Let me say I was super impressed by this team today and they really helped me out of a jam. I was doing my own brakes last night and couldn't get a tire off. So when putting my lug nuts on after that one decided to break off. I went and retrieved my truck and after two failed attempts at Sam's club and Walmart. I have used this facility mostly for emissions and inspections for my vehicles and motorcycles over the years. On my latest visit, I was coming in for emissions, and pulled up to the back doors. I was greeted by a technician upon exiting my car, and she checked me in at a garage computer. She didn't give me a time frame, but told me to wait in the waiting room. As I was walking to the waiting room, I saw she was checking in another vehicle that arrived after I did for a similar emissions and registration. While waiting, other customers were talking about the online coupons for emissions, so I checked the website and downloaded a $6 off emissions coupon. It seemed like the wait was a little longer than I expected since they didn't seem to be overly busy. I noticed that the vehicle that arrived just after I did was completed and paid before they finished my car. I must have got the slower tech I guess. I also had to wait again, while my car was left running just outside the bay doors, for the cashier to complete another customer before I could pay and get on my way. The waiting are had a restroom, drink vending machine, and several adequate but not comfy chairs. There were TV's mounted on the upper wall area, but they only showed a menu of service options and advertised their services, not any programming to watch. Despicable. Went in to get brake fluid changed. The entire left side of the engine bay was covered in splattered brake fluid. The windshield and air cleaner had a hastily wipe off, but there was even fluid on the front bumper and all down the headlamp. Had to get the car washed immediately to get brake fluid off the paint work. The only reason for two stars, is because it appears the job was completed. Probably the last time Ill ever go to Jiffy lube...even with my enemies cars. read more

Took my 4Runner in to get an oil change. The 18 year old kid tried selling me everything under the moon. Had zero knowledge of why I needed all these services. I politely declined to everything. I watched the oil tech struggle for about an hour trying to get a skid plate on all while swearing the entire time. I would never go here again. My vehicle isn't an experiment for unexperienced high school kids to work on. Lack of training and lack of professionalism. I don't recommend this place at all. read more

I have been going to this Jiffy Lube for 7 years and the last couple times I have been incredibly unimpressed. The gentleman greeting me cut me off before I could finish telling him what I needed (i.e oil change, tire rotation, emissions test/registration, new cabin and air filter). My tires were not rotated, cabin and air filter "checked" but not replaced. (look at the photo and you can tell it clearly needs replaced) The cabin air filter cover was left on my dashboard and my windshield wiper fluid wasn't topped off. This is the second time they've failed to rotate my tires, leave a cover on my dash and failed to replace a filter when specifically asked. Simple fixes to do myself, but the point is the job is unfinished. Don't waste your time, go elsewhere. read more

I just had an INCREDIBLE experience with this location. Because of one person, I'll make sure that this will be my go-to location for all my car needs. I want to give a HUGE shoutout to Shay! He knows how to treat his customers. Such an awesome guy. I had to take a car in about 3 weeks ago and I was only there for about 5 minutes tops. When I went in to get a routine oil change this afternoon, I asked how long it would take. Knowing that everyone was short-staffed, I expected it to take about an hour, and it was as there was about 4 cars ahead of me. I took the time to clean out my car and relaxed while I waited. After a little while they let me know my car was finished. The shop closed at 6:30pm, yet it was 6:40 and they had just wrapped up. So Shay called me over and immediately said, "Hey, weren't you in here a few weeks ago?" To my surprised I replied, "yes I was!" He responded, "I remember you! You have an awesome personality and I appreciate your kindness." I mean, come on... who says stuff like that?? A really good person! So he proceeds to check me out and give me a little discount and I assured him I'd continue coming because of him! Great job Shay! You know how to treat a customer!!! read more

Came in to get an emissions test done and said it would take about 15 minutes. 30 minutes later the technician came out and said that unfortunately it's a law that you have to have a piece of paper printed out that says you need an emissions test done and Email cannot be used. Called another company who said all I needed to do was show my previous emissions and they would be able to do it. Don't waste your time with Jiffy Lube and their incompetent employees. Fast, Complete and Informed. I read the other reviews and I don't know what they expect. Getting oil change should not be the same as filling your car with gas. The oil is the life blood of the engine. While I was waiting I heard them offer synthetic oil to the customers - most saying no. I don't know why people want to go cheap on oil - talk to a good mechanic, they will all say full synthetic. Better on wear and tear of the engine and you don't need to get your oil changed as often - saves time and money. Reading others reviews, it makes me think that they have issues with their cars and want someone else to take the blame for their lack of servicing their vehicle. I had my oil changed previously by them, and it was about time to need it changed again, so I went ahead and went out of my way to change it myself. I went to drain the oil, and the drain plug was very stripped. I contacted them about the stripped plug and they said they would "address the problem"... Come around the next day- I come in and they say there never was a "tamper seal" so They hadn't done the job right in two different spots. To top it all off, my oil change from last year wasn't even in the system. They said they wouldn't be able to do much about it. there was too much sketchy stuff going on and they lied about a few things. The system reading was different from the sticker, they took it at the beginning of the service when i mentioned the miles did match their system (but the date was off) So there's that. Not happy with service, Needs better quality control. They ended up charging me ~$50 bucks (Edit: I provided oil, a filter, and a new drain plug and they charged me ~$46... I questioned it and they said that was just how it worked out... Not cool.) This place is a joke of a business. All I needed done was my emissions, they said it would take about 20 minutes. After waiting over an hour I went it to see what was going on. They informed me that right after they started on it the state emissions system went down and they weren't able to do it which happened about 5 minutes after I gave them the car, which means I waited there for an hour for no reason at all and they didn't even bother to call me or let me know what was going on. I went in yesterday because I got an alert that I was below 15% on oil life. I was told I would have to wait 40 minutes to get a free top off. So I came back today. Was told I had to wait 60 minutes. I waited 60 minutes and was told that I didn't need a top off, just an oil change. Even though I still had 2000 miles to go. They insisted this happened sometimes with "Hondas." It became clear that they just didn't want to do a free top off and wanted me to pay for an oil change. Clearly, this is not a business I will ever visit again. They are terrible. I will be returning to my regular place and likely never go to Jiffy Lube again. read more

I will NEVER go to Jiffy Lube again. Not this location. Not any location. I went in today to get an emissions test done on my car. Simple, right? I was told 10-15 minutes. After sitting in the waiting room for 10-15 minutes, they finally brought me out, I thought to sign the papers and go, but no. I was given the full sales job. "Do you want any of these services?" "Your coolant is low (which it wasn't). For $8.99 we can top it off." "You're a half quart low on oil. Can we top that off for you?" "Would you like us to changer your oil?" NO!!! Then, the kicker. The kid presents to me my air filter. I looked at him and said, "I didn't ask you to take my air filter out, I asked for an emissions test." His reply was, "We do that to all the cars." Which is precisely why I will never come back. For Jiffy Lube management, here's a tip: Don't do anything to my car unless you have my permission! I will never come back to this place because you went through my car to try to upsell me a bunch of overpriced services I don't need. I know that's how you make your money, but don't do it by taking advantage of people's ignorance. If you want to inspect my car, fine. Just tell me beforehand. At least the people were friendly. That's the only good thing I have to say about the place. To anyone else reading this, if you want to overpay for an oil change, have someone try to make you think you need a bunch of things you don't need then this is your place. Tough to support a business that doesn't want your business! I live in Syracuse and try to support local businesses. I'll even give them multiple attempts if an experience isn't ideal. what is amazing about this Jiffy Lube is that I can't even really pass judgement on their service because it is like they are actively trying to avoid providing service. I've tried multiple times over the last 2 years to get an oil change or emissions/registration done here and I literally get turned away. some times it is "we are too busy", other times it is "we are short staffed", other times "our equipment is down". Today's reason for not letting me give them my business was "my emissions tech is working on another car and we are painting". Drove to another option in Layton and was greeted promptly, given a wait expectation and got my service done. sucks that Layton gets my tax dollars but I'm done trying with Jiffy Lube in Syracuse. read more

I came here for an oil change. I drove up and the guy that "helped" me was not at all professional, helpful or nice. This was my first time ever coming here (and I told him that) and it was after work (between 4p-5p on a Thurs). The guy walked up to me and I said "Hi" in a friendly, smiling manner. He ignored me and asked if I had my registration, which I normally do as I always leave them in the glove department. However, the previous day I had received my tags and forgot to place the registration paperwork back in my glove department. I told him I left them at home, but could go back home and get them. He was very persistent and was adamant about my registration paperwork. I asked if he even needed them to do an oil change as I have never been asked for registration in order to have an oil change before and had no problem going home to get them. He rudely said, "No, I guess it's fine. Go have a seat and we'll call you when done." I was surprised with his "I hate my life and job" attitude, but decided to ignore it and went into the waiting area. I saw two other guys drive a Up and he was actually nice to them and even walked them over to the waiting area and opened the door for them. Was he rude to me because I'm a woman? I don't know, but whatever I just wanted my car taken care of and to be on my way. Once they were done he went into the waiting area and told me he was done. I then asked, "So did you really need my registration for this oil change? I don't have a problem sending you a copy via email once I get home or bringing it back because I do have active registration papers." His response was, "I already entered you in the system manually." So then I said, "But what about my registration information?" He said, "I pull up people's information from the system to make it quicker." Which I then said, but I told you this was my first time coming here and I just moved here from CO so how would I have been in the system?" He just seemed annoyed and walked away. I was appalled, but whatever. I understand people have bad days, which is fine, but sheesh this was just too much. Took my truck in for a safety inspection and failed due to a nail in tire then they started saying toe rods were loose Took ot to a different place and everything was fine. My 16 yr old took his truck there first and they just took advantage of him because he is young. Terrible terrible place. Stay away. I wish the was a "no star" rating. It's like dog to vomit I guess. For some reason someone in the family took one of my cars here again and they tightened the plug back on so much that I couldn't get it off. Ended up rounding off the plug and had to take it to them to get it off. In the process of getting them to correct their mistake they figured I wanted an oil change and instead of just loosening the plug so that I could fix it myself they did the full oil change. I came to get an emissions test at 4:20pm. They told me there was one person in front of me and it would be 30 minutes so do t leave since they close at 5:00pm. There are 4 technicians here talking with a buddy of there's that showed up. It's now been 45 minutes, the same car is in the bay (I think their friends car) the good hasn't been opened yet. 2 other people have shown up behind me, they were told 15 minutes. These other two customers along with my self are very irritated and are sitting here watching their horseplay. I moved here recently from California and needed a last minute oil change without such a long wait, because I normally make an appointment with Toyota. Tell me why this is the first time ever, in 6 years that my oil is still gray after paying for an oil change? And I just got my oil changed 2 days ago and I didn't even drive my car anywhere until today. I will not be doing my oil change anywhere but Toyota from now on because I can trust that my oil isn't going to gray/black after paying for it to get changed at Toyota. What ever happened to the good old prices of jiffy lube? Remember when they'd put the signs up saying "open bay! Next customer 19.95" so you'd get an oil change even if you didn't quite need one yet! Now they charge 41.99 with a rare 10 off coupon and they will match SOME competitor coupons as long as it's not cheaper that $25. Why bother matching coupons if there's gonna be more limits that anything. This place has gone downhill read more

I went in this morning just to have my safety inspection and emission test. I waited for 50 minutes. They said it would be about a 15 minute wait. There was me and one other customer there. Horrible customer service, worst place to get safety/emissions, was told my emissions passed but had to fix some things to pass safety, I fixed those set items, never received my failed papers the first time I went in. Came back in with issues fixed, was told I failed again on safety for a door handle which they never mentioned the first time around, went and fixed the handle. Brought truck back in for a third time, passed, had to ask for my safety n emissions papers. Wasn't told I failed emissions, just received a failed emissions paper, I asked why did I failed when I was told I passed the first time I came in, manager blamed me for miscommunication with employee which was completely false. They will never receive my business again, and I would refrain from giving them yours. read more

My car sorely needed oil, transmission, and coolant changes in addition to windscreen chip repairs. I decided to take my car to the Jiffy lube in Syracuse Utah due to Yelp reviews. I was not disappointed. I took it in on a busy Saturday afternoon and only had to wait a few minutes to get service. The mechanics friendly, knowledgeable, professional and efficient- they worked as a team to get the job done fast. Once my car was pulled in the full service took about 30 minutes; about half the time I expected. I was not pressured into anything I did not need. These guys are awesome. I'll be coming back to this location for my basic service needs again. read more

BEST oil change I've ever gotten. Customer service was unlike anything I've ever experienced at an auto shop. We drove up and they told us it would be about 10 minutes -- that is, 10 minutes from time we rolled up to time we were out of there. And you know what? It really was only 10 minutes! I was amazed. They also washed our windows, checked our AC, and vacuumed our car, all complimentary. I'm not from around the area, but if I lived in Syracuse, I would make this Jiffy Lube the only place I go to for my oil changes. read more

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Went in to have the Safety and Emissions done. There were two cars in the bay and we were told we were next. While waiting, we noticed a car that had come in several minutes after us had been pulled into the bay and was being worked on. We decided to leave. On the way out, they asked us why and I asked if they worked on the cars in the order that they came in. Their reply was "yes". I proceeded to tell them that they took the car ahead of us and the only response they would give us was "they only need an oil change". So those that need only oil changes are put to the front of the line? If oil changes kept coming in, would we have waited hours???? Say something in the beginning that the oil change only customers are given priority, don't just let us set there. They didn't care, not sorry's, nothing. We tried to call Jiffy Lube customer service to complain. Never did get to talk to anyone. Kept getting cut off. Poor customer service all the way around. WORST JIFFY LUBE EVER!!! I stopped by today for an emission only. kid says 15 min. All bays were full but employees were standing around bullshiting with each other. Even had time for a smoke break. I'm talking 2 cars in the drive 3 in the bay. 15 min turned into 20 with no movement in the bay. One of the employees walked out stating "I hope we hit car count, and it stops!" The brake service is a brake pad change. They do not have the capabilities to machine the rotors and can only replace the rotors at additional cost. You get pads and some lubricant for $169. Go elsewhere! read more

A couple reasons for the 1 Star. Main one is because we had an oil change done and they didn't screw the oil filter in and caused a pretty big oil leak while driving. We were just in time and got it fixed somewhere else ( so payed for oil and filter change TWICE). A different date had the air filter changed only to find out they forgot to put the new one in. Had my ac refilled (was still working when we drove it up , roughly still 3/4 quart in it they said) to find out after paying for 3lbs it was completely empty , went to a different jiffy lube and they managed to fix it there but still a very unnecessary hassle. There are a couple more things and we would never suggest nor recommend jiffy lube. We gave them plenty of shots thinking they had an off day. It ended up costing us more then go to a decent auto shop or even a dealer where it will be done right the first time. The people I talked to at jiffy are very nice , have never been rude to us or anything. In my personal experience they are better at customer service then fixing and maintaining cars. read more

This is the absolute worst Jiffy Lube ever. I try to support local businesses so i took my car in to get an oil change and emissions at this Syracuse Jiffy Lube. There was only one car there when I got there so they said it would be about 20 minutes. They didn't get done for 90 minutes. And when they finally finished they told me my car didn't pass emissions because they said my check engine light was on when I got there. My check engine light was not on when I got there so I asked them what they did to my car and they acted oblivious. My check engine light went off 10 minutes after leaving their station. Instead of going back there I went up the street to Redd's to get it retested. They said my car didn't even need emissions done, got me registered and sent me on my way. I will never, ever go back to this Jiffy Lube, or any for that matter, and will absolutely tell everyone I know to never go here again either. read more

These guys are incompetent and take three times as long as they say. If your a hot chick they stop work on everyone else's car to take care of your and in the end they overcharge and leave oil all over the top of the engine. Seriously the worst oil change I could have received short of leaving the filter off. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere competent and honest. Spoke with the manager about problems they caused and got excuses. Tried to cancel my card swipe while they fixed the incorrect charges and instead the manager signed for me and refused to fix it.
