We came here on a Sunday afternoon, when they just opened, hoping to grab a dinner. They didn't have much food available at the time and only had "snacks." A "snack" menu, in my opinion, was not just underwhelming, but also overpriced, especially $11 for a small plate of essentially plain fries. And this is coming from a person who spends wayyyyy too much money going out. Most options we saw were just base-line ingredients of a disassembled girl dinner. Which could have raided my fridge for then. I'm hoping the actual dinner menu is much better, but I'm not sure when (and if) I'd give it a shot, to be honest.

Really lovely experience here. Fresh food with shareable plates, lovely atmosphere, great staff. If you have to wait for your reservation , there are 2-3 other little bars you can check out while you do so. Everything we had was delicious and the portions are perfect - we did 4-5 shared and then individual mains, and that was more than enough. Try everything- the menu is tight for a reason!

We came here on the pre dinner snack menu just to get a quick bite and the menu was very limited and on the over priced side. The good was okay but just didn't feel worth the value. Done better snack options would have been better since we weren't in a mood for pizza. Service was still good. Though I am curious what is in the dinner menu if I am ever around. Nice indoor and outdoor seating as options.

After striking out at Howard's and facing a huge wait at Clark's, we accidentally stumbled into Pecan Square right behind it. I've always heard people rave about this spot, and it totally lived up to the reputation. The second I saw the wood-fired pizza oven, I knew what we were getting. The pizza was phenomenal and didn't let us down one bit. Great atmosphere and even better food and drinks!

The absolute best fresh salad! It was so good and crispy!

Let me just warn you - parking is a B, but it is absolutely worth it to eat here!! We sat outside in the adorable courtyard and the waiter brought us and our dog water. The fish and lily pads were unexpected in the garden area and I love it!! I want that at my house lol We started with the pecan bun - because that's what everyone recommended. It wasn't my favorite. I did like the very center of it though. I got the mixed greens salad with an egg and it is probably the best salad I've ever had! The fresh lettuces and herbs were so delicious!! The dressing was so good too. I could have eaten two of these and left it at that. I got the chickpea crepe with goat ricotta and orange marmalade. This wasn't my favorite, but I am not a goat cheese person so I was hoping being ricotta I would like it. The crepe and marmalade were good though. My husband had the burger and fries and he said it was exactly what he wanted. It was cooked well and excellent portion sized. We will definitely be back and take our family when they're in town.

Finding a spot to park was tricky but it was worth driving around the neighborhood and a bit of a walk. There is a bar inside that is bright and inviting. Our table was against the wall, near a little fireplace. I was meeting friends. We had zucchini fritti which were great. Our waiter told us his favorites. He recommended the sausage and eggs. I didn't order that but my friend did. It looked great. He cleaned his plate as if he were a little kid trying to be a member of the clean plate club. I ordered the burger. It was perfectly cooked. Next time, I would order it without the tomato. The caramelized onions were perfect as were the fries.

Had a great Valentine's Day dinner here! The design of the space is super cool to start off with. We ordered the carrot ginger soup, burger, mezzaluna, and the flourless chocolate torte. The mezzaluna was even pink for the holiday! We sat at the counter by the kitchen which was fun to watch the food being prepared. The chocolate torte definitely was a highlight - really good.

This is a really swanky place. We stopped by for my birthday because it popped up on (Yelp) and figured we'd give it a go. Seems to be a pretty popular date night spot to be honest and the price tag matched the environment. I did wish there was a little more food on my plate, but I enjoyed it. It was really cool cause they had an outdoor area where kids could play if they wanted.

Pecan Square Cafe gives full on adobe western energy with a side of elegance. I got this recommendation from a guy at our hotel pool and he nailed it. Think laid back sophistication and plates that surprised me. I started with a crab salad. It was chunks of cold crab in a white sauce set over green beans. Then, my tile fish came swimming in a zesty white sauce that i perked up for. Our service was very friendly!

I'm still convinced the sticky buns and their pizzas are the stars of the show! On this recent trip, they had a broccolini pizza with a chili crisp that was absolutely divine. To make it a little more breakfast-y, we added a fried egg which was good!

    Beautiful water lilies outside!

It was nice to have a lighter/healthier alternative on our Austin trip, and it was a welcome change from the streak of bbq. We came on a Sunday without a reservation and it wasn't a problem. The cafe interior was decorated really cutely and the service was . Here's what we ordered: *Pecan sticky bun - a little crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, yum! *Carrot soup - because it was a little cold inside and it did the trick! It had hints of lemon, ginger, and was topped with some mint *Provençal salad with roasted chicken - Chicken on the salad was seasoned well, but a bit dry. That was everyone's least favorite (only because everything else was so good!) *Broccolini cheese pizza since it was unique. It tasted like broccoli soup, and had a nice crust *Smoked kingfish tartine - all of our favorite dish! It was a bit salty since they loaded it up with so much fish, but it was tasty and I loved the bursts of flavor from the roe

Such an elevated cafe experience! The vibes are unmatched. I absolutely love the open kitchen, their interior (and exterior) designer needs a raise! Staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. Plus their patio is pet friendly and pours fresh water for the pups! I can tell the food was well crafted, so delicious too. I've yet to try their dinner menu, but their happy hour deals always get me hooked. This was my second time back and had to leave a review to express my gratitude for this unique cafe.

Once we walked through Manny's, we were greeted right away and since we had a reservation, we were seated promptly. Quick heads up: cell phones aren't allowed inside -- they take your phone and give you a key to a locker where it's stored for the night. The idea is to keep everyone present and engaged with each other instead of their screens (they do make exceptions for emergencies or on-call situations, at the business's discretion). I actually love the reasoning behind it, even though I wished I had my phone to snap pictures of the inside! The space itself is dark and moody with major art deco Miami vibes, like something out of the 80s-90s. Think pink velvet draped everywhere, a life-size taxidermy leopard in the middle of the bar, and flamingo sculptures scattered throughout. It's gorgeous. There's plenty of seating between the booths/couches and the bar, and they seat you according to your party size. We got a plush half-circle booth with a table that fit all of us perfectly -- great sightlines too, so everyone could see and talk to each other easily. Each table gets an assigned server, and ours was fantastic. We ordered cocktails along with the yuca fries, empanadas, and quesadillas -- all delicious. I can't remember the name of my cocktail, but it was pink, gin-based, and so good, served in a beautiful tall stem glass. Loved everything about this place and will absolutely be back next time I'm in town!

She had the most miserable scowl on her face. My girlfriend and I were dressed very nicely (pants & jacket, and a dress), so I know this was not a outfit issue. I do not know what her issue was, but if you are tired and don't like staying up late, don't work in a bar. After saying that there was only standing room, I decided that I was not going to spend money in an establishment that speaks to people in such a disgusting way, so I proceeded to leave. One of the guys out front asked what was wrong and asked if he could buy us a drink, but at that point I decided that I would not spend a dime at this place. Just giving a heads up! The bartender claimed I was drunk and cut me off anyway. I was at the bar talking to a girl while waiting to get a drink (the wait was long because the service is very slow, despite the bar not being very busy at all). She was clearly into me, and the bartender kept jumping in trying to talk to her too (instead of doing his job making drinks). He was doing all sorts of things to try and flirt with her and make her laugh: pulling out and showing her buckets of pre mixed cocktails, running and sliding under the bar, etc. She was engaging with both of us , and right in the middle of that, I get cut off out of nowhere. No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there.
