Peking have been consistently making great food and have a wide selection, definitely worth the money spent, heck I'll pay a few dollars extra (hope they don't raise the price soon though). Stop by every few months and they seem to get all of the basics right: fast service, fresh food, large variety and a nice atmosphere. They expanded and are doing well with the competition across the street. Although I have not tried the hibachi place in Glassboro, the one on Washington TWP that closed was poor quality. We have been going here for years and used to like it a lot because it had a big selection of good tasting Chinese food AND quite a few healthy selections. PROS: It is roomy and comfortable, remodel went well. Sushi bar w/ u peel shrimp is good. Chinese dishes are tasty and traditional tasting with a few healthier selections. Lots of fresh fruit choices. While it could be less greasy, I think the coconut shrimp is best around. CONS: Things have changed in the last few years and especially since the Hibachi Buffet opened across the street. There has been an increase in the amount of grease overall and now too many American foods and fried foods. I understand having a few but this is supposed to a Chinese buffet. Many items that could be healthy like the baked fish and sautéed items are floating in oil, grease, butter - not good, not necessary. Had baked fish there yesterday, was like an oil soaked sponge. Waited for grilled shrimp & veges but it was never refilled. Peking should not compete with Hibachi Buffet by trying to be like them - Peking needs to be different and maybe provide healthy Chinese food selections. Peking buffet is a great place to be. I come here for all major holidays and birthdays. The Yang family is hospitable and friendly. The plethora of food is great and the place is really clean. For a place where you share ladles with everyone you are safe knowing they run a tight ship. The staff is attractive. I was pretty disappointed, we took the kids here on Saturday and they had been raving about how much they always liked it. Everything I got was cold. The stuffed shrimp was not very flavorful, just kind of bland. The best thing I got was the wonton soup. It was nice and hot and the wonton's were very good. The restaurant has foods to keep everyone happy. Young kids can get pizza, fries, mac and cheese, and nuggets that are totally American style. The clams are great, as is the chicken on a stick and the General Tsos chicken. I don't care for their P&P shrimp, crab rangoon, or bacon wrapped crab at all. All types of wings are great here (honey, fried, BBQ) they had ahrimp and basil spring rolls todAy, they were tasty. I have not tried the soup, salad, or fresh grill. There are hot Chinese biscuits and sugar covered peanuts for dessert. Traditional people can get four flavors of ice cream plus soft serve, many cakes, jello, etc. Service is great. Bathrooms are clean. If I were at a $20 per person restaurant, I might give a lower rating. But I ate there today with a Coupon Clipper coupon and it was $18 for four people before the tip! read more

Prime rib is the best, fried shrimp is good too. I use to eat all kinds of stuff from this place but since the shrimp and prime rib is so good I just eat those every time I go. Hibachi gets 4 stars. Everything else gets 2. Since I have to, I'll boil it down to a solid 3 meaning that this is worth a visit as long as you choose carefully. The hibachi section is simple but for the price is actually quite good. It's included in the cost of the normal buffet (but tipping the chef is appropriate). You walk right up and choose your ingredients, put them on a plate yourself, and hand them over to the chef. He cooks it up while you watch (just don't expect a Benihana-style show!). Ingredients to choose from include lo mein noodles, chicken, beef, shrimp, egg, pineapple, mushrooms, peppers.. everything you'd expect. Sauces include teriyaki, "brown", garlic, and sriracha (yum). It was satisfying, fresh and delicious. By default this makes it the only worthwhile selection in the entire restaurant. Afterward, when I went back up for the standard buffet fare I really wished I hadn't. The General Tso's was soggy and overcooked, the coconut pineapple chicken was flavorless and overcooked, and the teriyaki chicken was stringy and overcooked. The desserts were okay, nothing special but not bad. These are the same as you'd expect; sugared donuts, fruit salad, Jello, Pudding, apple pie, and ice cream (hard and soft serve). It was all good enough. There were no vegetarian options on the sushi cart, which is a shame because I was looking forward to some sweet potato or cucumber rolls. It was a fish-only affair. The tempura-fried rolls were cold and hard which leads me to believe they had been out of the frier for quite some time. The raw sushi was okay, but who knows how long it was out. Kinda makes me wonder if that was a wise decision... shiver. (Update: We survived) On a positive note my two-year-old daughter loved watching the Koi swim in the waterfall pond in the lobby. She also got a kick out of the color-changing lights in the ceiling. I'd say they're tacky, but most toddlers would disagree with me. We had to ask three times to get a booster seat for her, by the way. Here's something I found funny. On the door was a handwritten note saying "Easter Special: Dinner only $9.99" which seemed like a fair enough price. But on the way out, in the parking lot we saw a makeshift billboard advertising dinner buffet for $7.99. Some special that was! Anyway, I don't mean to be too hard on the place. The food was about what you'd expect from the average Chinese buffet, sadly, but the hibachi alone is worth a visit. Give them a chance if this is what you're craving. We will be returning, and I will be making multiple trips to the hibachi station and ONLY the hibachi station. read more

Visited here once and didn't care for the food. A lot of it tasted really fake along with the deserts they had out. I got a piece of "cheesecake" but tasted like styrofoam. Stay away!! Read ok reviews thought it would be a good place to get a quick late lunch, wish I never went. Service was inadequate! Quality of food was questionable. Place was a mess. If it's chaotic with customers it seems the staff have no clue how to act, most of them were just as rude as some of the patrons dining there. So I come here with my wife and 3 kids. The website says police, fire and military 10% discount with ID. I come in and show them my ID, they question me and then they start scrambling around talking to each other and pointing. This buffet is great for a variety of reasons. 1) The location is easily assessable and parking is easy 2) Food is always fresh and tasty 3) The place is clean 4) There are many options (especially good for picky eaters) I've been to quite a few buffets in the region from PA to DE to NJ and this one is by far my favorite. My favorite item on the menu is definitely the General Tso Chicken. I sometimes order it to-go as well. The take-out food is actually better than the buffet food but either way the food is really really good. After coming here for over 17 years, I will NOT be returning! They charged our party of 4 for four dinners even tho only two of us had dinner items. When we tried to explain this to the waitress and then to another waitress we were then told to explain it up front at the register which I did. The woman up front told me that my husband was seen getting clams, I explained to her that yes he did, he got them for ME. Which he sometimes does due to an accident I had last year which I have not completely recovered from. They basically called me and my family liars, all over a few dollars, THIS is how they treat people who been loyal for many years. Their loyalty ends where a dollar or two begin. I went here with a few friends and they asked us to leave because we were there "too long" and they needed to clear tables for other customers.
