I began receiving text messages from my brother that he was concerned about her care. She wasn't sleeping due to the noise and she said they treated her like luggage and were very rough with her. On the afternoon of 4/9 I received a text from my brother the her edema had spread from one leg to both legs and her arms. Her oxygen was at 87. He requested an ambulance for her to go to the hospital and she passed away a few hours later. My Mom had many drug allergies and I'm not sure anyone paid attention to the potential side effects of the pain meds she was given for 4 days. Side effects which include low oxygen and swelling in the arms and legs. I feel my Mom's care was subpar and her care did not seem to be a priority as her health quickly declined in the 5 days she was there. We paid $4000 for her 5 days there. We requested a partial refund for the days before she arrived as well for the remainder of the month. To our dismay that request was denied. We thought she was in a safe place now we are left without our Mom and are despondent about her final days under their care.

While the staff seemed nice and the house appeared clean, my grandmother complained that the staff was rough with her and that she experienced quite a bit of pain when being moved around. She had recently had neck surgery so you'd assume that they would have taken extra precautions to ensure her comfort. Additionally, she began to experience severe edema and when the staff was asked about it, our family was told that it was "normal". The edema became so severe that she was literally leaking fluid from her legs and the staff simply put pads under her to protect the mattress. Meanwhile, my poor grandmother was left in wet clothes because her legs continuously leaked. Sadly, the situation became even worse and the edema moved up to her arms and the skin on her legs began to split, at which point staff contacted us and they were instructed to transfer her to the ER, where just 9 hours later, she passed away. She was in the care of this facility for six days. Just SIX days before dying. Our family paid $4000 for six days of, what I feel, was sub par treatment and we're now left wondering if we made a terrible mistake by choosing this facility. (I'd also like to add that they kept the full $4000 for the 5 1/2 days she was there. That's a cost of nearly $730 per day.)

Kenroy is good at safely transporting and does notice medical needs or change in things but he sometimes is in his own world with cell phone vs interacting and connecting with patients. It is beautiful and nice rooms -well cared for property and clean! However the owner Nathan gives a great sales pitch of everyone "is like family" but he really doesn't know his guests and defers too much to a young and inexperienced staff, nor does he listen to client feedback, and is under staffed which over works his team to exhaustion (which then hinders the overall patient care). The team tries but they are not trained on how to safely care for and transport guest patients that need assistance. The hospice nurses try to teach them medical things to look for but the team never calls with emergency health care needs to either 911 or nursing resources. They do offer great program of two times a week physical group therapy and has someone come in 2 x week for activities -which is a nice perk. Overall the place is ok with some perks you don't get in other places with food, therapy and activities. However the management is over promises expectations and doesn't train or help train staff to the quality of care that its residence deserve. They dropped my mother many times, and also have dropped a friend that she made there too many times. They transport her without regard to the bruising they cause and they let me mother sleep in the floor all night bc she fell and they could not get her until the male attendant arrived in AM. Vs have called 911 to get help or me for that matter. - it acceptable and bc the team was under experienced and exhausted they left her to sit in a bed of urine all night til arrived in AM around 9 -not acceptable either. Then to top it off when she died I got one call from owner and told to get things out with in 48 hrs of her passing. No condolence card or follow up call later. And not one person spoke to me to tell me what happened. They left it all up to the nurse to address which didn't give me any closure for questions about her last moments -they treated me like they didn't even know me or told to not speak to me. -not sure why. I spent every days there for 6 weeks. You would think they would at least give me a hug or word of condolences. The final slap was when they returned my mothers things the laundry was not clean and it was still soiled. Not the thing you want to deal with when you are dealing with the loss of your mother. If you choose this place be sure to watch carefully and be there often. The food is great the place is clean but the owner has a lot of false promises and paints an unrealistic picture. He is definitely in it first and foremost for the $s and not the quality of care that the guests and their families are paying for and deserve.

A number of improvements must have been made in the last 4 years as I find it comfortable safe and secure to be here. No it is not a five-star resort but for an assisted living facility which I've been to a few this one is nice. There is the definite difficulty with so many of us in our senior years that need to feel comfortable and well cared for and a paramount necessity for feeling safe.

The caregivers couldn't read English and messed up her medicine and told the nurse that she wasn't allowed to give medication but was the only one at the house watching The residence. Our mother fell more that once and we wasn't notified that her toe was cut open. I even went to visit her and nothing was said. Lidia is supposed to contact hospice and the family. . Lidia the owner argued that they didn't know what happen when they even have cameras in the room. When hospice CNA went out to give her the shower, she noticed her toe was badly cut and reported it to the hospice nurse on Tuesday. Then Lidia said Our mother fell on a Sunday When the hospice nurse went out on Tuesday she had to get stitches. They let our mother sit in feces. Caregiver told the hospice CNA that she couldn't clean her up Then Lidia got mad when it was reported to hospice and wanted the CNA pulled out to not do showers anymore The hospice CNA's are supposed to report and their notes of everything that happens with the patient while they are there Speaking with the hospice we was Informed that we needed to remove our mother ASAP Lidia could never answer any of hospice questions every time they went out to see Our mother. Medication's were always messed up And there's so much more to report. Hospice And alteck had our mother, removed The next day. All tech reported to adult protection services failure to care for an elderly person Lidia lost all our mother's clothing, her glasses and argued with us about it How can her clothing and personal items be lost when our mother never left the home? Lidia informed us that her roommates drunk son went in and took all of our mother's items when we asked for her stuff. I would check with adult protection services before placing your loved ones in this home. and from our understanding, Lidia has two homes that she has the elderly people living in The Glendale police report also took a report on how the front windows was opened with no screens and people with dementia was living in his home Due to the all tech contract, Lidia was supposed to refund the $500 deposit and she still hasn't and told us she won't so we have to file papers to take her to court. Now that our mother has been removed, she has gained weight. She has not had a UTI and they backed her off on all the meds that Lidia wanted to keep her on. She has not fallen. When at Lidia's house, she fell three times due to not having a caregiver to watch her, especially with cameras. The caregiver told us that Our mother wouldn't let her sleep at night. I would never place a loved one under the care of Lidia due to She does not take care of them and it's only a paycheck to her. Which she receives 3000 to 5000 for each person living in that home. And still to this day, we never received any of my mother's clothing, which she is petite and Lidia wanted to try to give us extra large. They lost her glasses And everything had Our mothers name on them. We would buy her shampoos and soaps, and those were always missing. When transported her medication one of the bottles was empty. Which is funny when hospice would keep her prescriptions updated This is a poor place that adult protection services had to be involved with due to failure of care and The Glendale police report showed that the front windows were open with no screens and people with dementia live there. I would never even place a rat in this home under her Lidia's care. Lidia is the rudest person that you could ever dealt with and has no common sense on how to take care of people with dementia. Alteck that's the state of Arizona reported to adult protection services of elderly Failure to care. Hospice even reported of her failure of care She was also investigated for double dipping in funds Boswell Hospital gave her $5000 until all tech kicked in and Lidia Double dipped

My biggest issue, NO ONE and I do mean NEVER EVER does the skilled facility actually answer the phone, so there is no way to call and check in on your loved one if they aren't capable of answering/ calling you. Second biggest issue was medications, I was not told to bring the meds from home (I place that error on the hospice) but after he was there they requested the meds, so I drove there after work with the meds. The nurse on only took 2 or 3 stating they received the rest delivered from the pharmacy. I good, right? Wrong. The night shift nurse in day 3 calls me (Bless her) and says, hey did you know we only have some of his meds? I drive over and bring his meds again. When they sent him home, didn't send all the meds home, lol had to drive over to pick up and 2 of the med bottles were lost forever. At this point i want to mention it's a 45 min drive from my home one way, blah. He did have a fall at the facility, while using the restroom alone. No real injuries and they did notify me (The nurse used her personal cell so she did answer when I returned that call)!
