With all the hustle and bustle we needed someone to come out immediately to install our washer and dryer as well as a dishwasher. I hopped on Yelp and called all 4 star and above handymen I could find. After trying 4 other places I gave Daubert a call and he was available to come out that day for 175. He took a look at the washer and dryer and said we needed different adapters. For the dishwasher her told us one of the parts was stripped. He told us he had to go pick them up and would have to charge us a little more and I agreed. While he was fixing I asked if he knew how to paint and he replied they did and I asked for a quote once he was done. He came back and put everything together. I came out of the office and noticed the dishwasher looked strange. He had forgotten to install the rubber seals along the edges and the pan on the bottom (all items that were on top of the dishwasher) he told me not a problem and got started taking putting them on. I returned to the office and when I came out he was already gone with 280$. I asked my wife and she informed me he left and said never mind to the quote because he had been hired by another business and he didn't know when he could paint. I noticed that he put the seals on incorrectly, on the outside. Ok no big deal I would call him the next day. My wife started laundry , set the dryer up and we went to bed. We woke up to a terrible smell. There was a huge gas leak coming from the laundry room. We called the gas company and reported it immediately. They came out, shut everything off and told me that whoever installed it should NOT have placed adapters and did it incorrectly. I called Daubert and let him know. He told me he had sprayed the Adapters and had not seen any bubbles. He asked if I could just turn the gas off since he was out of town and couldn't come by to fix it. I told him that the gas company had already done it , I text him the invoice and informed him we would be requesting a refund in the amount of the repair. Since the dryer was installed incorrectly, I ran the dishwasher to see if that was at least good. It wasn't working either. I called Daubert again and let him know, to which he proceeded to ask me "well was it working before?" Which was a silly question. No sir I bought a brand new dishwasher that doesn't work and am paying to have it installed. He let me know he was out of town and wouldn't be back until late. He could come by the next morning. He text me later and said he was still out of town. I asked if he had someone that he could send out. He let me know he didn't have anyone in town that he could trust with the job (which doesn't instill confidence) I asked for a day for him to come back out and he said he could come by the next day at 10 am. He text me back later that night and said not to get mad because he was out of town ( which was odd since I have been nothing but polite) I asked when he could come by and received the same response again. "Tomorrow" He didn't come by and when I text him he let me know he was still out of town and not having a party out there avoiding me. I let him know that at the end of the day we had hired his business to complete two jobs and both were done incorrectly resulting in a dangerous gas leak. I also let him know if he couldn't come by to fix it I would just have someone else come out and fix his faulty installations and he could refund us the money in full. Since he had said he could come out I scheduled painters after him and waiting for him placed our other projects on hold while we are trying to move in. After that day he has not taken my calls or responded to my text. I see that he had another negative review. The only good ones are of him performing small tasks like hanging a curtain or putting a bed together, it seems like appliances are not a part of his skill set. Once the repairs were complete I sent him an additional text letting him know and inquired about our refund. Radio silence Handyman? Nope Honest? Nope Reliable? Nope Now I am out 280$, but I hope this review helps keep others from making the same mistake I did. Take care Yelp family!

Gustavo came with a mask on and was honest with us about how our project would not be your quick standard tile project as it was with a paper backed small glass tiles that have to be on perfectly flat surface and the wall would have to be repaired first. He wasn't the cheapest or most expensive, but he gave us a totally fair & honest estimate and was professional & flexible the entire time. He and his staff wore masks throughout the several day project, protected the new quartzite counters & freshly painted cabinets. They always cleaned up & communicated what was going on. I really appreciated how he took the time that was needed to do the project correctly. He made sure the wall was properly prepped and leveled before ever applying the tile and it came out amazing.
