This was my first lash lift and she made sure I was comfortable and informed on each step of the process. She also took her time and made me feel very relaxed during the whole process- I almost fell asleep! After the service was completed, she noticed that some of my outer lashes didn't get fully lifted for some reason (stubborn asian lashes). I came in for an eyebrow wax ($25) and am happy with the results. The lady at the front desk and Traci, who took care of me, were both very nice and friendly to talk to. The experience was largely welcoming especially for a newcomer like me. They take the necessary covid precautions and are appointment only right now. I made my appointment online originally at 3pm and was able to reschedule to 5:15pm with ease via phone. Definitely would recommend this local business to anyone looking for waxing services! It's clearly always busy but there are always available appointments too--I never have long to wait when I arrive (usually I don't even have time to sit). It's hard wax, not soft, so there's no pain. Such a great place to get waxing done in Tucson! The Waxing Studio offers waxing of all types from brows to brazilian/brozilians and everything in between. Traci, the owner, also offers microblading, eyebrow tinting, and lash lifts. First, making an appointment is very convenient, since Traci will arrange your appointment either by phone or text. She is very accommodating and will give you a variety of options that fit with both of your schedules. She also sends a courtesy reminder and confirmation text. She's mostly a one woman show until the weekend, where she gets a little help. She is super personable. She made me feel very comfortable from when I set-up the appointment to when I left after getting my eyebrows waxed. I hadn't gotten my eyebrows waxed in a long time, mostly using tweezers myself. She asked me what I wanted and gave me her input and insight about whether or not I really needed tinting since my hair is black. She didn't pressure me to do the tinting or try to get me to add anything extra or crazy, which I really appreciated. I was the only person in the studio with her, which made me feel really relaxed. There was music playing and she was very good at small-talk, not being too pushy or making it sound like she was just talking for the sake of talking. She really likes to get to know her clients, their interests, etc. She explained the entire process to me, giving me a mirror to go over what she was planning on doing in conjunction with what I had wanted, keeping it all very natural and a good shape for my face. The wax she uses goes on a little warm, then cools down. It is not the type of waxing where someone applies the wax, puts paper and then rips it off. The wax she uses only grabs the hairs. Afterwards, she explained areas I should try to grow out a little to keep my brows even. I felt very comfortable and in good hands at The Waxing Studio. The service is excellent and the results are amazing! You won't be disappointed if you come here! #microblademagic Want them eyebrows on fleek? Make an appointment with Traci. She's the best in the west. My whole eyebrow life was a lie until I met her. Filling my brows in with pencil makeups and such. It was time consuming & never symmetrical. I researched options & micro blading was my best bet. I was recommended by a friend to call Traci at The Waxing Studio. I called to make a consultation apt. & she is as lovely & energetic over the phone as she is in person. The studio is small, cute, & clean and Traci makes you feel very comfortable. My microblading process took about 4 hours to complete so make sure you have time! Because Traci takes hers, she's very patient, considerate, & seriously cares about what YOU want because it's your precious face! Microblading can be expensive but she charges for way less & gave me a great experience. She numbs you with a cream/lotion which helps but the first cuts do hurt. The noise will freak you out because you hear the cutting but stay strong! You get breaks. Drink water. Then it's easier. When it's over you won't believe that model in the mirror is you. Microblading is semi permanent & depending on your skin and how well you take care of them (no water or heat) they could last for months, a year, or longer, but they will fade! Which is kinda cool cuz no big commitment. I just got tired of applying my brows every morning. I had my appointment 3 days ago. The first day they looked immaculate. Currently, they're itching, small scabs (which is normal, minor, don't pick them!) , and it feels like a small sun burn. It's basically a temporary tattoo. I'm really in love with the fill in, how natural she made them look, and the symmetry! I hope they last forever. Overall, Traci is awesome. She truly cares about her work and you. Currently, she's a one woman waxing band. She may be limited with apts but her customer care is sincere....I've never got a wax before, I'm considering setting an apt & luckily, I know just who to call. read more

So, as guy in Tucson trying to get waxed let me tell you about The Waxing Studio - the only place I found that will wax men below the belt. Truth be told, I was pretty nervous. Not for the waxing itself but because it is a pretty personal type of service and not something MOST guys do. I was relieved when I walked in, to find that the place wasn't "girly" at all but rather modern and very clean looking. I didn't feel awkward at all. As soon as I opened the door I was greeted warmly and asked to fill out a short form. As I did, the staff offered me water and asked if there was anything I needed. Just a minute later, I was walked back. My wax person was extremely pleasant and went over the services I booked to make sure we were on the same page. She then gave me the room to undress and a towel to cover up with. The service itself was WAY easier and faster than I thought it would be. Everything was super sanitary and I felt like I was just having a normal conversation over coffee. Once I was waxed, she went over some instructions for cleansing, exfoliating and moisturizing the area for the following days. The instructions were quite specific but luckily, they had every product I needed at the front desk, to include a set of gloves with after care instructions for waxing, RIGHT IN THE PACKAGE! They also gave me a coupon for my next visit. All in all, I was very impressed with the professionalism of the entire staff and the experience was flawless. I booked my next appointment before leaving and even got a text confirmation which I added right in my calendar. I went in initially for an eyebrow wax and tint service. That didn't come out right at all, barely visible. I made a complaint and was told to come in to get them redone free of charge. I came, only to be even more mortified. I was told that they would be very natural looking, instead I got overdrawn, blocky eyebrows. I am soooo embarrassed. I called the studio, and was told that the owner was on vacation and to expect to hear from her on Tuesday for my refund. Here we are Wednesday and not a word. I loved the Waxing Studio! I was in Tucson for my wedding (my husband is from there, but we don't live there). I needed to get a great many things waxed before the big day and had no idea where to go. I searched yelp, called the Waxing Studio up and, even though they were busy, they were cool about getting me in pretty quickly. I really liked the boutique atmosphere. The rooms are very comfortable. And, while it's weird to say, I actually enjoyed my wax! Traci used an australian wax that was made of magic or something because it didn't hurt at all. The only uncomfortable part was my thigh cramping from being in one position for a while but that's my own fault for not doing enough yoga and not getting waxed more often. Traci was great to chat with while we made me presentable. And afterwards she ran me through post-wax maintenance, which I appreciated because it had been a while. Overall, I'm so happy I found them. So, I come to Tucson a few times a year to see family and friends and on this fateful trip, one of my close friends made a comment about "getting waxed". As a guy, my initial reaction was one of shock and mild terror. I couldn't imagine undergoing anything like that for a purely aesthetic reason. The pain. The embarrassment. No way! He had an appointment that day and told me I should just come along. Out of pure intrigue, and the chance to make fun of him while he suffered, I agreed. When we got into The Waxing Studio, I was actually impressed that it was a pretty "guy-friendly" environment. The front desk staff were very welcoming and friendly. When my friend went back for his service, they asked if I wanted anything done. After a couple nudges from my friend, I agreed to get my nose and ears waxed. After all, I really hate the feeling of a nose trimmer. I went back and my wax artist was very calming and reassuring. She told me how the service would go and that it would be over before I knew it. I laid on the table and braced myself. I must say, the room was very well appointed and smelled like something I wish my house smelled like year round. They started my service and probably within 3 minutes, we were done. The only thing I can compare the sensation to is sneezing hard. It didn't hurt at all and when she waxed my ears, it actually felt good. I left feeling surprising clean and I was pretty happy with the result. Especially for the price! It's been a few weeks now and I swear, I'm never going back to trimming. I am a waxing believer! And when I'm back in Tucson, I will definitely be visiting The Waxing Studio!
