I was even a little nervous for him because I remember my experience when I was about my son's age, and it wasn't pleasant. However, as expected, they put my son at ease immediately. Initially he got scared when they attempted to put the gas mask over his nose, but Dr. Ben came in and calmed him down and made a mutual agreement that they would just hold it near his nose instead and my son agreed. Within 5 mins, everything was done and my son was not in discomfort for even a split second. Just an absolutely perfect experience. So glad we get to call this place our dentist.

The IV sedation and surgery was quick and professional. I don't have any past experience with surgeries, but my time spent in the waiting room was around 2 hours beyond my scheduled time of surgery. I also was left alone in the operating room for a while before being sedated and after waking up. I wish my husband had been allowed back there to help ease my nerves as a first-time sedation patient :/ Also, I feel like my husband should've been given the after-care information that I received (as I was fresh out of surgery and not fully alert).

I went in this morning with my anxiety through the roof. I was called right back. I was shaking while they took xrays. After the hygienist left the room I seriously considered bolting. Before I could this very YOUNG woman walks in and starts talking to me like weve been friends for 10 years. I even had to ask if she was the Doctor. Being in the medical field I know how confusing some physicians can be with the way they speak to their patients. Sometimes they forget the average person has no idea the verbiage they are using. Dr Drew was not this way at all. She sat down so that we could have a conversation face to face and didnt stand over me to intimidate me. She explained what was absolutely critical to address immediately and then gave me the option of a few other ''problem areas''.............SHE GAVE ME OPTIONS. By no means did she TELL me what I had to do. She respected patient rights and made me feel like a real person that didnt want to be there anyway. After all that I sat down with the financial advisor (who was just as great) and we scheduled a follow up. I will never go in search of a different dentist again. I will follow her (one step away from stalking) to any practice she decides to go. She and her entire staff were amazing and I have an all new perspective on Dentistry. I had dentures made by aspen dental in lees summit in September last year paid premium price for…read morethem with a 5 year adjustment just called and was told I would have to pay for an evaluation I don't need an evaluation just an adjustment wish I had read some of the reviews on Aspen before I went there it's not the money it's the principle I paid more so I didn't have to worry about it later will not pay them anything I will find a reputable dental office and have new dentures made first they charged me 250. after for a check up which I paid and their ad said no charge if you didn't have dental insurance so that was also a lie. So think about it before you use Aspen dental.
