Pretty busy and moderately noisy location in the midst of Todos Santos Plaza. Street parking can be a challenge if you come here during the day, but there are 2 parking structures nearby if you can't find street parking in front. The woman taking orders seemed friendly and we easily found a seat. I know there was a review that mentioned that finding a seat was difficult, but maybe it was the time we arrived or we simply got lucky. I ordered a hot matcha latte, sugar free and a frittata. I didnt wait too long for my drink at all. As a matter of fact, the barista was super fast! FYI: The restrooms are for customers only and it's All Gender Restrooms. This Peets is always well stocked and has enough employees that things seem to flow very smoothly. Both yesterday and today, I was able to get the sugar cookie that I love so much and the hot water for my tea at this location. I told them some jokes to make them smile or laugh while at work. Nice amount of space and it never seems overly crowded, especially when I go in there. A little bit further and in a different direction than I usually go, but nothing big or serious, so I will definitely return again. read more

My wife and I were at this Peet's location yesterday. Courtney was the rudest and most incompetent person we have ever encountered at a Peet's coffee shop. First of all she made are drinks wrong three times. I suppose a hot medium mocha and a medium iced matcha was too much for her to comprehend. When we used the customers restroom, we were shocked by the filth and smell of urine. When we told Courtney that it was disgusting and needed to be cleaned, she got quite an attitude. Then the store manager refused to give me water his name was Elijah El Hayek saying that it was not california State law, refused to give me the names of the employees and asked me to leave for asking for water. Horribly rude barista. This used to be my favorite coffee shop, I've spent hundreds of dollars on Gaia organic at this location. But Isabella wanted to charge me for water when I have my own cup. I've caught and stopped shoplifters at this location. But because of the snarky and rude barista this morning I will never purchase another drink at this location. I stopped by today to try out the latest plant-based breakfast sandwich. Overall, the sandwich was really good. I was also happy to know both the cheese and egg were also plant-based friendly unlike Starbucks' option. The macros were a bit surprising, mostly the 21g of Fat. It is likely from the patty and egg substitute so hopefully in the future they can refine that. 21g is about one-third of my daily fat intake. The location was clean and lightly busy. There was an Anniversary blend being advertised and when I inquired if it was available in their already brewed coffees for the morning, the cashier responded no. Perhaps it was too early in the morning but I thought it was weird to not have your promotional coffee available. The barista/cashier could benefit from some soft skills training as she seemed un-engaged. Working service is a tough gig (I know from experience) but we do the best to maximize the customer experience. read more

I visited this location twice since I stopped giving my business to Starbucks due to their new policy of DEI, It does affect me at a personal level for being Mexican and Gay, however on that same note as i mentioned I've visited this particular location in two different times, in which I have not felt at all welcome, I had to greet the person behind the counter to get to her to even start my order, during the extremely awkward interaction or lack of with the barista I proceeded to ask how her day was going as clearly she seemed un engaged, yet I got a very dry "good" from the person at the counter, not even a fake attempt to engage in conversation, which believe it or not I do appreciate however I want to be blunt and ask. Are Latino s or Mexican's NOT welcome at your stores so I can again bring my business somewhere else where I don't have to pay to be racially profiled yet pay for it, where I can get that for free anywhere. If so just say it so we don't have to endure this type of experiences. And again this happened twice where this treatment was perceived upon approaching the counter. read more

Crikey...why does it take 20-30 minutes to get a single coffee from here? I've noticed this is a trending comment in recent reviews and can confirm I'm now standing here waiting for a mobile order that was placed over 25 minutes ago and said it would be ready in 5 minutes. Another time I was 15 minutes early for work so stopped in here for a quick coffee. Went to the counter that time since the app wasn't working - there was only one person in line so should've been quick. Nope. Ended up taking 30+ minutes for a mocha. The coffee here is slightly better than the Starbucks around the corner - I'm not sure if the wait is worth the marginally better product. Note to management: train more people on barista duties. Having two people hover over an empty register is not helping the user experience. read more

Gerenally had fine experiences here except for maybe a lack of friendliness from the baristas but over the last few months every time I go in it smells like an old wet rag inside. They need to do something about their ventilation. I usually order on the app so I don't have to linger with that smell. This one's tucked into the corner of the Veranda shopping center, with some tables facing the street with some cover from the sun. On Father's Day, I went in to get a coffee, and an entire family came in to celebrate, and they really lit up the place! I always mobile order here and usually it's never ready on time and I mobile order 15-20 min ahead. The employees have no sense of urgency and move very slow. I mobile order for a reason because I'm headed to work right after picking up my coffee usually I have to give them my coffee back and they have to remake it because it taste like there is no syrup. This is a great location, but poorly run. Expect to wait a long time for a drink, whether you order ahead on the app or at the register. I have had to wait over 15 mins for a drink several times. I have also had to wait on several occasions for a simple black coffee as they had run out of both the medium and dark roast. The staff are fine, but this store truly needs better management. This is a great Peet's location in the morning time! I came in around 10am and the place was buzzing with business. There was a line, but it went by pretty quickly thanks to the awesome and friendly staff they have at this location. I ordered my vanilla latte with almond milk and a kouign amann pastry (I think it's pronounced queen a-mawn... that's what I've been told at least lol). It's my favorite. I waited for just a few minutes in a seat I was able to find when the barista called out my drink and told my my pastry was coming up. The barista was super friendly and smiley, which was a surprise to me, but totally a pleasant surprise. I appreciated how welcome I felt! I always try to be extra nice to workers at coffee shops because I know it can be stressful, but I hate when I'm extra nice to them just for them to be short and emotionless toward me because they're stressed out about how busy they are. I went here yesterday and ordered a large black tie. It was good. It was what I expected. The customer service was good too. I did not leave disappointed. The area with the sugar, creamer, etc. wasn't the cleanest. I was also shocked that they didn't have the plastic lids with the hole so that I could drink by drink without a straw. According to the app and the sign on the door, hours on Saturday are supposed to be from 6am to 5:45pm but when I showed up at 6:30 they weren't open and the person at the counter just shook her head. The staff here consistently have the worst attitudes. If you have a mobile order they roll their eyes an: act like you've burdened them by asking for the things you purchased. Seriously, if you hate customers shouldn't you like mobile orders? You don't even have to talk to me you just set my stuff on the counter and we're good to go. The four of us dropped by this Peet's after dinner for a cup and some conversation. There were no four-tops available when we walked in so we put two two-tops together and gathered enough chairs to accommodate us. We had place our order through the Phone App and kept an eye on the pick-up station while chatting. The dining room was fairly full and customers trickled in and out while we were there. Because it was close to closing time, the staff kept busy with their closing activities (wiping things down and filling syrup and whipped cream dispensers). Unfortunately, this seemed to be a larger priority than filling orders. I didn't keep track of the time on my phone for pick-up but I know it was at least ten minutes between order time and pick-up time for 1 large mocha, 1 medium latte and 2 medium cocoas. The drinks were terrific as always, but the service time was longer than necessary. Additionally, I found the frequent announcements of how much time remained before closing to be somewhat annoying because it interrupted our conversations. read more

Over the past year this location has become one of my least favorite! Extremely long wait times, even when ordered 6 minutes ahead I will still get there and wait 5-10+ minutes. Beverages are a huge hit or miss! Today my Iced Vanilla Latte was extremely overly sweet and very light on color compared to my usual. I ordered a caramel macchiato and a hazelnut latte today and when the girl handed them to me, and walked away as I asked which was which. She came back and didn't know which was which and just stared at me like it was my problem. I was frustrated and didn't have time so I left. To be honest, I love Pete's coffee. It's one of my favorite places to get coffee but today after I stopped by, I left feeling sad, disheartened and disgusted. At about 12:45 I stopped by this Pete's coffee location to grab a quick drink. As I was waiting at the register, I observed the shift lead giving the cashier feedback about his job duties in an extremely hostile and demeaning manner. At first, I saw him speaking to the cashier before I even approached the counter. When it looked like he was done verbally abusing his fellow employee, the cashier called me over to order, and the shift lead approached him again, this time in an even more hostile tone of voice. As someone who's worked in retail and the food industry for 7+ years in the past, I know what it's like to be on the receiving end of overly aggressive feedback in front of patrons. It's completely inappropriate and counterintuitive to supporting people and business. So even if management doesn't care, they should. Please teach your leaders that there's a time, a place, and a manner in which feedback should be communicated, and if it's negative, it should be in private, not in front of customers or fellow employees. I witnessed a perfectly capable, kind human being get put down in front of their coworkers and customers today. I hope the shift lead gets the help and training that he needs and the cashier is treated better in the future. I would hate to assume employees there get treated like that every day. read more

Didn't have a great experience here. I was trying to order an iced coffee sweetened with cream, something very basic. I'm not much of a coffee person and was ordering it for someone else. The guy at the register said I had to add the cream and sugar myself. I told him I'm not much of a coffee person and didn't want to mess it up. He said there's nothing he could make for me. I'm confused as to why I can't just get an iced coffee. I then asked for a recommendation of something and said I just don't want it to be black coffee, something with a little milk and sweetener. Horrible customer service, answered the phone with so much attitude, kept on rambling on without listening to my question about their delivery service, and then gave me incorrect information to just get me to go away.
