When you visit with the residents you will learn that what makes them happy is not the care they are getting but the people they call friends. They end up looking out for on another. The wellness Director does not take things seriously enough to deal with them. Instead things are blamed on the resident. To say that I am disgusted with the experience my mom has had over the last 10 months would be an understatement. Unless you have a loved who is just elderly but does everything as younger person without ANY care needs, my suggestion based on our families experience would be to look into another program. Do not let the modern building impress you. They provide less than adequate care - staffing shortages, rude dining staff, disrespectful front desk staff and a wellness director who looks like she works at a night club or lounge not like she is an LPN caring for humans. This apartment complex we found by driving by to go to the local Avondale Senior Center. We popped…read morein to visit and saw a young lady helping an elderly lady to her car and placing her bags in the seat for her. We had no idea this was the manager of the complex. We were shocked to see such caring and compassion coming from the property manager. As she greeted us and welcomed us back to her office, we started asking questions about the property and availability and she was very thorough and helpful. She explained the waitlist process and we were fine with that. The community is exceptionally maintained and operated by the property manager. We have visit quit a few properties after this property and we will be the first to say A good community for seniors is best ran when the company running the facility hires a perfect candidate like this manager. This is not an assisted living facility this is an independent living facility, so the residents here are very active and social. We would recommend this place to any one we know. We would recommend calling these facilities first and not just showing up, we realized after the fact how busy the manager was once we were there and the traffic of residents she deals with. The property is very well maintained and the facility has a home feeling. I love the spirit and compassion of the manager and would recommend this place to all my elderly friends and family.

When I moved her to Arizona 4 years ago, she lived in another assisted living community. While their set up and facility was nice, I didn't get the sense that the staff truly cared for my mom. I moved her into A Paradise for Parents primarily because their home was 3 blocks away from my home and the atmosphere was so friendly and caring. She moved in just before the Covid-19 pandemic began. The staff took such great care of my mom. They met her needs for daily grooming, bathing, assisting with eating. Chris was my mom's favorite care giver. He treated her with such dignity and respect, she grew to trust and love him so very much. They even brought in special meals for birthdays, holidays and special events. The owner, Hal was frequently present, visiting with residents, getting to know each one of them, where everyone felt like family. Hal hosted themed parties at the house, brought in musicians, hair stylists, actors dressed up for special occasions, he wanted residents to have fun in what is often the most difficult times for our loved ones. Aurora, the center director is so loving and kind. She always kept me abreast of changes in my mother's health and needs. I only call out by name the staff I know by name, but every single staff member cared for my mother and the other residents with so much love and for that our family is eternally grateful. We moved my mother back home to Nebraska as the end of her life drew near to be closer to more family. I wish the team from A Paridise for Parents could have gone with her. The staff even called me shortly after her move to check in on her to see how she was doing and to let her know they missed her. I know my mother missed them too. When I tried to follow up, I received one text from Hal on June 29th asking me if he could get back to me later in the week. I never heard from him. I texted him again on July 13th and also called him. I never heard back. The lack of response is unprofessional and concerning. I love my father and do all I can to make sure he is in a safe, healthy place and take his care very seriously. It is frustrating that a place that prides itself on helping the elderly is so dismissive and unresponsive.
