We remember that you used to be able to get your own peanuts from a big barrel and then throw shells on the ground ... but no more, probably due to a rise in nut allergies. Now peanuts come in a bag in a small bucket. Pretty big space with different rooms and various seating in booths and chairs along with a bar area. Wide selection of menu items and drinks in addition to the early dine menu. DH got the (single) Grilled Pork Chop with (upcharged) loaded potato and I got the (cream gravy) Country Fried Steak with (upcharged) mac & cheese and loaded sweet potato. We originally thought the entrees would be smaller portioned on the early dine menu ... but they were decent sized and we left totally stuffed. The servers were very attentive and the manager even stopped by to ask everyone how their meals were. When we also mentioned that we hadn't been there in a while, they even gave us a pack of peanuts with a free appetizer coupon to come back. He promised pretty drinks and rare steaks, how could I say no? It was loud but friendly, GREAT customer service, the wait time can be 30-40 minutes so we made a reservation the day of dinner, which can be done on the website. We received two texts one to confirm our reservation and wait time and one advising us when we should start moving to the hosts to confirm seating. Did I say it was loud? Loud but not obnoxious with yelling children, but extremely upbeat and festive. MLB was on a big screen. My rib eye steak was awesome, rare, and cut so smooth with my steak knife..... the Sangria Margarita was exactly how I asked, no complaints. Great company and MLB what a perfect night. It had been over a year since our last Texas Roadhouse visit, since we don't do chains too often these days, but we were craving some rolls with cinnamon butter so we decided to wait over an hour on a Saturday for the deliciousness. There is definitely something to be said for being able to receive a text when your table is ready. It allowed us to wait in the car ( and browse Hobby Lobby nearby) instead of being jammed in the crowded waiting area. When we were seated we noticed that for the first time in over a decade they added a new item to the menu, mozzarella twists! So, we had to go ahead and try them. We also ordered the Coastal Key Lime Margarita and Texas Peach Fuzz as our adult beverages. The margarita arrived without the Graham cracker rim which we were kind of excited to try, but the drink itself definitely had key lime pie vibes. The mozzarella twists were crispy and exactly as you'd expect from a mozzarella stick that was twisted into a twirly shape. I almost wish they had some cheese curds with a buttermilk ranch dip as their new item, since it would pair well with the rest of the menu, but I dont work for the company so what can I say? For our entrees we went with the bacon cheeseburger. If you haven't had a cheeseburger at TR you're missing out. They overcooked them a tad this particular evening, but it was still good, albeit a little dryer than usual. I ordered a side of Mayo with mine and it ACTUALLY arrived with a side of mayo, which doesn't happen too often. I usually have to ask for it again, so this was a nice little surprise. I also love the steak fries at Texas Roadhouse. I realize many people prefer thin cut but I'm a thicccc fry gal and I am glad I can get them here. Came in with some friends for a birthday celebration. While this wasn't my first time at Texas Roadhouse, I had never been to this location before. For sides, I got Buttered Corn and Steak Fries. I am also very particular about ordering my steak rare. Many restaurants tend to still overlook it to at least a medium rare, sometimes even darker. My steak looked perfect once I cut into it. The fries were crispy, fresh, and flavorful. The corn wasn't anything super special, but it tasted fresh and hit the spot. Throughout our meal, our server did a great job on refilling beverages and checking on us. Once it came time for dessert, the whole team did a great job. They got together, brought out a saddle for the birthday friend, and sang to him. He was perfectly surprised and embarrassed, as he should be! Overall, I have nothing bad to say about this location.
