    American Breakfast: Over-Medium Eggs Bacon
    Colin R.

The environment was pretty cool! The first time I've seen an outdoor patio where there were bugs attacking me. The food was also good as well, not sure if I'm crazy but I've never seen jelly that spreads smoothly but this is it! I got the biscuit basket and the American breakfast with over-medium, and bacon. Bacon was good and the eggs were perfectly runny for over-medium in my opinion. Biscuits are super crumbly and fluffy but kind of dry without butter and jelly. And my girlfriend got the Açaí bowl, she says she enjoyed it so A+ there. Prices are reasonable and the staff was nice.

Had a reservation for brunch at Fat Rabbit Social House known for its brunch-forward dishes, expertly crafted cocktails, and specialty coffee served in downtown Austin, TX. Was downtown for SXSW and my event ended early so I headed to the restaurant before the reservation time and when I checked in, was given a bit of a hard time about requesting to be seated early even though there were no other customers. When the other party arrived, we were greeted promptly and received friendly service. The atmosphere is cute and has a fun brunch vibe, but unfortunately the food didn't match the setting. We tried to order mimosas with our meal but were informed we could not because it was too early on a Sunday. Started the meal with the Biscuit Basket that included 4 house-made biscuits served with fresh seasonal jam and whipped butter. The biscuits were served warm and very tasty with blackberry preserves that was so incredibly flavorful and hit the spot. I ended up ordering the Citrus and Crab Salad with Lump crab, avocado, pepitas, Texas ruby red grapefruit, fennel, romaine, and peppercorn citrus vinegarette for my brunch entree and I was not impressed at all. The price point was very high for the portion size and quality and the crab seemed frozen. The salad just fell flat as the ingredients did not deliver on flavor. Overall, I really wanted to like this place, but based on this visit, it didn't deliver. Hoping it was just an off day, but no plans to return.

I would first like to say that the service here was excellent. The restaurant was very cute. The outside set up is perfect for a beautiful sunny day. Me and my girlfriend just wanted to have a nice little brunch snack so we ordered the chicken and waffle as well as a hot chai latte. That waffle was absolutely amazing. It was very light and fluffy but still full of flavor. The chicken was fried to perfection and I like that they use chicken thighs so that it was not dry. The chai latte was delicious very smooth but with a little spice, we also got a side of bacon and the bacon was your standard bacon cooked very well. I would 100% return to this restaurant the next time I visit Austin.

Out of towner here! Booked a reservations a few weeks before my vacation and I'm glad I did. This place gets busy! Service was great. Very tiny place, outside patio seems a bit bigger. Was raining that day and snagged an inside table luckily. Food was delicious and the $10 mimosa deal...wow!

A "little hidden gem" located in the heart of downtown Austin! This is a breakfast/brunch/lunch spot that serves American cuisine. I went on a Friday morning around 9 AM and it wasn't that busy but I do think they get a crowd early morning and lunch as they are located inside another building. There are limited spots (free) directly in front of restaurant and also a parking garage located next to. The service provided was very attentive. We ordered French toast which was phenomenal and the chicken and waffles were delicious. I would recommend coming here with a friend or two or even solo as it's very lowkey. Not too big and the decor is very festive! The patio seating was nice but it was too cold to sit out.

This place is adorable--warm wood, playful art, cozy seating, and a vibe that invites you to stay awhile. The ambience absolutely does its job. Add to that a spotless bathroom (and yes, that always matters), and you start off feeling hopeful. Now... the food is where things became a little hit-or-miss. Fried Goat Cheese Balls ($12) These were the standout. Fried perfectly crisp, and the lavender goat cheese paired with clover honey and cracked black pepper worked beautifully. I'd order these again without question. Shrimp & Grits ($18) This one missed the mark for me. I'm from the South, so shrimp and grits is near and dear to my heart. While the shrimp were cooked well, the cheesy poblano grits and house creole sauce just didn't deliver that creamy, comforting, creole-style flavor I was craving. It leaned more modern than soulful. Not terrible--just not what I hoped for. Chicken & Waffles ($14) This was enjoyed at the table, especially the light, crispy waffle. The chicken thighs were good, though I felt they could've been cooked just a bit less for my preference. Still a decent dish, just not memorable for me but my granddaughter enjoyed them. Drinks The Aperol Spritz ($12) was well made and refreshing--honestly did some heavy lifting here. The Lavender Chai ($9) was smooth, lightly floral, and comforting. A nice choice if you enjoy subtle lavender notes. Service Carson was attentive, pleasant, professional, and genuinely funny--great service always counts, and he did a wonderful job. Final thoughts: The atmosphere and service are strong, and there are a couple of solid menu wins, but overall the food didn't quite rise to the occasion for me. I wanted more flavor and more "wow," especially for the price point. I might return for drinks and appetizers, but based on this visit, three stars feels fair.

So I didn't know this place was inside a hotel. It is small. They have an inside outside but very cute. When you arrive, the hosts was super nice and even greeted my little puppy and was in love with him. I thought since I had them, they'd see us outside, but they let us sit inside with him, which was so nice of them. Our waiter he was so nice and you went to recommend and very sweet to my little dog as well. Me and my friend both got the pork belly eggs Benny and I have to say they were good but they were missing a little flavor to them. I have to say the french fries were so darn good. I could literally go back and just eat that. I definitely wanna go back and try the rest of their food because the people next to got one of the breakfast sandwiches that I was ironing and it looked phenomenal. Their April spirits I ended up having two of them because they were so good. I know you're probably thinking. How can you mess up an app Raul spirits but some people actually can, and this place knew how to measure everything out correctly in it. Overall, definitely gonna go back here really cute vibe brunch spot.

Open for breakfast and lunch. They do have a parking garage below them it's $7 for every 30 min and a small parking lot right out front. They have a nice shaded patio and indoor seating Hot or iced coffee drinks. I got an iced mocha and it was bland Starbucks makes a better one Portions on the food was decent for the price. The açaí bowl was nice and sweet. We ordered it as an appetizer but it came out with our food and worked perfectly for a dessert, the potato's with the bendedict was the right amount of salt and crunch, the brunch burrito had a protein option and pretty filling, the crab citrus salad was nice, light, and refreshing but could use some cheese. Overall I would come back if I could park in their lot and not the garage.

This is the cutest brunch place ever! We went here for my sister's bachelorette trip and it was perfect. The decor of the place is very garden tea party like and Alice in Wonderland. We got mimosas for the table and they had a variety of juices to choose from. My goat cheese truffle sandwich was so amazing! I wish I got a picture of it but that's how good it was. I added an egg on it. All the staff were extremely nice and efficient in their service.

We visited as out-of-towners during a busy SXSW Saturday and were so impressed! Despite the festival crowds and not having a reservation, the wait was only about 30-45 minutes. While waiting for the rest of our party to show up, we realized the patio is dog-friendly and great for people-watching! The manager was incredibly accommodating and went out of their way to seat our group of five (four adults and a toddler) at a clean, bright table with a great view of the whole space. The natural lighting, upbeat music, and friendly staff give this place a truly unique and welcoming vibe. A huge shoutout to our server, Dixie! They were a total rockstar--attentive, helpful, and stayed on top of everything our table needed. For the Table: We started with the Biscuit Basket and the Mimosa mix. My spouse ordered The Pork Belly Benedict and Rowdy Delight Latte and both were fantastic. I had the Cranberry Mimosa and the Rowdy Fries, which was super filling! My sister and brother in law loved the Shrimp & Grits and the Chicken & Waffles (plus chocolate milk for the little one). We had a fantastic first-time visit and hope to return soon!

This place has a very cute cozy vibe with good brunch options and adorable bunny decor. The waitstaff was nice though I felt our waiter was preoccupied and was wearing a sweatshirt that looked dirty. I had a very delicious perfectly mixed matcha latte followed by the chicken and waffles. I felt the chicken could use more seasoning. My friend had the American breakfast and really liked their bacon. I tried the potatoes and they were seasoned very well though I prefer them to be crispy. Overall it was just ok. Good spot and pretty affordable but I didn't any wow factor.

Tucked away on the first floor of an office building is a new brunch spot. They do have parking out front and plenty of seating. It was pretty empty when we came on a weekend so we were seated quickly. Service was kind of a miss as it took a long time to get noticed. It wasn't until the front hostess had to flag someone down for us. We ordered the American breakfast with fried chicken and the chicken and waffles. The American breakfast was pretty standard, but the potatoes were bland. Could definitely use any kind of seasoning! The chicken and waffles were nothing extraordinary. The chicken was crispy, but dry, and the portion was pretty small compared to your size of the waffle.

They had no issues when taking our second round order while we were seated, but we were asked to leave the table immediately after. This round also took forever and we drank it standing, crowded, in everyone's way. I was embarrassed as it was my birthday, and I was taking a group of 7 other people - new to Austin - here to check out what was one of my favorite spots. I was bragging about it and chose it over other spots on their list. They hated it. I'm disappointed. Our server was great to us and apologetic about the service bar.

There are some tables, and big comfy couches around a coffee table in the middle of the bar which is where we sat. My friend got one of their floral cocktails which wasn't discounted but I LOVED it personally. I also got a strawberry matcha drink (non alcoholic) that was a little too sweet in my opinion; I finished it but wouldn't get it again. Overall though the cocktails and vibe in there are worth a visit alone! When it's not too hot, the area outside has little mini-chandeliers and is also very vibey.

I usually only go to coffee shops to work, but today, went on a coffee date with my dog instead. There's ground floor parking in the garage that's complimentary for two hours. I kept it simple with a vanilla latte. I noticed they had tacos at the bottom of the food menu, but at $13.25 for two tacos + an a la carte item, I decided to pass. Maybe my expectations were too high (as usual) because it's inside a hotel, but I was hoping for the kind of warm hospitality hotels are known for, but instead, the service felt a bit cold. It didn't exactly make me want to spend more money there. While sitting on the patio, I spotted the food truck outside and thought, "PERFECT. A food truck HAS to be cheaper. Take that Simona's!" I walked up to the window... only to find out it wasn't actually a separate food truck. It was just the pickup window. To order? I had to go back inside to Simona's and place my order with the delightful staff... I ended up ordering two Blue Migas tacos, and honestly, they were just... good, but nothing memorable. They tasted like your average breakfast tacos that you can find all over Austin for less. Despite loving how relaxing the outdoor patio is with its lucious greenery surrounding you and the beautiful French chairs and cafe tables, it's located right next to the hotel pool. If you're visiting on a summer afternoon, expect some extra noise with pool guests. If you're looking for a quiet coffee or a place to work, I'd recommend coming early in the morning instead.

The bartender claimed I was drunk and cut me off anyway. I was at the bar talking to a girl while waiting to get a drink (the wait was long because the service is very slow, despite the bar not being very busy at all). She was clearly into me, and the bartender kept jumping in trying to talk to her too (instead of doing his job making drinks). He was doing all sorts of things to try and flirt with her and make her laugh: pulling out and showing her buckets of pre mixed cocktails, running and sliding under the bar, etc. She was engaging with both of us , and right in the middle of that, I get cut off out of nowhere. No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there.
