I would do a zero if I could. I have gone in twice to get my serpentine belt fixed but it's still squeeze, which they claim they can't hear anything. I have 2 videos that shows it is still squeaking. Also, they took apart my entire undercarriage flaps and never put them back correctly. Even part of the outer part of my passenger door is picking out. I took the van back in to have them fix the flaps and they are still hanging down. Terrible work, if it wasn't for the warrenty on the parts I originally paid for, I would have done the work myself. read more

Went in for simple registration. Guy had a bad attitude. Been going here for a couple years with no issues until today.

Made an appointment. Simple job. Tune up. Oil change. Inspect front wheel drive steering and components. Dropped car off first thing in the morning. Did not hear anything from them all day and missed getting there ontime to pick up car. Return next morning, car had not been touched. No apology, nothing, appeared that I had bothered them. I can't say enough good things about this auto shop. I'm new to the area and was having a hard time finding a reliable and HONEST mechanic. Long story short the dealership wanted to charge me 700$ for a wheel sensor and harness with labor. Persons did it for 310.00. The dealership also caused an oil leak and tried to charge me 2500$ for a part that was 12.50. By telling me it was the engine block leaking. Rented a Uhaul here for my work but was impressed with Kens customer service and the atmosphere. Those are two things im not uaed to finding at an autoshop or Uhaul rental. Actually when I showed up there were Syracuse police officers there. Turns out some low life broke in the previous night which was a first he said in all the years he has been there. He could have easily let that experience affect his service but he didnt. We are new to the area and I've bookmarked him for my next auto needs. read more

I took my sons car in because I had been told it needed the struts replaced by Shadetree Automotive and the car was very "wobbly" to the point it felt like a tire was going to come off. Shadetree had quoted me $700 and Pearson's quoted $446. They went through the car and told me all of the struts were fine and they felt like it was a tire issue and recommended Les Schwabb. My only complaint was that they charged me $50.00. When I took the car to Les Schwabb they also looked at the struts and confirmed they were fine. His rear tire had a bubble in it and that was the problem. Les Schwabb did not charge me anything to find that out. read more

Pearson Auto is running a scam. If I were able to I would not give them any stars at all. My sister took my car in to have the safety and emissions done. When the car wouldn't start they told her that it was the fuel pump. She left it there with my number for them to call with a quote while she went to work. I received a call later from Cody asking for me to call back. When I called back Cody informed me that my car was ready to be picked up and that they had replaced not only my fuel pump but my serpentine belt which not not been brought up at all until this point. They were charging me over $600 for these services that I never agreed to, and in the case of the serpentine belt, had not known that my car even needed. When I went in to talk to the owner about the illegal things that Cody did. Cody was at the front desk. Just walking in to the place he gave off a slimy and dishonest impression. I asked to talk to Ken, the owner, Cody said he would go find him, or we would have to deal with himself. Cody walked in the back and returned not even a minute later. He informed us we would have to deal with him. Cody plain and simple was rude. He was not pleasant at all to be around. Hand feeding a starving wild lion would be easier and more pleasant than dealing with Cody. When we picked up my car the drivers door was left unlocked all night while it was parked in full view and able to be accessed by every person that passed it. Lucky for them there were not items taken from my car or there would be a police file out for each item stolen from my car. I will never be going there again nor will I be recommending this place to anyone. read more

Pearson Auto is a scam! I do not recommend them at all! if you know the problem on your car and its an easy fix then maybe they are decent. However, if you need them to diagnose and repair an unknown issue be prepared to replace a lot of things that don't need to be replaced. Basically took a shotgun effect of "We don't know what is wrong, lets replace everything and hope it works!". Terrible Mechanics! Story if you care to read: My normal mechanic I take things to was out due to shoulder surgery. I decided to take it here after reading reviews and hoping they would be able to figure out what was going on with my cars braking system. (To give a background, the brakes were self-engaging and the brake pedal became stiff and would have to be left overnight just to be able to drive it. I check the brake fluid, there was plenty of brake fluid in the overflow reservoir). I left my car with Cody and he said he would call me if they find anything wrong and discuss the repairs needed. Unfortunately, when Cody called I was not able to answer the phone due to where I work. Cody left a message to call him back. As soon as I could call back, Cody explained to me they ended up replacing all my brake pads, back rotors and another item that supposedly needed to be repaired. I was surprised that my pads and rotors were causing the issue. Cody explained that he was unsure as to what was causing the issue but noticed those did need to be replaced. I was a little frustrated that they did the repairs without discussing prior to me since I asked for that. I asked where the old brake pads and rotors were because I wanted to see them to inspect myself. Cody said they had already thrown them away and that I would not be able to see them. Cody said they needed to put my tires back on and all they had left to do was to bleed the lines and I should be good. I said fine, go ahead with bleeding the lines out and give me a call back when its all put back together and tested. I got a call back from Cody stating they were not able to bleed out the lines because there was a "Strange Red Thick Substance" throughout all my braking system and their air compressor could not clear it. Cody then went on to state that they needed to then replace everything within the braking system. This included all the rubber pipes and metal pipes, you name it, everything that had to do with the brake system, it supposedly needed to be replaced. Cody said that it would cost me well over $1000 just for the repairs not including the price of parts. My car was not even worth $1000 if I sold it. Out of curiosity and frustration I asked Cody if that was the issue causing my brakes to self-engage? His response was that he didn't know, but since there was this "Strange Red Substance" everything needed to be replaced. I told them no, the car is not worth it. I came and got the car and left after spending over $300 for the other repairs they did. I had that car sitting for awhile at my place and was looking for a new car. I had a friend that told me about their mechanic that would look at it for free and give me an estimate. I said why not. After this other mechanic looked at it, I get a call to come over and look at it. My friends mechanic showed me that there was not a single drop of this "Strange Red Substance" in my braking system and that Pearson's had drained my brake fluid completely, there was not a single drop left! All that was wrong was my MASTER CYLINDER WAS BAD! So after spending $300 on crappy brakes/rotors at Pearson Auto, I had my Master Cylinder and new brake fluid replaced. To this day my cars braking system works just as good as new and this was almost a year ago and no problems. read more

Dropped my car off to have to timing belt worked on. I was told it would be a 3 hour job and that there should be no problem. An hour into the job the mechanic called and said that it was too hard and he didn't want to finish it and we owed him $110. My husband and dad ended up taking the front end of the motor apart for him just so he would finish the job. 4 days later I got my car back and my fill tube for the radiator is broken and leaking. This is by far THE WORST place to take your car to be serviced. read more
