Dan dropped the bikes off at the Mattatuck train station and they were waiting for us when we arrived at 11 am, then we returned the bikes to him at the Southport train station, where he was waiting for us at our scheduled time of 8:45 pm. Bikes had comfortable seats, baskets, lights, and came with a helmet. He had asked us for our heights and provided bikes that correctly fit everyone in our party of 5. As soon as we walked in, a staff member asked us how they could help and connected us with their co-worker who was "an expert in cycling shoes." She gave us two options, explained the difference between the two and detailed which shoe she thought each of us would prefer based on what we told her. She even explained the science behind what happens to our feet when we're cycling and that we would probably benefit from going a size up. We ended up walking out with shoes that 50% off and they feel FANTASTIC! We had her undivided attention for about 20 minutes.
