What a great experience for a spin class first timer!…read more Came with small group to try a new fitness activity since they have a $10 first timer promo (that comes with rental shoes, which is a steal!). None of us have tried spin class before but the friendly staff, fun vibes and clean facility made this a great first experience. We all got a good workout and went at our pace as we adapted to the movements. It's nice that you can pick your bike, so we chose to stick in the corner for this first time. Pedro was our instructor for K-Pop night and his energy definitely motivates you to try your best. If you've been curious about spin, I'd recommend trying it at Nova for the experience.

While I was a bit nervous, the instructor and staff took excellent care of her. During the final song, as we were riding up the hill, I became quite emotional. When I was pregnant and during my daughter's early years, I used spin classes as a way to push myself, always thinking of her to get through the difficult climbs. Then looking to my left and seeing her all grown up and riding alongside me was a powerful moment and a memory I will cherish. Alanna said she felt so energized and felt great after her first ride. We are so excited and look forward to making this a regular mother-daughter activity. I will certainly be recommending your studio to others. Thank you

The environment is supportive, and the programming is perfect for people of all ages and fitness levels. The workouts push you to become a better version of yourself. If you're serious about reaching your fitness goals, I highly recommend checking out FIT Brea.

I'm so thankful I found FIT Brea! Over the past several years that I've lived in the area, I've…read morebeen a part of various gyms (both chain and boutique) nearby. Having now experienced FIT Brea, I'm definitely kicking myself for not trying this gym out sooner. I've only done their group fitness classes so far, which range from 8-12ish people in size, and I'm looking forward to trying out the personal training sessions when my schedule opens up! Here are a few ways that make FIT Brea a standout: COACHING: The coaches here are the whole package! 1. They all have stellar credentials, with many of them holding advance degrees and multiple certifications. In short, they know their stuff. 2. At the risk of sounding facetious, I just want to make the point that the FIT Brea coaches actually coach. It might sound like a no-brainer, but it hasn't always been my experience that coaches do much more beyond demo-ing the moves and saying "good job" or "keep going" every few minutes, especially in a group class setting. Here, the coaches constantly move throughout the room to offer individualized pointers on form, differentiated movements depending on individual strength and mobility, alternative movements for injuries, and encouragement and motivation to keep pushing so I can get better and better. 3. They are all super patient, encouraging, and welcoming! PROGRAMMING: The programming for the group classes are thoughtfully and methodically designed. From what I can tell so far, the workouts are structured in mesocycles with a progressive overload pattern. This is important because if we do the same thing over and over, our bodies will adapt and we will not make appreciable gains over time. With progressive overload, our bodies are constantly challenged so that we can keep increasing strength and improving hypertrophy. COMMUNITY: The FIT Brea community is so nice and helpful. I felt welcomed by the coaches and the other patrons from day one. Several people who recognized that I was new introduced themselves and helped me find and set up various equipment. Others even put my plates and dumbbells back during transitions. Just last week, the whole class broke out into spontaneous applause and cheer when I pushed out that last rep of bench press, haha! The mutually encouraging environment really underpins the whole vibe and experience here. It's a special thing. MANAGEMENT: One of the things that I didn't realize would make a difference in my overall gym experience is having direct access to management/owner. In my past gym experiences, the questions/concerns I had would typically have to go up a chain of command before I got a response. Since FIT Brea is owner-operated, the patrons can directly talk to Andrew, the owner, who is so nice and provides exceptional customer service. SPACE/EQUIPMEMENT: It's spacious, well-maintained, clean, and an overall pleasant environment to train in. CLASS OFFERINGS: I'm a busy mom who works full-time hours plus daily commute. I'm thankful that classes are offered as early as 5am and as late as 6:30pm so that I can get my training time in! If you are looking for a gym where you can optimize and maximize your fitness goals (whatever they are), look no further because FIT Brea is it! I'm a serial Yelp sleuther and almost never write reviews, but my experience thus far has so far exceeded my expectations that I felt compelled to share this gem of a place with others!

I easily get bored and I got bored of Hotworx so yesterday (12/29/25), I went to the gym to cancel my membership and I was surprised that I was not allowed to cancel it without the owner's approval. It was shocking because I had never heard of such a policy. Jordan, the trainer and employee there stated that every cancellation has to go through the owner, Michael first. I asked her why. She said she didn't know why. She took down my name and phone number and said Michael will call me. So, I waited until 4:00pm on Tuesday, December 30th and I called Jordan. She apologized again and said he was busy and that she would message him again. I then told Jordan that I felt that these practices are unethical and I should be allowed to cancel my membership. She then apologizes again and says he will call me today. Previously when I cancelled my membership, I had to pay a fee to cancel. Now, they are trying to prevent you from canceling all together. I am writing this review as documentation for my credit card company too. Jordan said my credit card will not be charged but I don't believe her. Nothing is in writing. The gym is a nice concept but they make you jump through hoops to cancel your membership. Also, you can't even cancel electronically, you have to come in person.

I was 214 pounds (I'm 5'2) and got winded chasing my son around the living room. I went straight to the RED/GREEN series and am now down to 198 along with eating better. And I can keep up with my running toddler! It was quite a challenge at first and while I still modify some of the poses, I leave having done a great workout! If you're new to hot yoga, I highly recommend starting with Alex Roberts or Kya Warren so you learn the modifications. They are great at going through the levels of each pose. After every class, the instructor cleans the room floors for the next class to enjoy, which I really liked. I would recommend to try all the different instructors to find your fit. I love instructors that walk around the class, and focus on people's form to help them get better. The only thing that was off for me was, if an instructor substitutes for another instructor, I recommend to please not talk badly about the class you are currently teaching/substituting for. It may not be your level, but the students are in there for a reason. It put a sour mindset for me with that one instructor, and would probably never take that person's class ever again. The lack of professionalism deterred this review from 5 stars. Other than that one instructor, I really did enjoy this hot yoga location. Thank you Purple Yoga.

My wife who goes to the camp and reason why I'm here, use to run circles round me now it might be another type of story. Couple power!!! Super grateful for the opportunity to challenge myself and give it my all every squat every Burpee every time I skip by the candy aisle. I didn't think I'd be so drawn to such an amazing community of staff and fellow workout partners, I definitely can see myself making this still a part of my every day lifestyle, without the challenge which truly is the real challenge. The first weeks were challenging getting my body acquainted with the hustle and grind. After reaching the halfway point and having to take a week off For work on the ocean I had a lot of making up to do. I really pushed it extra hard the last two weeks and then my final week did 2 - 2aday workouts with a three-a-day workout on my final day before weigh in next morning. At some point I felt like a portal to the gym was waiting for me to fall thru as I would be jumping out of bed relaxing to the gym. No excuses. I'm confident knowing that I have reached my goal of 5% or more body fat loss and willing to weigh in two days early. I have definitely put in the time and the dedication with homemade ready-made meals which I couldn't have done without the loving support of my beautiful wife always making sure I have fuel in the tank. Ive become successful in both health, fitness and business now that Ive contributed to the media department freelancing my work as a drone pilot. Huge shout out and thanks to front desk and staff for the continued support and encouragement. The accountability was effective. So much can be done in six weeks can't wait to see what happens in six months. Stay fit don't quit!!!! Just get it done! Now off to Greece to celebrate our honeymoon on the beaches Santorini. Chow!
