If you're looking for a good breakfast in Brussels, Peck 47 is the place to go. We visited on a rainy day and had to wait outside only for a second. Luckily, the outside seats are under an awning and the café serves great coffee; waiting was definitely no punishment. Once inside, we encountered a smartly decorated place with a friendly staff. They serve food that's suspiciously simple, yet well-prepared and thought out. On top of that, they serve a variety of yummy drinks, so you can easily make your breakfast mildly alcoholic, while still remaining classy. We'll definitely come back here when we return to Brussels! read more

Do not be fooled by reviews here as they are clearly not accurate. Tried to go here this morning but it was so small there was no way. Went back in the afternoon and this is by far the saddest service you could ever expect. A young blond waitress was so overwhelmed and untrained it was hard to watch. Beware as the food is not anywhere worth the disrespectful service and poor management. To top that off, the place is dirty with dishes piled up on a cart at the door. Just not good in any way. The most amazing vegan burger!! Definitely worth a try. However, it is quite a pricey place. Also, my burger was meant to have sweet potatoes and avocado in it but they were out of the two. Great find for breakfast! Was a bit worried because we had a tour that was starting at 10 & they don't open until 9. They were veery fast though & it was a perfect start to our busy day! I had the cheesy one. 2 poached eggs on a leak waffle with cheddar cheese & their psycho sauce. Wow! Delicious! I don't know what's in the sauce but it had just a little kick & I loved it. My husband had the drunken sailor: a homemade leek waffle, house-cured salmon , poached eggs & psycho sauce. Terrible! We waited outside which was fine. Once we got in we had to wait about 15 minutes for anyone to come over to us let alone take our order. The servers were not attentive whatsoever and it felt like they forgot about us. I then payed €3.50 for a tiny cappuccino I had to wait at least ten minutes for. We then waited almost half an hour for our food. I ordered the Peck Special and I was really excited, thinking maybe the food would be so great that I wouldn't care due to all the great reviews. My food arrived and for €14 all I got was half a waffle, with maybe a couple bites of chorizo, completely over cooked poached eggs with perhaps a drizzle of the sauce. While that was bland the salad was worse. To fill up the plate due to the tiny amount of waffle, there was a bunch of undressed leaves and 2 cherry tomatoes!! When we asked for the bill we were completely ignored and I had to stand up to ask the server for the bill. We asked if we could split the bill and the server was very rude when he said that they don't do that. The server then huffed away and we left feeling bad about the whole experience. Californian visiting Brussels. I was only in Brussels for one night and had to get waffles before I left, so I chose this place. The food was kickass. I got the Cheesy One waffle and the psycho sauce on it was great. I also got fresh pressed apple juice that the guy pressed right there. Brunch places like this are plentiful in North America but such a gem in Europe. We ended up eating here twice in 4 days. The Benny's are pretty good, and I love that they come with a side salad instead of the usual potatoes. The smoothies are killer, especially the basil, vanilla and lemon one. If you're looking for awful customer service and rude employees topped with mediocre meals, this is the place! We entered the establishment and were met with no one to seat us. After finally being seated we were given menus with food on them. My family ordered and we were brought dirty cups and silverware. During a 48 hour visit to Brussels we came here three times. Limited vegetarian options, but what they do have is downright delicious. I loved the breakfast granola and yogurt parfait infused with lavender and honey. Never before have I loved a parfait so much, and I'm quite sad to know I may not make it back to Brussels for years, if ever, to taste it again. Also loved the smoothies. My husband had the one with chili in it, and mine was orange with coconut and turmeric. I promise you can't taste the turmeric. This place was amazing. I may have been sleep deprived and starving but it was truly the best brunch I have had in quite some time! I started off the morning with a mimosa (mostly prosecco, but I won't tell if you won't!). Then I ordered the Belgian sandwich, not the exact name, but you'll know what I mean. This sandwich was served on delightfully crunchy sour dough bread with feta, sausage and roasted tomatoes! It was amazing. It was also served with this crazy green pea/ pistachio soup that I dunked my sandwich in and it made it even better! My friends all loved their meals as well. They all opted for true brunch items. Including the poached eggs Benedict and the savory bacon waffles! If you are in the mood for brunch, this is a must visit! The service was incredible and everyone was so friendly. I've tried many brunches and this one is one of the best. The Peck Special was super delicious with its Belgian waffle, pouched egg, and chorizo. Soooo soooo asavory and delicious and worth every cent of its €11. My friends also ordered the Egg Sausage Fest and they were also in Brunch Heaven. Drinks were great as well especially the kale smoothie and white monkey tea. We came around 2pm and there was barely a line. It only took about 15 min to get us four seated. The brunch here is delicious and the decor is so cute and feels so New York. After arriving in Brussels around noon, tired and jet lagged from travel, we stumbled upon Peck 47. The atmosphere was so welcoming and comfortable, murals on the wall and rustic elements had very much a Soho vibe. I ordered the veggie Eggs Benedict which comes on a wholewheat waffle. The waffle is thin and glutenous enough to hold up to the moisture of the eggs and sauce. It soaks up the Hollandaise which is delicious and not too heavy. The eggs were poached to perfection and paired so nicely with the wholesome waffle. I don't think I can go back to Eggs Benedict on anything besides waffles now! On the side was a small green salad that was lightly dressed, fresh and light. I also got the smoothie with basil and wow, I need to start adding it to all of my smoothies. The flavor was definitely basil-y but not overpowering and somehow worked so well in the creamy smoothie. This is the perfect casual brunch spot, and lunch looks excellent as well. The sourdough paninis look absolutely delicious (and huge). A must try in Brussels! read more

As a previous reviewer stated, this is a tourist trap. The good food was soured by the awful service. We arrived and the place was empty. We were the only customers in the restaurant. We both ordered waffles and drinks. Our drinks came, followed by my waffle. I completely finished my meal and my husband's plate hadn't even arrived. While I was eating, serval other parties came in and there were quite a few guests - all were being served, while he was waiting to eat. We asked for the bill and I informed the waitress he didn't want to have his waffle served since I already finished. His meal was not even on the bill - did they even start making it??? I highly doubt it. I am not going to lie, the food was delicious, but not worth the money since the service is not up to par. read more

This is a great little spot to get some fantastic waffles. When you're used to just a waffle with some cream cheese or strawberries, you will be pleasantly surprised by a full breakfast, with a waffle stuffed with goodies, two eggs poached, bacon, and a salad. This place was mediocre at best. The food was okay, the smoothies were warm and the service lacking. Our server was friendly and did a good job explaining things. On the flip side this has been the slowest service I've had in Europe so far. The lemonade tasted more like lemon water and the smoothies (as stated before) were warm/room temperature. They would have been delicious had they been cold! My hot chocolate was way too hot and bland. My friend had the poached eggs/waffle and said it didn't taste good.
