Idk what it is about this place but the drinks don't taste like peets. It taste like a at home made latte. I get a chemical aftertaste. I don't believe they are using the same syrup as the other locations are. Something taste off also my iced coffee was very foamy. At other locations I never have this issue. Came here on a Thursday to do work. Outlets are only located on two walls, so if others are working too, you're gonna have a tough time. Service is nice, and drinks come out fairly quickly. There's not a whole lot of seating. Also this place is hidden from the parking lot by large awnings. Ended up circling the lot twice before realizing where the entrance was! read more

I like this location when I just want to do a run for good coffee. Not much of a scene and not a very intriguing place to just chill, but that's fine. This location shares the lot with a Trader Joes (among other stores). This works out well for me because the gf loves Trader Joes and I love a good cup of Peet's coffee. Across from the corner of the Big 5 Sporting Goods store is the somewhat hidden Peet's. I paid for my Caramel Javiva with Soy Milk--an extra $0.60 for the soy milk. I went to the restroom while it was being made, or so I thought. I returned and the person wearing the funky (sherpa?) hat was not making my drink. In fact, he didn't seem to be doing anything but gawking at the training session for six or so employees. He started working on my drink not too long afterward, apparently when he was bored of doing nothing. When he finished, he handed it to me and explained that it was a little low because of the soy milk. I've never had this happen in the past, and he apologized, but I'd think that he just wasn't paying attention to his work. I was already working on a migraine headache, so I didn't say anything really. Making a scene wouldn't have worked anyway. He'd probably just blow it off and tell stories about how rude I was. read more

This place makes THE WORST Freddos ever! I've been here twice already and each time it gets worse! The first time I came here, I got a mocha freddo with raspberry syrup and whipped cream. My drink was blended but it was a bit on the runny side. The whipped cream she put on it must of been old and warm because it looked like it came out of a slurpee machine (had no star edge form to it). Taste wise? it was okay. It could of been made better though. The second time I came here was today in the morning before work. I hoped that the previous visit was just a one time thing. Boy was I wrong! The drink this time was even worse! The consistency of my drink was now just plain watery! I shook the cup and it started sloshing around! I didn't even get whipped cream too even though I specifically asked "with whipped cream". The taste of the drink this time was just plain booty. I took 2 sips and then I was literally done. I didn't even bother asking to get whipped cream or to get my drink redone again because I was in a rush to work. If the baristas that made my drinks were new, I really think they should tested on how to make drinks! Or at least have a manager on the floor checking things. You can't hand out bad drinks to customers and expect them to be happy. I was a barista for a year and half and got trained several times till I perfected my drinks. 2 stars for friendly service though. read more

The service here is a hit or miss. I ordered an iced coffee for the first time and the girl helping me out was super friendly and sweet. The next day, I came in while a group of 3-4 employees were working; one being the manager? (his name tag matched the manager's name). There were several people in line to order but only the manager seemed to be making drinks while the other employee took orders. The other two were chatting with the manager and didn't seem to have a sense of urgency to help out with making drinks. I give this coffee shop 3 stars because the cold brew is amazing. Order: Ice white chocolate mocha with soy milk and added shot. I love that they don't charge for using soy milk instead of regular milk. The oatmeal taste delicious! However, I went in yesterday and to my surprise, it was closed at 2:55, even though it states on Yelp and Google that it was indeed open until 5 pm. I mobile ordered and there was nothing on the app about the location being closed so I used a reward, however, when I got there it was closed. Ive been coming here for a while now on and off. I never had the chance to yelp this place out until right now because I am sipping some green tea as we speak! This coffee house is comfy and can get pretty busy. Its located and placed inside a nice plaza as well which is convenient afterwards. The service is chill! Mostly ladies working here and they always have a smile on. The aroma of different coffees are delish and makes you want to purchase a coffee. Peet's coffee is arguably the best when it comes down to competing with starbucks. I love coffee and throughout the years Ive developed a certain taste for coffee and know what is strong and what isnt. To me, Peet's has more variety and more rich flavor coffee than your typical starbucks. I love starbucks but only for their mixed drinks. I love Peet's, I come to this coffee shop weekly. And I'm usually never disappointed. However some of their staff like to take the easy way out in terms of making my drink. I have ordered the oatmilk horchata latte since it came out, now they have a cold brew. So I always ask for an add shot because I don't like how weak the cold brew is. Some staff will make the latte the way I like and some JUST give me the cold brew, even when I order an add shot. I can taste the difference, most coffee drinkers can. Peet's is running a $2 Freddos All Day Friday in July, so naturally I tried their new Godiva Dark Chocolate Raspberry Freddo. Wow, I don't think chocolate and coffee gets better than that. Sophisticated, creamy and smooth with just the right amount of sweetness. Complimented with the nice texture of occasional ground coffee beans. Holy yumminess!!!! Matcha Freddo is decent, but I wish it has a richer matcha flavor attune to Maeda-en ice cream. Blackberry-Pomegranate Freddo is decent if you want a very light frozen drink. Mango Freddo - feels wrong to have a watered-down mango drink. Guess I got used to Mango Madness from Jamba Juice. Marsala Chai Freddo is very bad if my memory serves me well. The Cupertino location is more upscale, but they seems to make better drinks in this location. read more

Pretty rude. I called to ask if there was something wrong with my doordash order, as it showed someone picked it up then cancelled it and then another dasher was waiting for it.. It had been 40 minutes since I placed the order. I asked the guy on the phone if he knew the name of whoever maybe picked it up and the guy hung up on me. I just had a very bad experience at this Peet's here on the El Camino and Sunnyvale it was 801 door still unlocked I walked in a work closed well I had to find a parking spot with Jeff the parkway out in the parking lot this not even close to the store and there was still one person in there but they couldn't serve me very poor customer service shame on you Peet's read more

Personally, I find the Peet's coffee menu to be more intimidating than the Starbucks menu because I can never choose what to order. Luckily, all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful by offering plenty of suggestions. I ordered the "black tie" iced coffee which contained a blend of coffee, coconut milk, expresso, condensed coconut milk, and some whip cream. Overall it was strong, but delicious! This drink kept me energized all day! Highly recommend Peet's if you're looking for good, strong coffee and chill ambiance. read more

Coffee is as good as any other Pete's. I am talking 1-2 stars... for the dirty bathroom. I hope some acknowledge this so I can increase the rating or remove my review. The bathroom at this location hasn't been cleaned properly in a long time. I know because I worked in the industry. There are different layers of soap dripping on the walls. Each layer is from different days/weeks. There is dust/dirt on the walls, on all corners on the floor, on the edges of the tiles, the door. Please clean this bathroom better and more often. read more

I will never come here again! Poor Customer Service! Not Pet Friendly!!! I came here on a hot summer day. I didn't want to leave my dog in the car due to the excessive heat. I put my dog in her carrying case and left her right next to the door, away from any food products. Once I got to the register, a blond hair manager yelled we can't serve you and get out of here! I was like WTF! My dog is no where near your food. I would understand if it was sniffing around, but to make a scene when my dog was inside her carrying case. I asked, what if I go outside can you let me know when my drink is ready? She relented, but never came out to let me know that my drink was ready. This was the worst experience I ever had, and I do not recommend anyone coming back to this Pete's. I've never had a problem with my dog at any other Pete's. She went off on a 10 lb pug. Who yells at their customers in front of other customers? A few other customers said that they couldn't believe what they saw. Visit Starbucks or Philz, not here. read more

I came in said hello/how're you with no response and proceeded to ask for an ice tea, the girl behind the counter gave me the dirtiest look and told me they didn't have any. And she looked at me blankly, then I asked if they had their other coolers. She took a second to look over somewhere and was like yeah (not specifying which one... or anything). I was like okay may i have the pomegranate tea cooler, without saying anything she brought it over. I payed and then she said with the fakest smile have a nice day. I don't understand why even bother pretending to be nice? I would rather you say nothing than pretend to be nice to me... I worked at Starbucks in high school, I completely understand how crappy it is to work for a chain getting paid minimum wage. You're constantly being forced to provide "customer service." I'm against forcing people to be polite, it always ends up being fake, but at the very least have the courtesy not to be rude to me. read more

Sorry, I have to downgrade this location. In my first review, it was a customer service issue. But, now that I've been here a few times, not only is the customer service lacking, again, probably due to morning rush, but now, the drinks have been inconsistent and flavorless. If you're getting a drip...you're fine. No customizations there. But, if you're ordering a latte, freddo, etc...the baristas need help. I actually prefer making the trek to Peet's in and around Saratoga because both the customer service and custom drinks are perfect. The employees of this location should visit other Peet's and find out what other locations are doing right. read more

So I have loved going to this location numerous times for great coffee. But the new management seems to have no respect for its customers and are allowed to treat customers as they wish. After having enough trouble from this lady I contact the district manager who seemed not to care as the manager had already filled her in on the situation from her point of view. So with no help I try contacting corporate. I tell them what happened and by the end of the day I get a call saying my business is no longer needed from Peet's. WOW I just got booted from my favorite coffee shop after being treated like crap. Moral of the story its 2015 and transgender customers are being turned away because of voicing my concerns after being a loyal customer over 2 years. I'm sad hurt and disappointed that Peet's coffee feels this way. But just know discrimination gets you no where!!!!!!!!!!!!! To all customers who want to be treated with respect make folgers at home. So, the persons who decided this would make a great space for a Peets could not have been people who planned on ever being regular sit-down customers. Why? Well, aside from the outdoor seating (which is plentiful) well over half of the indoor seating is right next to or within earshot of the one Male/Female restroom. So, you know the obese late middle-aged woman who sits at the corner table with all her numerous plastic bags and what nots? Well, you get to hear her do her business--going #2, going #1, wiping, washing up (we can only hope). It's an auditory experience alright--enjoy an earful along with your over-priced, non-fair-trade beverages. "But wait," you say to yourself, "there can't be that many people using the bathroom, nor that many who are that gross and loud; besides, I'll sit far away from the bathroom." WRONG! The best seats, the ones farthest from the crapper, are already filled with people smart enough not to settle for front row John seats. WRONG! When I was there for about an hour, there was a continuous fluid line of patrons opening up the door to that stinkhole (which, as I said, is near over half of the seating) while we tried to read and drink tea and coffee--gross! WRONG! There ARE that many gross people using public bathrooms--you are probably one of them! read more

Came here for the first time today. I came in the main entrance and went up to the sign that said "order." As soon as I did, a line started forming on the other end of the place. I asked where the line starts and apparently the line is not where the "order." sign is, it's away from the entrance, which makes no sense. Anyway I ordered a Mocha and it wasn't that good. It tasted nothing like a mocha. The espresso did have good flavor. ** Update * Ok I've come here a few times and here's the deal. They put like an inch of foam in the mocha, which doesn't make sense. So first step, tell them no foam in the mocha. Second problem, they don't put anywhere near enough chocolate. They put 1 pump of chocolate. To get it to taste right, ask for three or even four pumps of chocolate. Then you have a might fine mocha. read more

I love Peet's! Compared to Starbucks, their coffee seems much stronger. My previous review is outdated.Haven't had any issues at this location in the last year or so. I've probably been visiting this location a minimum of twice a month (to get coffee beans for home). Service has been friendly, helpful and quick. I miss this place now that the closest coffee place to new workplace is a Starbucks :( Location has limited seating outside and the seating seems to be shared between this place and the Greek fast food place next door. It's never that difficult to get a table here though. Location also has a good selection of loose teas. I love their Major Dickason's Blend coffee.. For the espresso machine at home, I've gotten the Espresso Forte and Garuda Blends. Enjoyed em both. If you purchase coffee beans, you get a complimentary small coffee that you can enjoy on that visit, or choose to redeem at a future visit. I don't think Starbucks offers anything like that unless you're a member of their loyalty program (who wants to be loyal to crap coffee?). This is an update from my review from nearly two years ago. I've found Peet's to be getting a bit more and more mediocre as time goes on. Their pastry quality has gone a bit downhill and the coffee is more or less the same as Star Bucks. I prefer other mom and pop coffee shops nowadays. Also, their free wifi is no longer really "free". You have to buy something and then they will give you a wifi key that is good for one hour. Not a very good place to hangout if you need to do some work or study. read more
