I have lived in Adams for about 5 years now and didn't know about this place until this year. I finally had the opportunity to stop in and boy am I glad that I stopped in. The only way I can describe this place is it felt that I was at my grandmothers house. The women behind the counter was so helpful and she made the entire experience amazing. We only tried the donuts because there is another donut shop in town to see who has the better ones. Hands down it was the best donut I have ever had. I can tell you that we will be back again to try the other bake goods!!! I can only imagine they are just as good as the ones we had. read more

Step inside this establishment, and you'll swear you've stepped back in time, to the late 1950s, early 1960s. The vintage diner decor is complimented by oldies music playing in the background. This is a favorite spot for a leisurely Sunday breakfast. The breakfast sandwiches here are made with ginormous English muffins (your choice of white or wheat). My favorite is the wheat muffin with Canadian bacon, ecc, and cheese. You really need either a very big mouth, or a fork and knife to take on this sandwich! The doughnuts and pastries look scrumptious and oh-so-rich. Service is friendly and personal. Prices are low. I recommend you make this a pitstop in the near future! read more

Pearl's is great--so glad to have a nice little bakery like this right in Adams! It's hard to make a recommendation only because so many of the things they serve are delicious. Every few weekends, I'll suddenly get a craving for one of their breakfast sandwiches, which are best eaten on one of their huge, poofy English muffins--and it comes with free coffee! As far as donuts and other baked goods, the apple fritters are the best, but don't let that stop you from trying any of their other specials. That's another good thing--they're always experimenting. They recently started making "doissants" (half doughnut, half croissant) which, as far as favorites go, I'd say are a close second right behind the apple fritters. They also had an apple/cheddar turnover at the Cheddar Cheese Fest this year that was quite tasty, and they've had some other interesting stuff as well. Last summer they made an Atomic Fireball doughnut that was bright red and tasted just like the candy. They even have home-made dog biscuits at the counter, which is cute--I can't speak for the taste myself, but my dog certainly loves them. If you're feeling lazy some Sunday morning and don't feel like making breakfast, trek over to Pearl's and give them a try. I'll probably see you there! read more

What a treat. In an area where food is rarely homemade, Pearl's offers some of the best in-house made English muffins. The prices are very reasonable, as you can get a breakfast sandwich with the English muffins, eggs, bacon, sausage and even canadian bacon with a coffee for less than 4 bucks. In addition, the owners are wonderful and quite hospitable. Did I mention the donuts are also made in-house, and they are truly amazing. Forget Dunkin' Donuts, these donuts taste better and don't leave you feeling like you ate a brick. Great place! When I'm in town I'll be back. read more

The donuts here are really tasty. They are light and fluffy inside and the frostings and fillings are tasty as well. They carry all the typical donut styles like headlights, cream filled, jelly, glazed, etc. However, they didn't have anything out of the ordinary. Fantastic! The donuts were simple and tasty...no crazy concoctions or flavors. Just good donuts! Light and fluffy and full of flavor. The Lemon Glazed has the right balance of lemon, and the Apple Fritter was full of cinnamon and apples. And the Buckeyes - the peanut butter filling is dead on in flavor and the chocolate is the right ratio. The people were welcoming and very nice. Definitely plan on stopping again next time I'm in the area. read more
