Biscuits and gravy! Would not order the sausage gravy. Not good.
    Caroline J.

Stopped by here for the first time this morning for breakfast. Service was extremely sweet and efficient. The food we tried were the following: Cinnamon bun French toast-delicious! Breakfast Burrito- so good! Loved the carnitas inside. Was not a fan of the sausage gravy. Had a really strange taste. The biscuits were really good. Had them on the side. Would like to try some of their desserts. Their pies looked amazing!

    Yummy!

Brisket sandwich with BBQ sauce was delicious! Piggy Mac was fantastic pulled pork and Mac and cheese! How could you go wrong! Service was friendly and recommendations were delicious! I would definitely come back.

Homemade sausage gravy was very good. Biscuits were perfect. Best spur of the moment decision I made.

Unfortunately, the…read moreowner's behavior completely overshadowed the food, and after giving her three chances, I won't spend my money there again. On our first visit, my 87-year-old father casually mentioned that he hadn't known the place existed. The owner responded by yelling at him about how long the business has been open and listing other places she owns, leaving him feeling embarrassed and ignorant. The final straw happened during my most recent visit. I flew in from Las Vegas and wanted to take my parents, both in their 80s, to get sandwiches. Standing for long periods is difficult for them, so they sat briefly in the dining area while I ordered. They were the only customers in the restaurant at the time. They were immediately yelled at and told they could not sit there unless they ordered from the dinner menu. My father politely explained that we were ordering sandwiches and that his daughter had just flown in. The owner said it didn't matter--if we weren't ordering off the dinner menu, we had to leave. As a result, we were forced to eat in our car in the middle of winter. Great food does not excuse disrespectful, unkind treatment--especially toward elderly customers. The lack of compassion was shocking, and I will not return.

Small but sufficient bar for those inclined to just partake in some drinks. BBQ is mediocre by Texas standards, but that's comparing it against the greats like Franklins and Blacks; for North country and anything north of Mason-Dixon Line, it's the best I've had. Interesting too because they don't commit to a single style, you will see NC sauce/rips next to sauceless brisket (TX). Didn't try the non-meat items but had a large menu of goodies for non-meat eaters. Prices were cheap on drinks and decent on meals. It's rustic in there but clean. Don't know if they'll have a good patio game in the summer. 5 stars, worth the 30 minute trip from Fort Drum.

Every BBQ I've ever been to, has the unwritten rule of if show up at the end of the night, some of the meat might be sold out. So I asked if we could order everything separately and the guy told us yes - which is ridiculous, because it's a way to up charge. My husband asked for a mixture of lean and moist brisket and the guy at the counter said "we only have brisket." It was at that point, I knew this would be an adventure. We went back at one point and asked for bread, and he raised his voice at my sister and said bread doesn't come with brisket. On to the food, the pulled pork nachos were weird. They used the mustard BBQ sauce which was an odd choice. The hot wings were good! The brisket was disappointing. It was still a little tough, and probably needed to cook for another two hours. The chicken was enjoyable. As for the sides, the corn bread was cold. The broccoli salad, Cole slaw, and potato salad was enjoyable. The place is easy to find and a decent amount of seating. My husband's family is from Pulaski and I don't think we'll be stopping in again next time we are back.

We have been here several times and come for their burgers. They also have a great selection of craft brews. The bartender was also working as our server and was very attentive and also caught an error in one of our parties plates and quickly remedied the situation without question. This time we diverted a bit and I had the Charleston. It was a very good chicken sandwich with pepper jack cheese and a homemade ranch dressing. The ale house Philly was equally delicious. Inside is a typical bar layout that leads to the crowded outdoor patio overlooking the river. Lots of unclean, uncleared tables. Staff wasn't rude but they sure as heck weren't excited to be there. The "jumbo wings" were not jumbo. And if these are the best rated in upstate then there is a serious wing problem around here. Some of them were overcooked and crunchy and some of them were barely cooked. The garlic parm is. Nothing but an oily greasy mess. And then there was the bill... $10 for FIVE wings and 50 cents for a tiny thing of blue cheese. Unreal. They also added in credit card fee, which is no longer allowed in NYS. Meh, I'll pass on this place again.
