However, there are a few points of improvement I would recommend. The store can be rather dirty, with trash on the ground and their front of house in need of a deep clean. The taro milk tea I got was a little on the grainy side and prices are high compared to quality of competition that Bambu faces. I'm so glad Bambu is in the area for my Vietnamese dessert cravings. Their che is always fresh. I ordered #2 without boba, with shaved ice on the side, as well as #4 for my husband. #2 comes with red beans and white beans that are cooked until they are soft, a large scoop of tảo paste, rainbow jelly, and mung bean. It tastes best with lots of ice! I had a couple of bites of the #4, which comes with grass jelly, pandan jelly, the red jelly/seeds, and mung bean. The egg coffee has an egg foam layer that is quite thick and doesn't have a fake egg taste unlike some other places. The coffee is also really strong. Despite all the ice melting, it was still strong the next day, such that I will have this for at least a second day! There are so many dessert options, and I remember the pandan waffle being pretty good. Service was very friendly. Came here as the Bambu on Stockton blvd was already closed. Saw that they have a special that the other place didn't have: mango halo halo. I decided to get their mango halo halo for $10 and their pandan waffle. I wouldn't really call this halo halo, it's just Vietnamese chè with mango ice cream. The waffle was just okay. I stopped in around 3ish on a Saturday. They now want you to pay at the kiosk if you're paying via credit card & there is a service charge. You can pay cash at the register but I didn't have any cash on me. I placed my order and watched 3 customers that placed their order well after me quickly receive their orders while I continued to wait for my 2 drinks. Finally, after the 3rd customer who ordered after I did, i finally asked about my order. They were still working on it. I don't believe my order was any harder to make than the blended strawberry smoothie with boba that was ordered well after me. I must've waited almost 20mins for my order and it wasn't even busy. It was back in 2023 when I last visited. Its time for a new visit. Ive ordered a Magonada Drink for my boyfriend and I had a strawberry smoothie with Boba. I know Ive enjoyed my drink and my boyfriend loved his. We even brought our banh mi's from Paris Baguette and the working didnt mind we ate it to pair it with our drinks. We were on our way to the airport and this was our last bite before heading out to the airport. It's a comfortable cafe. The place is clean and well maintained. I asked to substitute the coconut milk with coconut water because the coconut milk is too sweet for me. They wanted $1.00 extra for that! They have special drinks and also boba, smoothies and other stuff too, but i usually get one of their special drinks. I always get #10 which has red tapioca, pandan jelly, and grass jelly, and coconut milk. But sometimes i sub boba for the red tapioca because im not a huge fan of the crunch it has. Its 6.50 + tax which is pretty good because it has alot of toppings. The service here isnt the best lol, few times when i went i think they were training their new workers and like they were yelling and lecturing them non stop rip. Service here needs a lot of work. The worker finished taking the person ahead of me order and disappeared. Then she came back after a few minutes and just stared at us and didn't say anything. She could've let us know she was ready to take our order instead of just staring at us until we're uncomfortable. We ordered 2 desserts and I noticed this location is more expensive and they tax. The south sac one doesn't do that based on the last time I went. The desserts are decent. My main issue is they aren't cold enough. They put a ball of crushed ice on top but even when it's mixed in with the drink it's not cold enough. So it makes me wonder if their other ingredients are even refrigerated.. I didnt get a receipt so I went up to ask the cashier to check if the promo applied and she said no claiming we had to specifically ask her to apply the 25% off promo and there's nothing she can do about it.
