I asked to also have the tire pressure checked and he said yes, but had the attitude of it was an inconvenience. My daughter went in for an oil change, Grease Monkey charged her for an extra quart. The next day…read moreshe was complaining her car was blowing white smoke when starting. Googled the issue and top hit was oil overfilled. Checked the oil level and it was 1/3 of the way up the stick or about 5 inches . I took it back and they drained the extra out saying some cars take more even for the same engine which was puzzling. Took home checked the level and it was still 1/5 up the stick or 2 inches. Took it back again and they redid the oil change showing me the level before I left. No more smoking. Fast forward two weeks, my son in law took his Audi A3 for an oil change to the same Grease Monkey in Clinton. I told him to tell them if his car needs more than 5 quarts which is the base price to say we'll add the rest at home. The base price for full synthetic was $89. When they finished and he went to pay they asked for $135. They said they used upgraded oil, filter, and whatever else. Nothing was told to him prior for the upsell. They just did the work. This Grease Monkey has been our go to up to this point. My daughter played soccer with the owner's granddaughter so I'm adding this review in hopes they see this and can make some policy or personnel changes. Until then I'll take my business elsewhere.

Today I took them my 2 of my boat trailer tires with puppy dog eyes and said we were going boating later and was it possible to get them done within the next 2hrs so we could still go. I was in and out in less than 30 min. As I left I thanked Dustin for the rapid service and Dustin told me, "of course we had to get you out there, have fun boating". Their mechanics are conscientious and honest. I have never been over charged and sometimes they cut a price break if something takes a lot longer than they anticipated. Also if they run into something unexpected the is more of a specialty and have to refer you to the dealer (which is rare) they will work to make it right. 2nd time having issues here now…read more I specifically requested an AC diagnostic and explained upfront that I had already replaced the compressor, had the system charged the day before, and that a full leak/pressure test had already been performed. Instead of moving forward with a true diagnostic, they repeated the exact same service (discharge and recharge) that had just been done, and then charged me $285 for it. In the end, I'm back to square one--still not knowing what's wrong with my AC, but now out the money for a redundant service I did not need. To make it worse, I was told I'd need to pay even more for a diagnostic... which is what I had asked for in the first place. Very frustrating and disappointing experience. Be careful coming here for service and make sure they're clear on what you're requesting, or you may end up paying twice without answers. Always ask for Donny. He is awesome! He wasn't available when this happened.

On my latest visit, I was coming in for emissions, and pulled up to the back doors. I was greeted by a technician upon exiting my car, and she checked me in at a garage computer. She didn't give me a time frame, but told me to wait in the waiting room. As I was walking to the waiting room, I saw she was checking in another vehicle that arrived after I did for a similar emissions and registration. While waiting, other customers were talking about the online coupons for emissions, so I checked the website and downloaded a $6 off emissions coupon. It seemed like the wait was a little longer than I expected since they didn't seem to be overly busy. I noticed that the vehicle that arrived just after I did was completed and paid before they finished my car. I must have got the slower tech I guess. I also had to wait again, while my car was left running just outside the bay doors, for the cashier to complete another customer before I could pay and get on my way. The waiting are had a restroom, drink vending machine, and several adequate but not comfy chairs. There were TV's mounted on the upper wall area, but they only showed a menu of service options and advertised their services, not any programming to watch. I will likely return here again for similar services in the future.
