Food so-so. Service basic. Location good especially for a sunset. Live music was a plus. Big grass area for kids to play.

This is our first trip to Kelly's Island. We stopped by some of "downtown" which was already crowded before stuff even opened. We came up today at 11am, they were "open-ish" due to staffing struggles. Anna was very welcoming and friendly! Got a couple drinks to celebrate our 25th anniversary and some food. The burger was tasty and juicy, the tender platter was as well. Beautiful view and awesome convo with Anna while it was quiet. Bathrooms are super clean and plenty of seating with awesome views! Don't let the Covid reviews scare you off, def a place to hang out!

Fun outside setting on a beautiful summer island day at West Bay.

Beautiful outside setting right on the lake with great views of put in bay and the monument across the water. Nice big outside pavilion bar with good service. Fun canon shot at sunset every evening. Great place to spend some time on a summer day tour of Kelley's Island.

Best sunset views on the island, gorgeous waterfront location - and they fire a literal, loud cannon nightly at sunset! Such a fun island tradition. We loved the spacious patio, friendly fast service and generous portions. I had the Hawaiian bbq pork flatbread, kiddo had chicken tenders and others had nachos and taco salad. Can't beat the live music, island vibe and incredible setting. Love West Bay!

On a short vacation day right around Kelly's island we came across the West Bay Inn and restaurant here and Jerrad, our server, was fantastic. The food ...the pulled pork with the tater tot's and the the walleye basket were absolutely top-notch.. excellent! Great service, excellent food, excellent all the way around! The view of the the lake is great! We highly recommend it!

This is the place to go for an island breeze on a hot day! We enjoyed the outdoor bar with friends. We had some buckets and tried two appetizers, the tater tots with bbq sauce and pulled pork and the fish bites. The food was good, nothing special...we just needed food in our belly before drinking. It was solid, no complaints. The bar was extremely busy but we had good service. It was a nice afternoon on the patio.

Fantastic new outside bar! So many updates! It's a must see stop on your island tour,or boating adventure!

The food was horrible. Worst walleye I have ate. They leave the skin on so it's fish tasting. Burger had zero flavor.

We had the walleye basket which was a delicious, perfect light corn meal breading and lightly fried.

Put-In-Bay is a pretty quiet place after the season ends, and most restaurants are not open during the week if they are even open at all. Topsy Turvey is one of the exceptions -- it is usually open for lunch and dinner most days, and it is a local hangout of sorts. We took seats at the bar, and it was obvious that many of the people there were locals who knew one another. A couple of people obviously were not from there but had come from the mainland for the day to work on construction projects. Everyone was friendly and happy, and it was a nice environment to be part of. The bartender was busy serving food, pouring drinks, and talking people up, as a good bartender does, and he seemed to enjoy being there. He also seemed to know most of the people there. I ordered the perch platter, which came with fries and slaw, and my wife ordered a burger and onion rings. The food was great! My wife enjoyed her burger very much, and the onion rings were standard battered rings of deliciousness. The perch was delicious -- I could have that at least once a week and not get tired of it. The fries were fine -- nothing special, just normal fries. The slaw was very tasty, though slightly liquidy. Would I go back? I don't live in the area, so I doubt I will be back there any time soon. But if I am back on the island, I will definitely be back again. It was warm and inviting, and the food was great. What more do I need?

Jocelyn the hostess was very friendly and helpful! She got us as soon as a table was ready. (They don't have many by the water). We had our dog and they quickly offered her water. The bar is fun! Dollar bills stapled to the wall. Patrons who wrote on them! We did too of course ;) Our server Lily was great. My husband and I each ordered a Brandy Alexander and we split the red pepper popper. The ranch dressing was yum as,a,dipping sauce. The poppers were a very good spicy. The Brandy Alexander was so delicious, we ordered another! Great afternoon to sit by the water, watch boats and people! Definitely recommend. Service was great on this Friday afternoon.

Saturday night was pretty popular and the patio was full, so we sat inside, which is why our photos were rather dark. We started with a round of drinks. I had a glass of rose. Note that the drinks menu is several pages longer than the food menu, with beer, wine, and a variety of specialty and standard cocktails. They also have an espresso bar. It wasn't on the menu, but we ordered the Street Corn dip from the specials board on the sidewalk. We got a nice sized serving, and it was very good. I had the za'atar roast chicken for my entree, and it was delicious! The chicken comes with a lemon yogurt sauce, and Fattoush salad, but the salad was kind of a cross between Fattoush and tabbouleh, with pita chips and a grain base. It was a great combo, and the chicken was very juicy and seasoned nicely. I ended up with a slice of the almond cake, which was moist and had sliced almonds on top. Very much needed after missing out in the ice cream stop this afternoon! One of my friends had a bowl of gumbo and the other one had the taco pie. Since everyone enjoyed their dinner, and we confirmed that the patio was dog friendly, we returned with Miss Pup for brunch. We were able to snag a patio seat with a super friendly server. Miss Pup mostly hung out under the table, but managed to convince some other diners to pet her. We went with some plates for the table - Chicken and Waffle, Chilaquiles, and the special Quiche, which had sundried tomatoes, bacon and feta. All 3 portions were just right for us. The chicken was really moist and the waffle had slightly crispy edges. It came with some fruit and syrup. The quiche slice was generous and it came with a large portion of salad with a fruity vinaigrette. The sundried tomatoes were a really fun addition! I chose the chilaquiles. I'm pretty sure the chips were fried fresh (the ones last night were not), and I liked that it had beans and pico on top! This dish did not contain enchilada sauce, it was more like breakfast nachos, but I really enjoyed it. This place is definitely worth a stop, and the menu stands out from the standard island fish and chips and burgers fare (not that I dislike those things, just something different)!
