I walked in and asked to be seated, in an empty restaurant, near an outlet so I could charge my phone, the rude woman said bluntly- "No. You want eat here or not?!" Ridiculous. Got a yelp account t just to write this review. Rude business owners don't deserve success. There's a reason it's called the service industry and there are many who know how to treat people who struggle. Please don't go here. read more

Coming from the Bay area in CA, I wasn't expecting to find great Chinese food in Nebraska. Imagine our surprise to discover this restaurant on our way down the interstate. Really great food and the owners were super friendly and funny. We were getting a little tired of the usual burgers and such, so this was a welcome change. Definitely recommend. read more

Ate here twice in a week. Sweet and sour soup is ok. Thicken pieces were small on the orange chicken pieces which were deep fried. Mongolian beef was ok. Prices are inexpensive, portions are smaller than than most Chinese restaurants along with that. The waitress served us Chinese Pepsi at least that is what she said it was. read more

My husband and I lived in the Ogallala area for 13 years and absolutely love Peking Chinese Restaurant. They've ruined every other Chinese restaurant for us because they can never measure up to the flavors and food quality we have consistently received. We moved from the area 14 years ago and still work in a meal there every time we go back to visit friends. Ling and Tear (spelling??) wouldn't settle for sub-par food. In terms of the negatives on the service, Ling is a no-nonsense server and as long as you treat them well and with respect, they'll treat you well back. Something may have been said that insulted her -- and she has a TREMENDOUS memory! Wish we could get them to move to eastern Nebraska! read more

Very good food and people are very nice, the place is very clean and spacious. Chinese music in a background is very relaxing and great during eating your food. Order Chinese beer, it's delicious, we got Chinese tea with the meal. The prices are very economical, give a good tip !! read more

I am not from around here but relocated recently and this place is a welcome surprise. My husband and I love the hot and sour soup, the sesame chicken is awesome, he likes the noodle dishes and we have not had anything bad there. Definitely recommend it!! read more

The place was very cold we couldn't even take our coats off. The waitress/owner was very rude to kids. I will not go back. Small portions.

The worst service I've ever had, with decent but oversalted and overpriced food. Ordered moo shu veggies and was fine with them being out of pancakes, but surprised when I was charged 4 extra dollars for adding shrimp, and another 3 for white rice to go with it. My sister, not so hungry, had a crab Rangoon and asked for a to go container for the rest. Our server's reply? We don't have one. I had to ask for every single utensil, plate, and water cup for our table of 4 (my 2 small kids ate just egg rolls, and therefore weren't deemed deserving of plates, water, or utensils for sharing bites of my rice). Did I want to buy extra fortune cookies, since only 1 came with our $ 20 tab? No, thanks. After 32 years in business, maybe it's time for this server/owner to find another line of work if she is this miserable and miserly. read more

While driving to Denver, we needed to find a place to grab a quick dinner, and thanks to the Yelp reviews, we found this gem of a place. The decor is dated and unassuming but the food was fresh and delicious! We ordered a bowl of the Peking wonton soup, which came with shrimp, chicken, and lots of vegetables, along with 3 or 4 pork wontons. It was seasoned just right without the after taste of MSG that is in a lot of the soup broths in Chinese restaurants. We also ordered the beef and scallops sizzling platter, pork with snow peas, and the obligatory chicken lo-mein for my daughter. We really weren't that hungry when we came in (just felt we needed to eat something because we knew our food options were going to be much more limited for the remaining 3 hours drive to Denver) but we ended up finishing every last morsel of food on the plates. Yes, it was that good! The food came out super fast and was so reasonably priced. I read that the place is run by a husband and wife team. The wife (Ling) took everyone's order efficiently and obviously knew how to multitask because it was just her out front for 4 or 5 tables but we got in and out within 45 minutes. I would definitely eat here again if I was in the area again! read more

I have never had Chinese food that tastes like this before, and I have eaten at many Chinese restaurant's in my life. The egg drop soup was watery and very salty, and the Mongolian beef tasted horrible. It was flavorless and not enjoyable. The fried rice that was served with the meal had a microwaved taste as it was so dry and lacking any flavor. Overall a disappointment. read more

Loved it so much we came twice on our short road trip! The food is really, really good. We ate sweet n sour chicken, ckn lomein, moo goo gai pan, happy family, beef skewers, crab rangoons, beef n broccoli and everything was spectacular. My personal fav is the chicken lo mein!! Unfortunately their efforts to pinch a penny are completely obvious. This used to be a great place to eat wth great portions and delicious food. Ill give a couple of examples on the pinching penny comment. No straws are given, no to go on drinks, the portions have gone down DRASTICALLY, If you are looking for a full belly you may want to order double, you have to ask for sweet and sour sauce which is just a little dabble in the bowl, ask for hot mustard - again a pea size. The egg rolls that were once a nice size are now tiny grease rolls. They are Not the same as they have always been and actually now taste disgusting. It also seems like everything is just grease grease grease. They are cutting so many corners and it shows and it's sad. For the exact same price but double the portion I can go to the other Chinese restaurant. I think they are only AAA rated because they are members??? There's better places in town for your money and you'll get better service. P.S. watch your ticket amount and what is run through the credit card machine..... read more

Food was good and the lunch prices were reasonable. The restaurant opened promptly at 11 and since we just crossed into Mountain time, it was around 12 in our minds. The server treated us well and our food arrived quickly. It was a clean and welcoming restaurant. I will definitely return when I travel this way again. read more

Was driving through and the family was getting hungry. We were all tired of fast food chain restaurants and wanted to find something local. I did a yelp search and came across this little hidden gem in Ogallala. Who knew that in the middle of Nebraska you could get great Chinese food. We were greeted immediately and shown to our table. Our server which I assume was the owner, was very polite and patient with us and our two small children. We started out with the egg drop soup and crab ragoons both of which were delicious. Entrees came promptly after we were finishing the appetizers. The fried rice is one of the best we have ever had. I told our server to surprise me with what ever she recommended. Needless to say I was not disappointed. It was so good that I forgot to catch the name of the entree. My wife had the Orange chicken from which she said was very good. Wish we could find this quality of Chinese food in our home town! If we pass by again, we are definitely coming back! read more
