I just had a very pleasant wax experience with Elysa. From the get go she was welcoming and friendly. When I walked in she offered me water and then led me to the private wax room which was warm and scented. The bed was comfortable and lined with wax paper. She provided sanitary wipes and a towel to cover up. Soothing music was playing from her iPhone. Then she left the room to let me undress privately before returning. Elysa had a gentle touch so I barely felt the pulls from the wax. It's a very odd experience to divulge your intimate body to a stranger. Elysa was professional and made easy conversation that passed the time in a delightful way. I will definitely be back and highly recommend her! read more

Michelle is absolutely amazing. She uses great products which reduce the pain, and she's such a delight to talk with that the time will fly right by! I've been to several waxing places around town, but this one gets my vote. The only downside for me is the hours because I work full time. It's worth taking a couple hours off to get things cleaned up though. There are now two people working here, so the scheduling might be a bit more flexible. Definitely give Michelle a try! read more

Erica is the best! It was my very first time getting a wax and I was really nervous. She helped calm me down through the process by talking to me and even let me use her stress peach. Since then, I have gone a second time (just scheduled for my 3rd appt.) and I was wayyy less nervous since I knew what to expect but still great experience as the first. Michelle is a master at the waxing game and uses a gentle wax that isn't irritating to my skin. I often get compliments about my eyebrows being on point! I've recently relocated to Tucson from Atlanta and need a place to get wax. After much researched, this location was the closest to me with decent reviews. I decided to book an appointment with them by calling and got to Michelle's voicemail on October 28th, a Sunday. I left a brief message regarding the type of service I want to get done and my contact number. Until this day (11/6/17), I have it heard back from her or anyone in this salon. I'm sad and disappointed to encounter such situation before having the chance to really experience them. But I'm glad, I've found a great location to go to although they are far away. I have been seeing Michelle for five years and have had just about every type of wax service available as well as facials. I could post an entire review on the facials alone. They are incredible and leave me looking and feeling refreshed even after a stressful week of travel. It feels like hitting the restart button. She makes her clients feel like family in her fun and relaxing environment. I am a stickler for cleanliness and her room is the cleanest one I've ever seen. Instruments are properly sterilized and the table is always immaculate. I never feel rushed or any stress as when she is working on me she is fully present. This may seem like common sense, but before going to Peek-a-boo, I had aestheticians that made me feel I was interrupting their day with my presence. I travel for business about 70% of the month and Michelle will do whatever it takes to fit me into her busy schedule. It is a godsend. The results are always amazing and the visits with Michelle seem more like being with a trusted friend than having a service performed. I'd never go anywhere else and I would and have recommended her to both family and friends. Whether you are a novice waxer or just someone with high standards, this is the place for you. I had tried a few times to get in at the last min around the holidays...but cut it too close and too last min..had to suffer through growing out my brows to do a reshape because I got tweezer happy on my own. I have had better waxing done. This was more painful than my my previous waxing experience. I know it's uncomfortable but this didn't feel right. You walk thru a nail salon to get to the peek a boo waxing room which smells terrible, I couldn't even breath from all the chemicals. The room itself is very nice and new but the chemically smell put me off. Michelle is really sweet but I wouldn't go back. read more

I am a man in his 60's who became tired of looking at his old man hair down there. So, I finally got the nerve to do something about it. I decided to give Michelle at Peek a Boo waxing a try and I'm so glad I did. To clarify, I had the "naughty bits" wax and Michelle made it so easy. This is a smaller shop and there is no intimidation factor. Super relaxed vibe. I can't say there wasn't some discomfort, but it was so much easier than I had anticipated and the discomfort fades in a couple seconds. I also decided to do my stomach since it had gone so well. I miss this place. I have unfortunately moved out of Tucson but as I'm trying to find a new waxing salon in Phoenix, it made me realize again how great Michelle is. She has reasonable prices, she does a great job and her hours work for most people. I have tried those European Waxing places and they are as inviting/comfortable as a sterile warehouse. I tried my luck at a smaller, more intimate salon for which I made my appt more than 2 wks in advance since their hours are limited only to have the aesthetician cancel on me at 8am for a 10am appt. Michelle never did anything like that to me. Like I said, she's great and you're lucky if you get to go to her for your waxing needs. read more

I only just tried this place and I am beyond pleased. Michelle makes you feel comfortable in a very uncomfortable situation (Brazilian Wax). She was very professional but at the same time very friendly and talkative, which really helps with taking your mind off of what is happening. I don't know where to even begin with this review. So yesterday afternoon was my first visit to Peek a Boo. I had been to a few other salons/wax places prior to this visit and I have to say, this experience at peek a boo was THEE BEST EVER in my entire life and one I will never forget. I had the pleasure of being scheduled with the beautiful ELYSA. And my did she go beyond my expectations in every way. I was about 15 mins early, she took me right away. She greeted me with such enthusiasm and warmth. Brought me inside the wax room, which really impressed me-from the atmosphere inside, the way it was decorated, it really made me feel comfortable and allowed me to relax and loosen up cause I was nervous, I was getting a Brazilian wax. Anywho, I gave Elysa a run down of things I wanted her to know esp being that I am 8 months pregnant, I had some concerns I wanted her to be aware of and she totally understood which made me feel great and so we were good to go. One thing that impressed me was Elysa's waxing technique. As weird as this may sound, I enjoyed every bit of my wax. Elysa was precise, she did section by section, it was exactly what I had hoped my wax experience to feel like. We chatted and laughed throughout the entire session, she made me feel very comfortable. My entire session probably was about 30 mins or so. Elysa was just fantastic in every way. I was beyond pleased and satisfied with the results of my wax. I was on cloud 9 when I left the salon and am still floating. THANK YOU ELYSA! This definitely won't be my last time at Peek A Boo. COME HERE FOR ALL YOUR WAXING NEEDS!
