They have tons on tap and there are many that were new to me with the standards as well. The bartenders are so nice and helpful. They know the taps like no one's business and willingly share their knowledge. Their hours are stunted due to the ferry to get there but it is so worth it. I could take my kid and he loved it too! Totally worth the drive and the gorgeous walk from the ferry or rent a golf cart. The outdoor patio is chill and comfortable with plenty of seating as is the inside with the dining area and the massive bar.

We had some participants not attend, so we wanted to cancel the 4 person. The "owner" pretended to look at the computer and stated he had no 6 person carts available and he stated we ordered 2 - 4 person carts. (not true) Because we didn't cancel 24 hours in advance he would not let drop the 4 person. We didn't even reserve the carts 24 hours in advance. Truth is he did not have any 6 person carts available, so he made it like we ordered the wrong carts. Then he walked away and let a young kid deal with us. We took the two 4 person carts and made sure to let them know an appropriate review would be administered. We will not use his company again.

We came for Friday night sunset dinner. The West Bay Inn is hopping, pretty much all the time. We…read morewere able to snag a patio seat pretty close to the edge for a good view, and quickly got drinks. I had a margarita and the others ordered canned seltzer. The margarita was $5, the seltzers closer to $7. The marg was just OK, not a bad size, chunky salt rim, not exactly cold. For dinner, I had the walleye basket. It was also OK - 2 large pieces of fish, and some obviously frozen fries. The first piece of fish was good, crunchy breading, flakey fish. The second piece had multiple bones and it still had the skin on, which isn't my favorite in breaded fish, so got messy picking it apart. My friend ordered the chicken bacon ranch flatbread and that was surprisingly good, with garlicky sauce and plenty of chicken chunks. We did catch the sunset cannon fire, and in spite of knowing about it, were still all caught off guard! The vibe is great, there were a lot of people having a fun, and both live and recorded music going on. More for the vibes than the food, but it was fun.

Odd--for reasons I'm still trying to wrap my head around. Kelley's Island doesn't offer endless options, so I guess "beggars can't be choosers" applies here. Bottom line: come with your expectations firmly tapered. You might stay because it's there, but I wouldn't go for the food.
