait - WHAT? I said, ok $10 co-pay for eye exam, $39 for some photo of my eyeball to check for macular degeneration and the remainder of my frame cost was $79.96. There should not have been any additional cost for my lenses since I was told I had 100% coverage... yet the math shows that I was paying an ADDITIONAL $180 for these lenses that were supposed to be totally covered by my NVA insurance. WHY? He said "Well, your insurance only pays 20% on these lenses." I said "But, they are supposed to be 100% covered. The lady over there told me when I checked in" Annoyed, he said she doesn't know how that side works. I said, I don't want ANYTHING extra. He agreed to take off the lens glare ($-40) but said there was nothing else that would make them less expensive. Now, I sense an immediate change in his demeanor. Hmm... Commission sales? I'm not cheap but I'm not paying for what I do not want. I say, "I just want the least expensive pair I can get and I don't want any of the extras - no scratch protection, nothing extra. I can't get lenses any cheaper than this?" "No, this is what the computer shows your insurance will pay. We don't sell lenses without the extra stuff anymore." So, now I'm sitting there with dilated eyeballs, baffled and angry that I am spending a seemingly unavoidable $268.96. I give him my credit card, pay and leave. Come to work today and check - yup, 100% coverage. I call Pearl and ask for a manager and explain. He says "Yes, you could have gotten the plastic lenses at no charge." GRRRRRR... I said "Ok, so I was scammed and this is B*llsh!t. Do your employees work on commission?" "Yes"... Fancy that?! Manager said they will credit my card back when I come to pick up my glasses. I said no, credit my card now. He credited the $140 they scammed from me. I advised I would be reporting them to my insurance company. He didn't apologize - nothing. read more

I created a Yelp account specifically for this review. I had been here twice previously and although I wasn't impressed, I didn't have any trouble. However, during my most recent visit, I didn't receive the correct eyeglass lenses. Pearle had them remade three times and they still weren't right! They refused to have them remade again and initially refused to refund me unless I gave back the lenses. Additionally, the customer service is extremely poor. Several individuals were extremely rude on multiple occasions. I will say that Justin, one the managers, was fairly pleasant throughout our interactions and eventually refunded me and allowed me to keep the lenses, which are still not correct but will allow me to continue to be able to see as I search for a new eye doctor. read more
