Dr. Jay Cohen delivered all of my children, and after delivery, Dr. Lourdes Alamo became our go-to pediatrician. From that point on, she has helped me raise and care for my children through every stage of their growth. You know the saying, "It takes a village to raise a child"? Dr. Alamo was--and still is--a part of my village. She played such a meaningful role in my children's lives, and now they're all grown. I met Dr. Alamo at the hospital shortly after giving birth; booked an appointment for my baby and the rest was history. Booking in advance was never an issue and waiting in the waiting room never took longer than 15 minutes. When seeing the doctor/nurse, the appointment took no longer than an hour. The staff were always cordial and the hours were great especially those early hours we needed (7:45 am). I've only had one appointment that they ran late with and another one with an issue with insurance on their end; overall, it's been a good experience for the last 3 years I've been going and two children later. Both my children went to this office until recently, when we moved out of state. Dr. Alamo was great! Friendly and knowledgeable; I do miss her as their doctor. The office always seemed clean, especially throughout COVID-19 lockdown. I really liked their online portal that has all the information you need about your child's visits. Only CON was when my children were sick, it was hard to get a last minute appointment; we had to either go to the urgent care or ER. We had a good experience at this office and would still be going if we still lived there. read more

This used to be a great office, albeit always overbooked, but has gone severely downhill ever since they outsourced pretty much everything. It has been nightmare after nightmare, and even made it as hard as possible to get records when we needed to transfer to a new pediatrician. Last minute cancellations, failure to manage multiple appointments when rescheduling. Phone system is a joke. Honestly, I hope it gets better, but for now, I wouldn't recommend them. read more

Probably the worst pediatrician in the south Florida area. They used to be caring and used to try to help sick children. Now they out source all calls to India or somewhere in Asia or the Middle East and they don't even try to help kids get seen. I called over 4 times to get an appointment and each time, they don't have an available appointment. The purpose of a pediatric doctor is to be able to help kids who cannot always articulate their problems. Parents please AVOID THIS OFFICE AT ALL COSTS!!! Since my daughter was born, many of her appointments have been scheduled with this Pediatric Associates location. The wait time has never been the greatest, however, today's experience for my daughter and I was absolutely unprofessional. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism by Dr. Laurel Lehman. As usual, the wait was rather long as my daughter and I are continuing to wait in room #11. I simply step into the hall and ask if we were next, the nurse kindly confirmed, however, I heard Dr. Lehman (standing in front of the nurses desk) chuckle/scoff as she listened to my inquiry as if the patient is not entitled to receive timely care per their scheduled appointment. After waiting only about five minutes more, Dr. Lehman enters the room with a very obvious, unprofessional tone and demeanor. Upon me as the parent, keeping my cool and trying to change the tone, Dr. Lehman still completely disregarded me, having no consideration or remorse for her rude unprofessionalism. As a Broward County Public Schools District employee, I believe it is my duty to ensure our children, as well as parents are thoroughly considered and genuinely cared for. Dr. Laurel Lehman did not portray such attributes of a doctor today, Saturday, November 1, 2025. I will be contacting the corporate office to report her distasteful behavior. read more

The wait is ridiculous. I'm writing this review as I'm sitting here. So my 4-month old is undressed (per their request) and freezing- 25 minutes later, still no doctor. These are babies/children we're caring for!!! But regardless of the age, you don't treat people like this. Stop overbooking or hire more doctors. I've never had this experience at the Coral Springs location, only the Sunrise location. Get your office properly managed already! I called to ask for a hib vaccine and the girl who answered asked what insurance i have and then proceeds to tell me they don't have it. So first of all it looks sketchy as heck they asked me my insurance first when i'm already an existing patient! While the doctors are great, the wait times ALWAYS suck. I've been here multiple times both before and during school and have never been in and out in under 1 hour and 30 mins. However, they are always open and you can generally get an appointment the next day or even after hours at certain locations. The rooms are clean and modern though and very kid friendly. Everything is digital so they can send in prescriptions right during the appt. The doctors and staff are all really nice and great at their jobs. The worst part is always the waiting. Even if there isn't anyone in the waiting rooms, you still wait for forever to be seen. So while i do recommend them, just make sure you bring a book! read more

First the nurse had no patience asking my son questions, very rude and then doctor comes very aggressive and examining my child huffing and puffing getting annoyed with my child, that is complying so no need for that. As he is looking at my sons record he curses and says Sh*t. I'm not sure what kind of day these people had but no need to take it out on my child. Should remain professional. The shittiest customer service ever. My daughter was in pain, crying and sobbing and they made us wait more than hour from our appointment time. Each time I asked how much longer, they never provided me with the wait time. From the front desk's attitude it does not seem like they care. They had weird attitude and lack of compassion. Being a care provider, I expect some warmth from them. The doctor came, checked and said to send the nurse right away. 10 minutes passed by, no nurse. This place is the worst when it comes to appointments! Scheduled a pre-op appt two weeks in advance. I was scheduled for 8:25am wasn't seen until almost 9:57am! The doc wasn't even aware that it was a pre op appt even though the issue at hand had been discussed for months. The medical asst. came in to take my child's vitals and never came back. Finally when the doc arrived, and even after I briefed her about the surgery she actually asked "so why are you here for pre-op?" I am actually in the medical field and its standard procedure to see your primary physician to be cleared for any surgery. This is absolutely the most horrendous medical practice I have encountered and verging on malpractice. I need my daughter's medication (which she has been on for years) renewed and the pediatrician required a well visit. The visit was scheduled for about 2 weeks ago and dropped by the pediatrician. This morning I RESCHEDULED the visit and when I arrived at 8:30 the person checking in, Jennifer, said the doctor was out for the day and all her appointments were canceled. I had no call or voicemail to advise me of such. After asking her to accommodate for us, she said to go talk to the receptionist and offered no help whatsoever. Finally I got in to speak to a manager Kasheema who seemed to see the complete failure on their part and promised to call me back with an update about having the doctor call in the refill and rescheduling , FOR THE THIRD TIME, a well visit. She never called. I called back, waiting 38 minutes to be put through and when I finally reached the office she was "in a meeting" and couldn't talk leaving me again, with no solution. My daughter is now officially out of medication. I've done EVERYTHING I was asked to do and no one will keep an appointment, offer reasonable customer service, or refill my daughter's prescription though I am showing up every time for my appointments . Pediatric Associates--all locations included--are not equipped to, nor will they squeeze in one of their established patients without an appointment. I have been with the practice for 18 years. All five of my children, and my grandson have been/are patients, but when we are in need of non-emergency care, we must seek and find medical care at a hospital. It doesn't matter that a child is a patient under the care of three (3) different specialists with the practice. We are sent to the ER because they cannot see her, not even after hours; within the entire tri-county area. Nothing is more upsetting to a parent than to have a child who needs medical care be turned away. Withal, I want to be fair in saying that the staff, both on the phone and at the Sunrise practice, was courteous in their communication with me. I can only pray that the practice's policy will be amended to match the motto: "Loving Care, 365 Days a Year." The fact is that currently, 'You Are NOT There When We Need You.' read more

We were very satisfied. We brought our 13 months old. There was no wait and Dr Alamo and her staff were amazing.

Pediatric Associates is by far the most amazing group of peditric physicians. They care about the children they see, they offer evening hours, so instead of heading to the ER to see some random Dr., you have the luxury of seeing one familiar with your child, and their offices are always clean and filled with a friendly staff.
